  1. That was a tough loss against that Colts team, I’ll admit. But, this is the NFL, not college. So, some of you UGA/SEC lovers need to stop putting those collegiate expectations on a team in a league where everyone is exceptional. I want my team to win every game and I would find it hard pressed for anyone to look at a schedule, predict what games we will lose, and what fashion we would lose them in; losses will happen in the NFL and they are never pretty. If you’re a Falcons fan you should know how to deal with them by now. We’re 1-2, and the odds are not insurmountable. Just hope that our team stays healthy going forward. I actually like all the adversity our team is dealing with; the talent is there for a playoff run but I’ve always questioned this team mentally. This should help chisel them and make them stronger. A lot of you guys always question our staff/coaching after losing a game. After a tough victory against the Titans you guys will hopefully go back to normal. SEE YOU THIS SUNDAY!!!
  2. Weaknesses are always magnified after a loss; It is what it is. Give the opposing team credit, we came out slow and they maximized the opportunity. On to the next game. Also, that UGA comment was not a slight to them but you’re free to interpret whatever you want however on the internet.
  3. Neal came up to stop the short completion and the ball was sailing over his head.
  4. Yeah my dude can’t put any weight on his leg... He’ll be out at least 5 weeks.
  5. The way this board reacts after a loss EARLY in the season is really remarkable lol it’s like they don’t understand that coaches make adjustments and changes all offseason and the first game doesn’t really determine anything.
  6. Mannnnn they were rusty and it showed. It will take a couple of weeks for our defense to get back in sync; If I had to guess it would be about 6. We will definitely be a top unit in the NFL but our 2-3 levels definitely has to get it together. That’s what happens when your starting lineup is a circus on those levels for most of last year.
  7. You’re being way too generous, Quinn has established a real defensive identity as of now and in my opinion it won’t take two years more like two more games. We gotta see what teams are doing different and adjust but Quinn will have our defense top notch.
  8. I stand by that too but not in the way of only stats but players who can consistently make plays on all 3 levels and of course over the term of a full season.
  9. He better show it the next game because I’ve just about given up on him.
  10. We gotta put our heart and soul into this game. I’m freaking serious.
  11. Still have high hopes for the Falcons but even I didn’t expect the Vikings offense to look this good. Falcons have had the prettiest off season ever with people getting paid and them barely showing up right now. They need to flip the switch the second half and show that they belong because they look like over paid pretty boys on both sides.
  12. Games aren’t won in the first quarter folks. Keep rising up.
  13. It’s going to happen this year... We will meet the Patriots in the Super Bowl. With two weeks to prepare I just pray to God that our defensive line will be ready to wreck havoc, because they will have to.
  14. Yeah bruh I was scrambling to find a quote; Straight nightmare fuel.
  15. I disagree with you about Takk... He is about to have a big year; He will establish himself as a top 10 pass rusher by the playoffs.
  16. I actually thought he was the best pure pass rusher in the draft. I wanted to pick him up badly in the draft but if dude doesn’t have the competitive nature needed to succeed in the NFL then we can pass but our locker room environment does good for players like him.
  17. That’s when he pretty much developed.
  18. This would be a good trade and I’ll tell you why. Sanu is a good 2-3 option, I like having him on our squad because of his solid hands; He makes great catches in traffic. But as far as receiving options, we have Julio, Ridley and Hooper as well. I’ve always wanted Hooper to develop into a top-tier TE but he can’t do that with so many options/opportunities going to other targets. He has a pretty big ceiling but he’s been the bottom of the barrel when it comes to targets and I would like to have him involved more in our offense. Who’s targets would we have to cut into? Well if we trade Sanu then it would make the decision a lot easier. We could also give Ridley some more targets as well (I think Ridley could be another Marvin Harrison when he gets comfortable catching the ball). Clowney on our defense will instantly make us top-5 and my goodness offenses will have freaking nightmares scheming against us and Quinn will instantly figure out how to utilize him. Clowney, Takk, Beasley, and Grady? We are talking about a D-line that would be in the history books and if they make this trade then I would just about guarantee that we win the Super Bowl.
  19. Let Vic go next season and use additional cap to sign Clowney.
  20. People do not know how to measure a great coach. Quinn will be back for next year and beyond.
  21. Is there any one else in here that feels that it will be our defense(along with the run game to a degree) that will factor the most into us winning the Super Bowl? The media pundants love to talk offense all day long; It sells tickets and apparently sells audiences that these analysts know what they’re talking about. Chiefs, Aints, Aaron Rodgers, Cowboys, even the freakin Browns have gotten in on the media offensive circus. Falcons are spoken about as well but everyone is hesitant to take Matty Ice’s side. But, our defense, if our D-line takes it up a notch, could be one of the best in recent history. That’s what it will take, because as much as I love our skill players our O-line will struggle against playoff scheming and defense. I honestly will have a hard time trusting this squad UNLESS the defense is top-5 which in my opinion is a very reasonable expectation. Turnovers, sacks etc. The regular season can’t get here fast enough. The offense focus has been a smoke screen for what our defense will do this year; we should definitely be imposing wills 2019-20 and beyond...
  22. Top 5 doesn’t mean top 5 in both categories...At least that’s not what I meant. I’m talking a cumulative top 5 overall defense. Isn’t tied to into stats just a overall feared defense.
  23. Matt Ryan will have to compensate for lack of solidness on the right side with 2 rookies. Running the ball will be extremely important this year.
  24. Man this is close to exactly what I’m saying. Basically the deficiency in those types of teams is lack of a passing game but they force the run to control the tempo of the game because of it. I don’t know about 20 but a 15-10 rated offense will get the job done with a top-5 defense. In other words Matt does not need to be a world beater to get a ring.
  25. With a top-5 defense a Super Bowl is certain. As a matter of fact if we go into the playoffs with a top-5 defense I promise we will win the Super Bowl.
