I was hoping we would do better as a whole him and Vic. One tackle, there right, wasn't there normal starter, and the other tackle, there left, was working at Walgreens last week. Takk had a good game, but I expected more of a feast from both of them.

It seems like either it's mostly Sark or mostly Ryan, people saying it's Sark seem to not give Matt enough responsibility in it, and people saying is Ryan are saying his play calling was efficient. The whole unit needs to do better, O-line needs to play better, Matt missed some crucial throws, and Sark didn't call a good game. That's it, the whole thing was broke that day.

I’ve tried to explain this to you guys for years. Y’all always blame the returner. Fir starters Roberts had a return last year that was called back. Matter of fact it seems all his good returns were called back for a penalty. Second the blocking has been terrible for years. Since fair catch Franks the blocking was bad. It was bad for Hester. Not to mention punters high point the ball to give his guys time to run down the field. Just like you guys blame a RB when he gets no yards a totally disregards his blockers you do the same thing for returners. Even worse because for some reason y’all seem to think a returner doesn’t need good blocking. Y’all funny

I don’t know why people think it’s players above coaching. It’s been proven time and again that the biggest difference at the NFL level is the coaching. NFL athletes are all capable.
Which is why I continue to blame Sark.

Exactly. Every team in the leauge misses on some potential opportunities every week. However with Sark those misses are glaring as they're few and far between.

Did you listen to what he said? He said Matt missed the pass to Freeman but also said Sark called plenty of bad plays. The problem is Sark might call a good play and if we miss on that one good play he doesn't appear to follow up with anything else that leads to a high probability of success.

Matt did not play well as we expect him too but the Oline needs to step up and we need someone else calling plays in the redzone.

Where I get confused is how he blames Sark, yet you clearly see Matt miss one easy TD throw to Freeman then completely not see another potential to Sanu. Yes, the playcalling left something to be desired, but the incessant need to blame Sark for everything is getting lazy. Matt pulls those two triggers and a better throw on that bomb to Julio and this is a VERY different narrative. Because as we see from the same video, Sark got Julio plenty of space and 1v1 opportunities.

x/post from r/nfl comment made in early 2017.
"Matt Ryan's passer rating this year is 93.9. His career passer rating is 93.6. Last year it was 117
He's on pace for about 13 interceptions. He averages about 12 per season on his career. Last year he had 7.
He's on pace for 23 TDs. His career average per season is about 25.5. Last year he had 38.
His YPA is 7.93. His career YPA is 7.47. Last year it was 10.1.
He's averaging 263 yards per game. His career YPG is about 262. Last year it was 309.
None of those stats are bad. They're actually pretty **** good. Because Matt Ryan is a **** good QB.But if you want to know why he hasn't looked like he did last year, it's because last year was a MASSIVE career outlier for him. He was playing on a god tier, all time great QB level. Now he's playing like his average self.
There's nothing "wrong" with Matt Ryan. He hasn't regressed, and he's not fallen of a cliff because of his OC. He's just gone back to being Matt Ryan."
Ryan's the best Falcon QB of all-time, but let's call a spade a spade and stop expecting him to be elite. It doesn't make him any less of a franchise QB.

Sark called a game to where if I'm fasting than you, I win, I will be open. Guys weren't schemed open, the defense wasn't shown one thing only to do something else, he didn't throw the defense off balance, didn't take advantage of tendencies or weaknesses... He is an NFL OC, I just expect more I guess, more than a game where it's just up to the players and I athlete you and that's it. Julio had almost half of the offense for a reason, conceptually we didn't take advantage of what they were doing!

    1. We were getting bullied up front, pressure all day long, barely could set up screen plays. We didn't execute well and the timing was off all game. Because of that I can't put this ALL on Matt as far as offensively.
    2.  I remember a video highlighting how Sark called the playoff game. No plays really taking advantage of how Philly plays largely. It highlighted no pick plays, no rub route concepts, no double moves to take advantage of the defenses aggressiveness. I remember one pick play in the endzone with Hoop where he ran into the defender and Julio's double move, other than that I didn't good play calling. Sark doesn't call plays to where defenses are off balance. He's not going to throw something at them to where they are on there hills, he's not setting up plays to draw them out of position for the next play. He doesn't take advantage of the defense's tendencies or weaknesses. When everyone knows there's a screen coming, he calls a screen, when it's obvious we are taking a shot, he takes it. It's bland and obvious, always been my problem. He doesn't set plays up, it's like instead of him playing chess, he's playing checkers. Either the offense gets the defense off balance or the other way around. That's how the game flows. If the defense is not off balance, the offense will be. Just being real in my opinion about things, not trying to bash the guy.

But I agree with this, it was winnable and Matt didn't play well. Still don't see him doing an adequate job

Realistically, there was nobody else open.   As much as Boy Wonder can go play in traffic, I must say he was great at scheming receivers open.  The screen to Coleman was the only creative play I saw, and even that was moderately sniffed out.  O Line still looks overmatched, and our OC still looks like a deer in headlights.  There were no positives to take away from this game offensively.

Round 1: Elgton Jenkins OC Mississippi State- The successor to Alex Mack that we need. Either at guard or center he's legit. Levitre is likely gone.

Round 2: Chase Winovich DE Michigan- Outstanding motor and the position needs more depth.

Round 3: Alex Bars OG Notre Dame- Levitre likely gone and Mack near the end of his career, we will likely need a starter at LG going forward as well.

Round 4: Jauan Jennings WR Tennessee- bigger body wide out with long speed, the way the NFL is going we will need to load up on speed on the back end of the draft when considering special teams.

Round 5: Greg Gaines DT Washington- depth at DT, specifically the 1 position.

Round 6: Michael Jackson CB Miami- more speed on special teams and depth at corner. Parker on a one year deal, and Blidi Rey is practice squad IMO.

Round 7: Kareem Orr CB Chattanooga- Depth at corner, speed on special teams
