  1. Sitting here watching the Harmon and Patterson introduction press conferences and one thing they both said was that the coach and coaching staff were the main reason they came to Atlanta.

I can’t remember that last time I heard players saying that about the Falcons. Having a coach guys want to play for and a GM they respect is going to go a long way towards getting this franchise turned around. I’m loving the energy these guys have brought to the team.

  2. My son actually has epilepsy and plays football with it. He’s had epilepsy his entire life and it’s never affected him on the field. The first few years he played he had a special reinforced helmet and then just a regular one but he does just fine. He started playing football at 5yrs old and now he’s 18yrs old and  6’2 230lb TE that runs a 4.61. 40. I don’t epilepsy will hinder Fields at all. It’s very manageable.

For sure. Gainwell is definitely intriguing. He's like a bigger/more compact Ito Smith with probably more speed. Ito did run a 4.48 I believe but we never got to see it on game day. I'm definitely hoping we get a speedster/3rd down kinda RB in the draft if we don't go Ettiene in the 2nd

I wouldn’t be upset with Javonte Williams out of North Carolina either. Putting him with Davis would be an awesome tandem.

Senat already backs up Davison, and also Grady plays nearly 30% of his snaps at NT, too.

I’m not so sure CB is a priority anymore after picking up Moreau.

Terrell is surely going to improve after already playing extremely well for a rookie.

Sheffield and Oliver can battle over the slot.  Williams is also in year 2 and will hopefully be improved.

Harris and Harmon will probably be our starters at safety. And even though we will surely draft another safety, I’m not so sure they will be better than Harris and Harmon right out the gate. Also we really have no clue what we got in Hawkins, too.

Edge and LG are our 2 biggest holes. And AS is definitely going to want another TE and big RB.  And of course there’s not even a QB2 on the roster, but there’s still a ton of vets available, and we’ll almost assuredly draft one with one of our 9 picks.

That said, if we move back and get Surtain or Horn early, I won’t be unhappy.

Anyway, point is don’t be upset if we don’t take all those defensive positions in the first 4 rounds. We have needs on offense and this is a bad draft for defense in general top to bottom, while it’s incredible for offense in the first 4 rounds, especially the first 2.

If the talent gap is so much slanted offense, don’t be surprised if our first 4 rounds is mostly offense, and then we loud up on defense after.

I’ve heard this draft wasn’t super heavy on great defensive players. My thinking is every year there are players that are looked over and seriously out performed their draft positions. TF has said he’s put a focus on finding those guys and with defense being a major need I figured he’d lean that way.

I've thought about this. Like what if Terrance Marshall from LSU is there in the 2nd. Do we take him? What if Williams does fall to the 3rd? It's definitely possible the 1st three picks are offensive. There so much unknown with it being TFont's first year.

I could see the first two picks being Offensive but beyond that I don’t know if they’d choose to pass up on defense with us needing so much and not really having many holes on offense.

I'm hoping he is man. I think he and Terrell could be a solid pairing on the outside. The NB spot isn't resolved yet though. Oliver is nice as a bigger nickle but Sheffield had such a down year idk about him any more. Oliver at safety certainly is worth taking a look for sure

I’m willing to see how Sheffield looks under a new regime through training camp. He flashed potential early on, a better coaching staff will probably help him become a consistent player maker.

With all the run on QBs and WR, OL going in first round. There would be some good talent on defensive side of the ball at 35. If they can trade down and get extra pick, it would be even better.

I’d love to trade down with Miami and still get our guy while picking up an extra 2nd or 3rd pick. Some great players or bound to fall.. Edge, CB, Safety, maybe even a Guard could be right there. I think we’ll end up with great picks regardless because we’re picking high in each round and TF seems to know exactly what he’s doing.

I do think DL isn't gonna get much more added to it. Maybe a late Rd guy like Tonga or Bobby Brown.

Edge certainly is a need and I'm hoping someone falls to the 2nd that is worthy of the pick.

I'm not sold on Oliver and Sheffiled being CB3-4. I'd love an Aaron Robinson in the 3rd or some other guy to man the NB spot or at least compete for it. I'm definitely not comfortable rolling with the CB group and not having a guy that can truly compete year 1.

This will be intriguing as **** to see how TFont goes about the draft. Exciting time

I believe Moreau may be better than we think but I wouldn’t be opposed to a top notch CB to go along with Terrell. I’m thinking cut Oliver or move him to Strong Safety I’ve had enough of him at Corner.

