The Smart One got a reaction from Vandy in Do you think that Grady Jarrett will extend or restructure this off-season?
An extension would create the most cap room and likely would make the most sense as he’s a core piece of the defense.

The issue is how far do you want to go to making the team competitive this year. A restructure allows us to sign our draft class. An extension would let us go after a few of the quality FA on the market as well.

Ryan’s money hasnt been the problem for rings. It’s dumb coaches like DQ.

I think a difference between this draft and the Quinn drafts is that these players are versatile coming in vs Quinn trying to turn players into something they weren’t.

If Dallas doesn’t go for that then they can suck it and enjoy watching Pitts play in ATL. It’s not really a negotiation it’s more of a price for the pick.

If Dallas wants Pitts at 4 I think the deal needs to be something like 4 and 219 for 10 44 75 99 and a 1st next year. If we’re gonna miss out on one of the 3 super elite prospects in the draft   the team moving up has to pay through the nose.

Please bring to our franchise a building block  for our future. Not a gimmick splash of a tight end, or a giant OT,of which there are many available round 2,3,4,not  trading back for a grab bag of no names. Please have the courage to bring home one of the  5 National acclaimed QBs.Which ever one you deem is the best for our Falcons in the long run.Matt Ryan,as great as he's been,is getting older. His productivity WILL fall off., maybe not this year, but it is inevitable.Bring one in of these young stud QBs while we have the opportunity to build at THE most important posistion. It's all set up for you,for US

Man can't you guys lay off the pitts crap. Never draft a tight end in the top five. Especially when it's not even a complete tight end. Man what's going on with this fan base

Falcons acquire No. 1 overall pick from Jaguars; Jaguars get No. 4, No. 35, 2022 No. 1, and Matt Ryan

The Atlanta Falcons have traded up from the 4th overall pick to the first overall in a league-shaking trade with the Jacksonville Jaguars, NFL Network Insider Ian Rapoport reported late Wednesday evening. Jacksonville receives the 4th overall selection from Atlanta, the 35th overall selection, a 2022 first-round pick and former MVP QB Matt Ryan, per Rapoport. The Falcons are presumed to be selecting Clemson QB - Trevor Lawrence.
The trade, which Atlanta announced late Wednesday, for the No. 1 overall pick can have massive ramifications on the outlook of the league at quarterback. NFL Network's Steve Wyche reported Friday that Falcons coach Arthur Smith told him Matt Ryan remained in the team's plans until a conversation with Ryan late in the day on Tuesday, which Rapoport added was heated and ended with a formal demand for a trade by Ryan and his agent.
"We've spent plenty of time and digital space wringing our hands over the future of Ryan, which includes wondering if he'll be able to be healthy beyond 2021 at his age," said Terry Fontenot, Atlanta's new GM. In conversation about his future health, Ryan is said to have lost his temper, pointing to an overall exemplary bill of health for the entirety of his career. People close to the situation, who would prefer not to be named, claim that "the new regime lost Ryan when they questioned his ability to stay healthy when he has proven that for more than a decade."
Details on this story are still coming to light, but it has been confirmed by league sources that the trade has been submitted for league approval. We will keep you posted as we learn more.

I think Miami saw the value of 3. They just got a Godfather deal. Plus Smith Slater or Parsons should be there for them at 12 if that’s how they want to go.
