  1. You people worry to much Oliver is no worries if highly doubt if he wasnt ready that Quinn would have he as a starter. I trust Quinn and i think yall need to start trusting him more too. I havent seen nothing to have concerns about him in preseason he got beat twice on a back shoulder throw which is a impossible play to stop and a throw that was right on the money he had perfect position. When we drafted him people were so excited now he his obvious proven to Quinn that he can start and now yall scared smh it's crazy.

Better be. That defense looks like a bunch of things just thrown together. Not a fan.

How so??? It's the same defense that was rank 8th in 2017 minus Alford and Poe. Imagine the ravens who had the number 1 defense last year had no CJ Mosley, Weddle and Suggs. Do you think they finish number 1?? Well thats how i defense was last year without 2 of our QBs on defense in Rico and Deion and our enforcer in Neal. I guarantee our defense will be top 15

Is this a concern for anyone else besides me?

I didn't know what his grade was last year after the injury but I know he didn't pass the eyeball test (not looking like himself) but here are the stats....

I just hope with a full off-season, all our injured players come back fearless and ready to play.... and not like trufant (afraid to go all out).

Not worried at all he havent played in 3 months who not going to be rusty.

  4. The return of Neal, Deion and Rico is going to be so huge that's why i wasnt worried when we didnt do that much on defense doing the off-season. When healthy we are a top 14 defense, these 3 make everybody better when they are healthy. People seem to forget we were ranked 8th in defense in 2017 we got the same players besides Alford and Poe

I trust Pauline more than any other source on Falcons draft.  The fact they would consider CB in the 1st is odd.  Must mean they aren’t sold on Oliver at all.  A boundary corner is a need next year once Tru is cut, but not this year IMO

If our biggest need is DT, and the best value at 14 is DT, WTF would they trade back for a CB

    When 1 + 1 = 3

No Quinn loves Oliver it's Tru they don't feel comfortable with plus they most likely gone cut him next year

Here's the thing. We're not replacing 3 spots with quality OL in one offseason. That's not to say it hasn't happened before but that it's rare and lucky.

So I'm personally preparing myself for 2 spots to be resolved with quality OL (1 free agent and 1 draftee)

Next, I understand that one of these 3 will be starting on the OL next year --- Sambrailo, Schraeder, or Fusco

Finally, I am hoping that with the above understood we still draft a future years replacement to one of those 3 for the 2020 season.

If we do the above, then to me that does 3 things:

    1. Opens up an opportunity to get one of these top DTs in the draft

    2. Allows us to be financially responsible and still resolve 2 major holes

    3. Sets us up for future success depending on the talent and development of the backup draftee

I agree i think we draft a LG that can play beside Mack and Matthews. Then sign a RT in FA and we are going to keep Wes or Fusco at RG.

No his players choked in the @ARI and SF playoff games:

    • @ARI - Ryan threw a bad pick. Milloy got beat deep. Dahl got blown up which led to a FF for a TD and Brooking went 3rd and 16 on him
    • SF - Roddy had a slip pick, Ryan had a whiff fumble, Ryan locked on Roddy when TonyG was open for a game winning TD and Dougle tripped over a hash mark and fell down

Player execution kept Smitty from going 3-2 in the postseason with a Super Bowl appearance. He had two top 10 scoring defenses and four top 10 scoring offenses over his seven year tenure.

I can tell from your responding you was a big Mike Smith fan which i dont get Smith was a weak coach and we always use to get punked under Quinn i never seen us get punked

I don't really have a problem with Quinn. I just believe if he wets the bed again next year, let's say 8-8, and misses the playoffs, Blank will be done. That would put him at 44-36 (.550) with 3 out of 5 non-winning seasons and no playoff berth.

Like i said it depends on how the season goes if Mike Smith got 6 years why cant Quinn get his? Matter of fact Mike Smith was here for 7 years, so you mean to tell me you wouldn't give Quinn that chance? Who you know is a better coach and has showed he doesn't fold in big games til this past year with so many injuries? We fired him and we starting ALL THE WAY OVER AGAIN and that's why we can't have a successful franchise we got the right coach.

If he misses the playoffs for a second straight time I believe he is gone. Especially if he exhibits some of the bone headed rookie coaching mistakes he made in the past in time management, situational calls and in game adjustments.

I dont see it i really dont he would have to really lose the team and have a 6-10 record or worse to get fired. The players love him and they will go to war for him idk what's your problem with him but whatever it is it's petty before Quinn we had mike smith with 1 playoff win in 6 years, here we got Quinn who got 3 in 3 years like i said he here to stay unless he just has a horrible season and loses the team he got aleast 2 seasons.

Buddy better get to the playoffs and win at least one. Anything less and his seat could really get hot with three non winning seasons in five tears. Especially with roster power. He better not only handle the defense, but the roster and the HC duties.

If they fired Quinn i will be heated Quinn the best coach we had in awhile. Like i said before he took over a 4-12 team and lead them to .500 at 8-8 the next season took us to the super bowl and the year after that took us to the playoffs beat the Rams in their house and should've beat the eagles if it wasnt for bad offensive playcalling. I really believe we would've made it to the super bowl that year too if it was for the poor offensive playcalling, Quinn had our defense playing at a top 5 level that year. Last year was full of injuries and it wasnt like teams were beating us bad we was close in alot of games that 7-9 could had easily been 10-6 EASILY im just tired of fans always trying to fire a coach i love Quinn and hope he here for a long time.

Oliver still scares the crap out of me. Small but highly athletic sounds good until he's getting steamrolled. Having two under sized DTs is a bit uneasy. Donald is smaller but he's got Suh/Brockers next to him.

You talking like Donald wasnt dominating before Suh got there he been putting up number since he got in the league.

  12. Dont like it i say we get Cody Ford, he can start from Day 1 at RT or G and be a force he got that nastiness that Quinn was talking about. I know drafting an OL isn't exciting but it's the right move, our OL was bad outside of Mack and Matthews add Ford and it upgrade our offense. I dont think Oliver is even gone to last he is going in the top 10 easily plus i really like Senat think he going to have a big improvement from his rookie year.

Imo, I don't think Quinn can afford to bring in someone that would institute a new offense.  It is a make or break year for him and the only way to get maximum potential out of the offense, in a transition year, is to bring in someone who runs a scheme Ryan and others are already familiar with.

If this is their thinking, the options are limited at best.

STOP IT! Quinn is not on the hot seat he took a team that was 4-12 and came in his first year and brought us to 8-8. He took us to the playoffs two straight years after playing in the super bowl in one of them years. Last year we got hit with the injury bug we had hellva injuries to key players. Quinn is a great coach and i hope he's here for a long time 1 bad season and everybody tripping but dont want to take in affect we wasnt healthy and we was still competing we only got blew out like 2 games

  14. Its so funny people forget we are 29th in the league in rushing. We have one good game rushing and now all of a sudden we dont need Freeman who when healthy is a top 4 RB. Our two biggest losses were against the Eagles on opening day on ring night and the Steelers who have won 6 straight and just beat the Panthers 52- 21 the two games Freeman played he also avg 4.5 per carry. I just hate some of our fans its just sad how they just come up with this dumb *** threads

Can't believe how many TATFers are throwing dirt on Free. Flat out disrespectful. Gotta be Madden speed boys.

They disrespectful and they bipolar fans when healthy Freeman is a Top 3 RB if healthy this offense would be even more dangerous. Now watch next if Coleman has a bad game and miss some blocks they gone be trashing him and saying how we need to draft another RB or how we need Freeman our fans are bipolar thats why i cant talk to most of them
