  1. https://www.profootballfocus.com/blog/2016/04/30/draft-2016-nfl-draft-grades-for-all-32-teams/ I actually didn't mind our first round pick. I wish we could have traded down and got Neal later, but that's a small complaint considering we didn't have any offers to trade down. I also like the Hooper pick. I am a little worried about our second round pick Jones though. It's hard to grade a draft before any of the players actually see the field, so I am not going to criticize PFF or any other website grading the draft, as it's all conjecture at this point.
  2. The announcers mentioned this during the game, and I agree. I think when the other team knows there is about a 90% chance the ball is either going to Freeman or Julio, we become predictable. Maybe i'm wrong, but I think with Julio drawing double and triple teams, our other guys should be able to get open. Couple this with all the bootleg pass plays that Ryan doesn't seem comfortable with, our offense has greatly under performed. Obviously Matt Ryan isn't in the same class as the other top quarterbacks, but guys like Brady and Brees were always able to shred defenses by spreading the ball around. The fact that we have someone like Julio drawing all the attention of the opposing defense should make that even easier, but for us it has been the opposite.
  3. The fact that Asamoah is still not being considered for a starting position is infuriating.
  4. Thanks everyone for commenting on this video. I don't watch a lot of college football so I didn't see this game. And yeah, the video made it seem like Collins had a bad game, but it doesn't seem like that was the case at all.
  5. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=94RNWpmncaM What do you guys think of this? Collins may be raw right now, but if anyone can work with him it would be Quinn. I don't think I'm that worried.
  6. If you told me that our 8th pick would be as good as Osi I would be fine with that. He was a boarderline great player for quite a while.
  7. To me, it looked like Kroy picked it up near the end of the season. Not to say he's good, but he played ok.
  8. And then we go out and sign someone crappy like Ray Edwards and give them a bunch of money.
  9. Spending big $$$ on free agents backfires much more often than it works out. It's probably a good thing that we are being cautious and not signing a bunch of high priced free agents.
  10. If we would have actually let him play this past season, we might be able to say, but as it is, we don't know. Horrible job by the Smith administration.
  11. The draft is going to present us with a lot of tough choices. On the one hand we need help at nearly every defensive position. On the other hand, playing with Toilolo as your starting TE is almost like having only 10 players on offense. Personally, if a guy like Maxx Williams slides to the second round I am going to take him and use every other pick to fix the defense.
  12. I doubt we can afford to sigh Suh and Jones to 100 million dollar contracts.
  13. http://www.whatifsports.com/nfl/default.asp#top Here's a website where you can input any two teams from any year and it will simulate the game for you. According to this our 1998 team is better than our 2012 team. If you simulate the game the 1998 team will win almost every time.
  14. http://profootballtalk.nbcsports.com/2015/01/26/brent-grimess-wife-goes-off-on-the-nfl/ Who has the worst wife, Bierman or Grimes? I feel bad for them.
  15. I think we can do it. We really need a DE, TE, and 2 LBs. If we can get that, I say we finish with a winning record.
  16. They were worse than the 2014 defense? I would love to see that.
  17. The only bad part of our defense was Michael Booker. He was horrible. We had a dominant D line, great linebackers, and a pretty good secondary.
  18. http://www.aol.com/article/2015/01/21/nfl-power-rankings-30-most-dominant-teams-all-time/21133090/ 20.) 1998 Atlanta Falcons The “Dirty Birds.” Goodness, where has the time gone? Led by Chris Chandler and Jamal Anderson, the ’98 Falcons went a franchise best 14-2 while talking more than enough trash on the field and also finding trouble off of the field. (They had a player arrested the night before the Super Bowl for soliciting a prostitute.) If this team won the Super Bowl over John Elway and the Denver Broncos, they could possibly take the top spot for the coolest team of all time – at least, in my books. After suffering their second loss of the season to the New York Jets, 28-3 in Week 8, the Dirty Birds ripped 10 in a row leading into the Super Bowl, notching both playoff wins by a combined five points. While the offense handled their business on the field, the veteran defense led by Jessie Tuggle and Keith Brooking handled the other half of the job. The Falcons ranked in fourth in points allowed, eighth in yards allowed and had the second-best rushing defense in the NFL.
  19. Honest question: Why does the NFL have it set up so the teams have control over the footballs before the game and during the game? If the refs held all the balls that were going to be used in the actual game, wouldn't that make it impossible for teams to tamper with them?
  20. I'm just remembering how sick our run game was back in our zone blocking days with Vick and Warrick Dunn. So awesome...
