Also, there have been many reports that DirecTV and DirecTV Now has been losing subscribers by the boatload and are not doing well.

The NFL probably sees the end of the line in their partnership and they can't just sit back and be exclusive to DirecTV anymore.

Sling, Hulu, Amazon, and ESPN+ have all become very popular streaming platforms that could have way more potential with NFL Sunday Ticket for the future and opens up the door to increase subscribers and viewers.

The service has drastically gone down hill since AT&T took over. DirecTV was much better when it was it’s own entity

  2. Poor/sub-par conditioning and injuries definitely have a strong relationship. Let’s not be so quick to dismiss the topic here. However, there is also a factor of **** happens at play too. A lot of people confuse ‘conditioning’ and think it only applies to cardiovascular endurance. Starting rookies are at the greatest risk for injury coming in because they’re not used to the demands of the NFL yet. They’re basically playing two college football seasons in one NFL season from start of training camp to end of regular season.

So if your son had died under his control you'd he ok with this?

@papachaz you too, y'all would all still like him? Do some more reading man. Please. Read the parent and player statements.

I’d be upset as any good parent would be, sure. That doesn’t give me or anyone else license to strip him of his livelihood though. I’m all about giving someone a shot at redemption because I would expect a shot at one myself. If it really was as bad as y’all are making it out to be, he would have NEVER been reinstated so quickly. I’ve read the parent and player statements, I would also encourage you or anyone else to do your homework on it as well (meaning read/watch from ALL angles)

I want to also clarify by saying I deal with things on a case by case basis. This wasn’t Penn State nor should it be treated as such. He was also brought on in a ‘consulting’ role like we’ve done every summer for other people. Y’all act like Arthur Blank gave him majority ownership of the team, R-E-L-A-X

so after an investigation of his program, he was re-instated by the board of regents, and only fired after the whiners pitched a fit and the president fired him. So in spite of being cleared and reinstated by the board, some of y'all know more about it and he's a 'murderer'..... gotcha

and he's a guest coach at camp, he hasn't been added to 'the staff'. Even before having him as a guest, Quinn is quoted as saying they did their 'due diligence' but hey, y'all message board knowitalls just go ahead and run on out to Flowery Branch with your tar and feathers. Don't forget the noose and the rope to tie his hands behind his back, and the horse to lynch him from....

I find it ironic (as well as moronic) that the people that preach tolerance and acceptance are typically the first to throw stones. This whole witch hunt/McCarthyism thing we've got going on as a society these days needs to stop. While the incident was unfortunate, this man shouldn't be allowed to never coach again because of what happened especially after he was re-instated. It's really sad how people aren't really allowed an opportunity to redeem themselves anymore

Average attendance for United games is still far less than Falcons, but still best in MLS. They don't require PSLs and tickets are cheaper, but there are a LOT more games, and each game is not as "meaningful" as an NFL game.

Just because we pay to go to Falcons games, we are not less of "real fans" than those that don't or can't. I personally travel 250 miles from Northeast Tennessee for every home game (now in my 12th year!), so I think I qualify as a real fan.

Nobody is taking shots at your fandom, brother. I think you mistook the intent of the post.

  6. As an Alumni, I can say that we really didn't have players worth taking the past 10 years besides blue chip guys like Stafford, Gurley, Houston, and Green. I enjoyed my time there but never understood the blind homerism by most folks that I went to school with, the non-alums are typically (not always) the worst fans. We're not the only school in the SEC (or any other conference) that has talent. This FO will take whoever they feel will help best contribute to the team; if we take players from a local school like Georgia, that's just a bonus in my opinion.

He's overrated until he proves it in the playoffs.

His highlight reel is composed of the infamous one-handed catch and a few others here and there. That and he pulls a Casper when he’s needed the most. I’m not sold on him either
