who within the vols athletic department is continually releasing information to the public.. danny white had vetted 3 coaches and it got out within hours. there is one thing when the AD released information, but I highly doubt DW would want that public.. it keeps making the vols look worst.. franklin turned down an 8 million dollar deal which is over 2 million more than he has at penn state..

I'd be great if this guy would just retire and go away. Such a trash human being.

fibonaccisquared reacted to Carter in January 2021 UGA Recruiting Thread
I think Cook is under appreciated because he doesn’t show up big in the stats, but he demands attention from defenses and I believe our offense is better with him. He’s a tremendous receiving threat unlike any other RB we have on the roster. I think year 2 with JT Daniels and Monken could elevate Cook’s draft outlook quite a bit.
To be clear, I don’t expect a 2019 LSU type of offensive juggernaut turnaround, but it might be the best in the SEC. (Year 4 Matt Corral at Ole Miss under Kiffin will be hard to beat on stats. Bama will have a ton of turnover offensively.) We saw the offense open up in different ways after Daniels stepped in though and he’s a true nerd of the game; I think the improvement could be significant.
UGA should have significant playoff expectations across the board next season. It should elevate a lot of guys draft stock.

make the most sense. Get paid like a head coach, less responsibility, spend time with your son.

fibonaccisquared reacted to Unknøwn in Peach Bowl: #9 Georgia vs #8 Cincinnati
UGA has to stop the run. Cincy likes to ground and pound. That will be tough against UGA if they come out ready. Theyll also have to spy the QB. Cincy only put up 2,100 yards passing as a team all year compared to over 2,000 rushing. The QB had 600 of those yards on the ground. That is similar to UGA's output but UGA was doing against much different competition. If Cincy can't run the ball on UGA then its going to be a long night for the Bearcats. Cincy's best trait defensively is their pass defense so they might give UGA some trouble there, they allowed less than 200 yards per game in the air. Teams have run on them. Tulsa put up 160 yards at nearly 5 yards a carry in the title game. ECU put up 206 rushing on them.

Yep. McKitty leaving may also be a Kirby/team preference as they're still trying to manage DW and prevent transfer portal concerns there. As far as DJ Daniels goes, if he's gone next year anyway, I think I'd rather see what one of the youngsters offers us in the bowl game and get them the extra practices/snaps. At a minimum it lets Kirby know how hard he's got to plan around the position and/or hit the recruiting trail/transfer portal for additions. Once we lost to UF, a lot of mental calculus likely had to change around ensuring the team is setup for success going forward.

FWIW, they've proven now for a few years in a row that they will maximize WR value and help propel them to the draft. UGA is going to have to prove it with Pickens, Burton, etc in 21 or we'll likely continue to struggle to get the players we would like there.
