  5. Wow, you're right..... Packers snatched him up as soon as he cleared waivers.............
  6. I don't know if this was posted already but it's a good read from Knox on our UDFAs............. "The Atlanta Falcons announced their undrafted rookie haul on Monday. The team signed 21 college free agents (rookies that were not drafted last weekend) to add to its six draft choices. All the first-year players will report to Flowery Branch in the coming weeks for rookie minicamp, but which of these undrafted players might have a shot at sticking around once the regular season begins? Here’s the list of 21: Travis Averill, C — Boise State Daniel Brunskill, OL — San Diego State Deante Burton, WR — Kansas State Reginald Davis III, WR — Texas Tech Wil Freeman, OT — Southern Mississippi Andreas Knappe, OT — Connecticut Robert Leff, OG — Auburn Josh Magee, WR — South Alabama Tyler Renew, FB — Citadel Alek Torgersen, QB — Pennsylvania Marcelis Branch, S – Robert Morris Darius English, LB — South Carolina Jarnor Jones, CB — Iowa State J’terius Jones, DE — Miami (Ohio) Cam Keizur, C — Portland State Quincy Mauger, S — Georgia Jordan Moore, S — Texas – San Antonio Chris Odom, DE — Arkansas State Taylor Reynolds, CB — James Madison Christian Tago, LB — San Jose State Deron Washington, S — Pittsburgh State Who looks intriguing in May (read: Here’s our way-too-early list of undrafted contenders for Atlanta’s roster)? Robert Leff, OG, Auburn — First and foremost, look at the position Leff was listed at by the Falcons… guard, a position of need. He played right tackle in college, so Atlanta has already switched his position. He’s better suited for the inside, anyway, as a player who could function at guard and cross-train at center. Leff was listed as the third-ranked undrafted rookie by Pro Football Focus. Daniel Brunskill, OL, San Diego State — Listen to the positions Brunskill has played since he left high school: tight end and tackle; and he was a second-team All-State selection at center. The kid has versatility and athleticism, but at 6-foot-5 and 273 pounds will need to bulk up. If he can bulk up on the practice squad, Brunskill might develop into a swing tackle. Chris Odom, DE, Arkansas State — Sure, the Falcons drafted a pass-rusher in the first round, but when have you ever heard anyone in the realm of football say their team had enough pass-rushers? Odom posted 17 1/2 tackles for loss, 12 1/2 sacks, forced four fumbles and even blocked five kicks during his senior season. According to Pro Football Focus, Odom produced some eye-popping analytics: “Odom produced 63 total quarterback pressures in 2016 that generated the sixth-best pass rush productivity among all 4-3 defensive ends (13.6) and added 24 run stops for the fourth-best run-stop percentage (8.4) in the NCAA.” Taylor Reynolds, CB, James Madison — Reynolds has a couple of things going for him. First, he’s 6-foot-1, and that kind of size is sought after by Dan Quinn for his secondary players. Next, Reynolds picked off 11 passes during his college career; finding the football and winning against receivers has been a specialty for him. Then there’s the fact that he’s athletic enough that defensive coordinator Marquand Manuel told him he’d be moving to safety and could see some time at nickel corner too. http://atlanta.cbslocal.com/2017/05/03/4-undrafted-rookies-who-could-make-a-splash-with-the-falcons/
  7. Bottom line is Shanahan gave Ryan the go to call audibles but took it away by running the plays in without enough time for him to do it........... Shanahan Sux............
  8. In like Flynn..............
  9. After this year it should be ranked higher with an improved rush attack...............
  10. Fowler looks to be a little unhinged to me......... According to Mike Kaye of First Coast News, Jaguars DE Dante Fowler has at least 10 traffic tickets dating back to December 2015. Since it was revealed he was arrested on Tuesday night for hitting a man, knocking off his glasses, stomping on the glasses, and taking the man's groceries and throwing them into a lake at an apartment complex all because the man criticized Fowler's driving, Kaye has decided to dig into local court records. It has revealed Fowler was once cited for driving 98 MPH in a 55 zone and another citation was for careless driving, causing $1,500 in property damage. Fowler could be subject to a suspension following his recent battery and criminal mischief charges. Source: Mike Kaye on Twitter Jul 19 - 2:59 PM

  12. But wait.......... There's more........... According to ESPN staff writer Vaughn McClure, Atlanta Falcons second-year tight end Austin Hooper has joined Matt Ryan for three days of workouts in order to continue the chemistry they found together last season. Ryan has praised Hooper this off-season, saying, “he’s playing like a veteran guy now,” and that he will be a big part of the team’s success moving forward. Hooper performed well down the stretch for the Falcons, and from Week 17 to the Super Bowl, recorded game grades of 82.0, 77.2, 80.5 and 80.0, the four highest grades of his season. The Falcons will be happy that the pair are continuing their progress together, as they showed chemistry last season. When targeting and Hooper, quarterback Matt Ryan posted a passer rating of 150.2, the highest rating by a quarterback when targeting a tight end.
  13. Nice post Vel.......... Football needs to start NOW..............
  14. And here is why not.......... The Dolphins have no plans to sign free agent C Nick Mangold. Miami could use insurance for Mike Pouncey (hip), but Mangold wants a starting job and more money than the Dolphins could offer. It sounds like Miami will move forward with Kraig Urbik and Anthony Steen behind Pouncey. The Ravens are Mangold's most likely landing spot. May 20 - 4:11 PM Source: Miami Herald
