yep it sounds like Arik is finishing up his semester at UGA if what is being reported is true.. also sounds like BJ is also leaving LSU.  LSU might be firing a coach this offseason.. it's pretty bad right now there.

Take it for what it's worth, but SoFL said weeks ago that Monken has taken over the WR room since week 2 this season. So it definitely sounds like Hankton is gone, and I'd guess the most likely outcome is Monken officially taking over WR's for 2021 with Faulker stepping up into the QB room.

Doesn't sound like JT Daniels has any intentions of leaving.
Bulldog Bob has signaled that Daniels return for the 21 season is expected.
Radi also mentioned a report of someone speaking with Daniels this weekend and being told that he is returning for next season.
Think we can put this one to bed. He wants to get a full season with Monken and this offense under his belt and try to push his way into the 1st round.

Doubtful on Bobo. If Bobo doesn't stay on at South Carolina, he will have offers for OC elsewhere. Word on that was he wanted to bring his own guys in and Kirby wasn't agreeable, so I don't think that's getting revisited.
I've heard that Hankton will be leaving. Folks can make of it what they will, I'm not sure of any of the specifics on that change.
It's worth noting that Monken has quite a bit of experience coaching WRs at a very high level and coached the position professionally in the NFL. If the Hankton info proves to be true then I think I am expecting Buster Faulkner to replace him on staff, with Monken and Faulkner collaborating between the QBs and receivers position coaching. Faulkner also figures to be an heir apparent to Monken as OC, so promoting Faulkner makes a lot of sense for continuity purposes as well.
As far as Muschamp goes, I really don't know. Rumors will fly. He and Kirby are good friends and he would have been on Kirby's staff had SC not offered him the head coaching job. I'm not sure if there will be a job opening for him at UGA though. I don't think Kirby is of any mind to push out Lanning, they have been very successful together, but if Lanning gets an offer and Muschamp is willing then Kirby may let that issue take care of itself. We'll just have to wait and see. Muschamp will definitely have DC offers so he could wind up anywhere.

    So…recruiting update.
Heard this morning that Xavian Sorey may stay with his initial timeline which is before Thanksgiving. If he chooses to do so, we’re sticking with the UGA pick. How we lost to fu has caused pause here especially without being able to sit down face to face with coaches and answer questions he may have. UGA is the choice if he announces early. If he pushes to after the new year, we’ll talk about that then but our chances decrease. He and Arnold are attempting to be a package deal.
Nyland Green-been lots of creamsicle chatter here, centered around them creating a spot for his sister to be an athletic trainer. Now hearing he’s taken calls from Venerables (CU) daily as well. However, this is another one I think stays with the Dawgs, but it’s not the slam dunk it was a month ago. This was another before Thanksgiving announcement but I’d be pleasantly surprised if he announces before next week. Might end up being UGA vs. CU in the end.
Maason Smith hearing was on a call with Scott, Lanning, & N. Williams for 30 minutes on Tuesday night. He’s never been a UGA lock but gut here is that we win this battle. Staff seems to get quality time with this kid when they want; can’t ignore that. Just need to get him back to campus. LSU is in big trouble here and I think a significant hammer is coming down.
Donovan Edwards and family were supposed to be in town this weekend. As of this post, we haven’t been able to confirm his travel arrangements. Indicator it’s not going to happen. We will not land him site unseen by both parents. Full family sign off is what we’re hearing. Believe his dad has seen UGA earlier this year. If he isn’t here Sat, Vandy is last realistic opportunity. Big need here imo. Might be biggest realistic need remaining on board.
Been asked a few times on X. Worthy, also committed to Michigan. Just don’t see it guys. Hope and prayer here. Haven’t heard of any plans for him to come check us out on his own dime. He’s communicated but no teeth to it. I don’t have an additional WR flip target name with strong feelings at this time. I’m not sure how much staff really wants Malik McClain over who we have committed based on recent chatter today.
Terrion Arnold…our take probably won’t make sense here but it’s what we feel. We will land Arnold, “if”, we land Sorey and Smith. We believe Arnold would sign on to play with those two (Foreman would join Smith). Miss on either, especially Sorey, and he’s headed to fu. Belief is that Bama is third here. Essentially, we think fu is his top choice currently, but he wants to play alongside equal talent he’s developed relationships previously.
We are speculating a max class size of 23. We do have a few who could be forward counters and take advantage of other resources. Speculation is staff wants 2-3 transfer spots. Challenge is we don’t have the initial counters available. Not sure how this will be navigated. Transfers depending on when they enroll can be counted towards 22. Winter enrollment (most ideal) count against 21 class. NCAA is going to have to offer some flex to 90-95 initial counters. We will lose more than we backfill here. Most of the losses will not be impact players imo.

Those who watch Brooks Austin will know he has a different read on this mechanic.
He thinks that JT is doing this intentionally because Aaron Rodgers does it, but believes it is poor technique that will limit his deep balls, as we saw Saturday with a few underthrows. Yes, ARod has managed to make it work, but he's the only person ever to do so.

The hope is that he learned a few lessons.
    1) the company you keep matters a lot, even more so when you have a lot to lose
    2) no amount of talent in the world is going to replace the need for making good impressions around your focus, dedication, and work ethic
I would love to see the Falcons take a shot on him.

Makes me so happy that Baker's story was validated and charges all dropped.
I wouldn't be mad at all if he got his shot at redemption back in Atlanta. The chip on his shoulder right now must be the size of a boulder.

ole miss never had a real shot to win.. you can't play that bad of defense and be a serious threat to win.  you are bound to make a mistake (see the bad snap) from getting behind.. prime example is bama is running and running and ole miss can't stop them..

um no.. they aren't getting caught overlooking anyone.. they are getting their butts kicked defensively period.  ole miss is owning them and that is due to great play calling and lane knows this defense better than most do.. i wish we ran a similar system that lane runs, but we don't.. we run a system that feeds in what bama likes to defend.. hugh freeze had a lot of success against bama's defense because they spread them out and hit their weaknesses.  gotta give ole miss a ton of credit they have done a terrific job gameplanning.. saban and his staff have zero idea how to stop them.  ole miss has no chance to win this game because they don't have a defense, but they are at least making this entertaining.. lol

Jeff Sentell   @jeffsentell · 3h   Georgia has beaten Auburn and Tennessee in back-to-back weeks. Don't think that has happened before. But I know we'll never see a Georgia team hold the Tigers and Vols to a combined 38 yards on 49 carries. That's less than 1 yard per attempt. Just mind-boggling in the SEC.

"Georgia played exactly how it was projected to play. The Dawgs were first in defensive SP+ last year and were projected a distant first this year with a motherlode of returning production. Through two games, their defensive SP+ rating, presented as an adjusted points per game figure, is 6.2. Here is the entire list of teams that have finished with a better rating in the past 30 years:--2006 Virginia Tech (4.6)--1991 Miami (4.9)--2017 Alabama (5.6)That's it. Smart was the defensive coordinator for a couple of otherworldly defenses at Alabama (6.4 in 2011, 6.5 in 2009), but if the projections and early performances hold up, this could be his masterpiece. We've talked a lot about Georgia's early-season QB issues -- but with this defense, the Dawgs' offense has to be just merely good for the team to contend. Having said that, Georgia's offense looked pretty fantastic on a few drives against what was, heading into the game, the No. 2 defense, per defensive SP+."