We upgraded safety, CB is looking better. There isn’t glaring need to reach for the picks. I see lot of value at top of second for pass rushers. Good thing is falcons can sit back and draft any of the positions with out reaching for a player/position.

    And that’s a beautiful thing.

I understand taking one of the top 3 guys at RB in the 2nd. I wouldn't be mad. I think the addition of Mike Davis and Patterson being listed as a RB shows that we won't go RB early in the draft, but it could just be a chess move to hope one falls to us.

Some later round guys like Hubbard, Herbert, Gainwell, Hawkins, Ragas, and Mitchell make more sense to me this year. Then go RB higher next year or the year after depending on how things are going. But if Ettiene is there, I'd have a hard time passing on him if I'm TFont. Williams could fall to the 3rd possibly but probably not. Either way I think the CB and G/C class falls off after the 2-3 Rds a bit so I'm going there in those Rds.

I guess it’d just depend on who’s available. I’d definitely be all in on Gainwell if he’s there in the 3rd.

Check out some of the vids from Pees and players. Pees and Lee Smith are here because they want to be a part of whatever AS is doing. Others have said it as well.

Other players say they've heard about him through association with other players and he's the kind of guy they want to play for.

We haven't had a snap yet this season, and players and coaches are excited to be in whatever movement he's going to build. That says a lot.

And TF? Well both of them actually. We haven't had a pair this football smart and highly intelligent in the history of the Falcons. I'm feeling confident it's going to translate very well onto the field and into this team.

There’s just something about the way they operate that makes me feel like they’re going to turn this franchise around.

If we can add a CB, S, and Edge in the draft within the 1st 4 Rds I think it would definitely help. DT isn't as big a need with Jarrett, Davison, Davidson, Cominsky, Senat, Bullard. I still want a guy to backup Davison at NT for sure later in the draft.

Whether we go Pitts or Lance/Fields at #4, the next few picks need to be Defense. RB to me can wait until Rd5.

With our current 9 picks I think 6 should be defensive with the three offensive being RB, TE, OL. Should we gain additional picks because of a trade down then it should still be a similar percentage. But I'm on board with BPA so who knows how it'll play out.

I’m almost there with you on your thinking except I’d grab a running back in the 2nd. I think one of the guys there could set us up and that position for the next 4-5 years. I’d pass on TE and go completely defense after the 2nd round unless we end up grabbing Pitts in the first round.

Just have to wait and see what the draft adds....but I do think with a couple additions it’s possible to be top 20. The most important thing for defense is to be close to top 15-20 in 22. We ain’t winning theSB this year for sure, I just hope for consistency and solid play

I wanna shock some teams. I really believe we’re going to steal some games that people will automatically count us out in. Of course I’m not screaming Super Bowl but I do think we’re going to be better than expected.

Stephen A. blaming Matt Ryan for losing SB 51 proves that he doesn't know his elbow from his ******* when it comes to football

Exactly.. look at his record picking the NBA champs, out of all the years he’s been an analyst last year was the first time he actually got it right and basketball is supposed to be his expertise llh FOH😅😅

  15. There’s no doubt our offense has the potential to be dangerous, especially after we pick up a few pieces in the draft but how do you guys feel about the defense. We have a few proven guys but I’m not sure where we stand as an entire unit.

I’m happy we have Dean Pees running the defense but I’m just wondering if we have enough talent to run his system at a high level. I look at guys like Donte Fowler, Marlon Davis, John Cominski and even Deion Jones and I’m thinking Pees can take them to another level or at the very least use them in the correct way.

  16. When Terry Fontenot first started to sign free agents I didn’t like what I was seeing. I didn’t like the first few guys he brought in. I didn’t understand why he chose the players he did. After watching the moves he’s made and seeing how the players fit a specific blueprint I love what he’s doing.

The way he’s putting this team together, getting these restructures done and not hesitating to release the players that don’t fit Arthur Smith’s vision is the exact opposite of what I’m used to seeing with this team. Which is why I didn’t understand Fontenot’s moves in the beginning . There are a lot of us that are still traumatized by the Falcons old ways of doing things. Lol

Fontenot chooses guys with recent production over big names. He has an eye for talent and apparently guys want to play for Smith judging from the contracts we were able to get a few of these guys on. That’s a welcome change. If these are the moves Fontenot can pull off with tight Cap space I can’t wait to see what happens when we actually have some money to work with.

Y'all think every move, even signing a te nobody has ever heard of, changes draft plans....

If anything this guy is competing with Jaden Graham for the last TE spot. There’s no way THIS signing impacts whether or not TF drafts Pitts.
