  1. Per @JDaveG Cap and salary -- who took what? So I keep seeing these posts about "the Titans took all Julio's cap hit" and "the Titans took his dead money" and all that. Then there are the others that suggest we only clear enough to sign our rookies, which is driving into the other ditch. Here's how the cap breakdown works and who pays what. Julio is owed currently: Pro-rated signing bonus -- $23.25 million Guaranteed salary -- $17.30 million Falcons pay: 2021 prorated signing bonus -- $7.75 million 2022 prorated signing bonus - $15.5 million This is because you cannot trade the signing bonus. The Falcons paid it already, but get to prorate it over the life of the contract. This means they take a dead cap hit for each year of the contract in the amount of $7.75 million (total prorated bonus was $41,333,334.00). Since it was a post-June 1 trade, we get to take only this year's dead cap hit for 2021, and the rest hits in 2022. The other thing is, people are confused about whether the $7.75 million counts against our cap this season and takes away from the cap relief we get from the trade. The answer is yes, it counts, but no, it doesn't affect the cap hit, because it was already accounted for in Julio's cap hit for 2021. So yes, we pay the dead cap number, but that was already on the books. What the Titans pay for 2021 is all cap relief to us. The real hit to us comes next season when the rest of his prorated signing bonus is accelerated and hits the cap in 2022. Titans pay: Basically just Julio's salary, which for this season is $15,300,000.00, and $11,513,000 the next two seasons. Which is a cheap contract and why this is a good deal for him. They don't have to pay his bonus (and as noted, they cannot), so they get Julio Jones for a pretty good deal (assuming they don't extend him or convert salary to bonus). This means this season we get $15.3 million in cap relief, since Julio's number was counted against our cap until he was traded.
  2. I Just came this article. Haven’t seen it posted but they are really trying stir the pot. Thoughts? https://t.co/TmsUtSl2W0 “I’ve got some little birdies who have been talking to me. One, the reason Julio Jones is on the trade market, his relationship with the Falcons is terrible, it is bad right now… [the other reason] he [Julio] wants to play with Cam Newton… he [Julio] thinks Matt Ryanhas lost a little zing on his deep ball.”
  3. Lmao dude i will never forget the days of james stone and your being done here. Lol literally made thread about leaving.
  4. He was doing it last year and this year. Maybe its scheme
  5. The safety we drafted in the 3rd round of 2013 or 2014. Everyone kept comparing him to richard Sherman because his measurements. Ill link some of the threads
  6. I hate when players are compared to greats or popular players because of physical traits and size. Like when everyone was comparing Desmond Southward to Richard Sherman lol
  7. That goes into the "protecting the team manta". If Riley had done his job, kazee would not be concussed.

  9. Woah calm down my man. You sound very hurt. As someone who PLAYED ball and understands football at its very core. The playcalling Definately changed. It had to considering freeman was out. Definately more stretch runs and tosses (to be simple) which is the very foundation of this offense. Idk why people get ao worked up about another person's opinion. Especially when it has substance and truth behind it.
  10. I firmly believe the loss of Freeman caused Sark to simplify his play calling, or at least made him dumb it down. Adding freeman back might cause an inbalance in snaps and playcalling. I love Free but for Sark's sake I hope the momentum continues.
  11. I feel like we have been more explosive without Freeman. My theories are that Sarkesian was overthinking and trying to be methodical with both RBs. But with freeman out, he's been able to be more relaxed with play calls and less worried aboutbsnap countsbans touches. Also Coleman doesnt need toiches to "warm up" because he's in the game from the start.
  12. With us losing games that we should have won vs MIA, BUF & CAR. We are goinf to have to win somes games that are not in our favor.
  13. If the kicker came up short, they were not on field goal range sir. Field goal range is subjective upon that team's kicker. Blair Walsh was NOT making that
  14. Im a broke college Senior who's been a die hard falcons fan since I can remember. I've been supporting them through it all, even in the midst of all the banwagon rah rah here at West Georgia. Also, I graduate this Decmber so that would be an incredible graduation gift for all the pain and suffering from studying Biology over the past 5 years lol. I would LOVE to go and see the new stadium and suprise my fiencè or my dad with a trip to the game. And I would DEFINATELY get you that jacket and those pins sir!
  15. We had several negated buy dumb penalties that wouldn't have even affected the play
  16. Even if it was a fumble recovery OR a pick, im pretty sure he was touched down.
