  1. I’ve been saying this too...Ryan and the offense is so much better and gets more wins when they spread the ball around and he gets, by design, near 10 different players receiving the ball, including his rb’s. When you feel the need to force it to just a few guys all game, that gets too easy to defend. I look forward to seeing Pitts on the field to see what we really have there, but I have complete confidence that spreading it around will get it done. If Pitts is a monster, even then I hope we wouldn’t go back to trying to force feed it to him a la Julio.
  2. Matt and this offense have always been at its best when he can spread the ball to around double digit pass catchers (wr, te, and rb’s) in a game. Without Julio to focus in on and try to force the ball too, I expect this offense to roll if it can put together the semblance of a running threat!
  3. It’s a quote from the movie if I remember correctly.
  4. Ogbah off the table now...but more affordable numbers @AdamSchefter · 2m Defensive end Emmanuel Ogbah has agreed to terms with the Miami Dolphins on a 2-year deal worth $15M with $7.5M fully guaranteed, @RosenhausSports told ESPN.
  5. More likely is that it's a stock photo someone had on hand from when they wore the throwbacks when Brian Poole (#34) was on the team...our current 34 is Chris Cooper. If you were planning to give a clue would that be the best options... a guy whose not even on the team anymore or a back up player
  6. I can hear the interview now: Q - Hey Arthur, where did the inspiration come from for the new uniforms?? A - "Well, there is this one movie that a lot of the guys liked..."
  7. Found this on someones Twitter account for an example
  8. So what you are saying is we are going to look like The Mean Machine from The Longest Yard

  10. Just saying to me it would make more sense and be a better option than DLeds move of mortgaging this years and next years draft to move up to get Young and still be in the hole with the cap and no other pieces. Not that its a realistic possibility to happen...no way they would do it, too much loyalty.
  11. Understood and that's quite a profound statement on a board where almost every thread is based on "ifs". The greatest ideas start with ifs...they just have to make sense to pursue them. This Falcons FO is not making decisions that promote trust in theirs at this point.
  12. And therein lies the problem..."no it wouldn't"...but if it could??!!
  13. I meant Julio for sure...and then Matt possibly on top of Julio in sarcasm, not instead of...like i said, real changes and not just the same old patchwork stuff we have become accustomed too.
  14. SO LETS THINK OUTSIDE THE BOX. Its hard to have a positive outlook as we keep hearing the same old names being kicked around to fix things...Clay, Means, Davison, etc... SO, strictly from a business standpoint and not loyalty...and wanting to see something actually happen that shakes this team up, instead of giving up all those draft picks to get to pick 2 or 3 as Dled recommends, how about this? A trade: Trade Julio to whichever teams spot you need to get Chase Young if you think he is THE man and acquire not just their 1st round pick, but other draft capital as well and at the same time freeing up a lot of cap space. Use that spot to draft Young, draft BPA of need with additional picks, and now have cap room to work with to sign multiple FA positions (even A.J. Green to take Julio's spot). I love Julio just as much as anyone else, but I'm ready for something exciting to happen that doesn't follow the usual pattern of mortgaging the future, but adds to the possibilities of it. Heck, why not trade Ryan to the Bengals for even more draft capital and cap space and take Joe Burrow. :-)
  15. I had in my notes to pick up one in Free Agency...preferably a proven one
