  1. Sui_Generis liked a post in a topic by TheDirtyWordII in PFT: Is Matt Ryan A Hall Of Famer?
I would say my needle in the last 12 months has moved in the direction of HOF for Ryan based on career trajectory, but certainly more work to do.  In fact, I pondered this last off-season and it generated a lively debate.   But his 2018 season was a significant move in the right direction.
    1) First off...if his career ended today, it's an absolute no.  Just doesn't have the legacy to warrant it.
    2) Trajectory wise though...different story, and what was interesting about the video and Florio's eval was the limitation in his line of site.
    a) He talked about Ryan at 34 and projected out 4 years of production taking him thru his Age 37 season. at 4000 yards/season.  This ignores the fact that over the last 7 years, Ryan has averaged 4642 yards per.  So extrapolate the shortage of his calculation over 4 seasons, and that's 2568 yards.  Is that alot?  No, but it does represent about a half season of production...meaning about 16%.  And in the all-time stats game for QB's, it's not an insignificant total.
b.) Let's just say that Ryan regresses to 4500 yards/season over the next 4.  That still would put him a shade under 65K for his career.
Three QB's drafted 4 years prior to Ryan (Big Ben, Eli, Rivers) have 56K, 56K, 55K in career yards right now...which would represent the delta in the length of career that exists between the QB's drafted in 2004 and Ryan.  Each is entering either their Age 37 or Age 38 season.  The fact that Ryan has essentially a 2 year 'trajectory' lead on these QB's all in the Top 10 yardage wise is something you're not seeing the talking heads discuss.  Florio seemed to be operating from a position of #6 all-time would be his ceiling...when in reality it's likely his floor.
Ultimately, the underappreciated aspect of Ryan's career has been his durability.  It's not just that he plays every game, but he's rarely on the injury report.  At 34, he feels like a young 34.  Now assuming good health is always risky...but assuming the next 4 years plays out like stated - he'll be Top 5 in Passing Yards and using the same 7 year average on Passing TD's (29)...he'd be at 411 which would likely place him 9th (I'd have him pass Eli, but Big Ben and Rivers look like they could each do another 60-70)...but he'd likely have #6 all-time in his sites.
So I think we just need to be patient...Ryan is more the tortoise in this story than the hare.  But if the Ryan that's shown up the last 7 years gives us another 4...I think you'll hear alot of 'how can you keep him out?' talk...

If Beasley remains the same old Beasley and Takk has another season like 2018, I would hope Shede gets to eat up a lot of their snaps. If you don't put up numbers, you shouldn't be spending much time on the field with the depth we have now.

Vic is no where near Cam Jordan.  I hate the Saints as much as the next fan, but that guy is a complete end. The type I want the Falcons to hopefully find.

Todd McClure. Undersized in stature as a center, but not in heart. Bled red and black and still does to this day. Had to love Mud Duck.

Those that say that are lazy in assesment. Takes the whole team. Oline, RB, coordinator, and a team, dedicated to the run. Lets also not forget a defense that makes running the ball all the more potent.
    A bad *** defense...usually leads to a tough bad *** run game.
