The implication is that there is a vast global conspiracy wherein the millions of homosexuals who claim to be born that way are all lying. Carson might be a brilliant surgeon, but he's a ******* moron.

It was a moral toilet when slavery was regarded as a necessary economic tool and women didn't have any recourse for being raped and battered once they were married. It's really started to come around in the last few decades.

Doing some surf-n-turf with the ol' girl tonight for Valentine's.
    - small filet mignon w/ gorgonzola sauce
    - lobster (we're splitting a 3-pounder; I named him Larry and my dogs don't like him)
    - steamed clams w/ white wine and garlic as an appetizer
I've never done a live lobster myself, nor have I ever cooked clams. Should be fun, though I'm generally intimidated by cooking seafood.
Sent the woman to the seafood spot to get the clams and some crab meat (we had crab cakes for lunch). Told her to get some small clams or some mussels, and she comes back with these gigantic Cherrystones. Half of what I'm reading online says they're tough and only good for chowder, but I think I can make it work.
Also went nuts at the liquor store. Got a few bottles of champagne and some creme de Cassis (currant liquer) to make Kir Royale. She dragged me to Epcot when I was down in Orlando for business last month and we drank the **** out these in the France section and have been craving them ever since.
Got some cheap Spanish reds and brandy to make sangria last night and more tonight of course. Got a Pinot Gris to pair with the seafood and a Malbec for the steaks.
And then I got some Disaronno to top off Mimosas and get tipsy at brunch tomorrow. Hoping I can talk the woman into making me eggs Benedict in the morning, because she makes the world's finest Hollandaise. Have to bribe her with the D, I suppose.
Yes, I know, this is all a very cool story. You're welcome.

Edge of Tomorrow was insanely cool, right up until the stupid ending. Other than that, I think that's the best action movie I have seen in nearly a decade.

Sounds like a cool chick. My advice, if you want to be real classy, is to buy the clams and talk about them constantly and make sure to eat them very provocatively and slowly. Just trust me.

Patriot Act Idea Rises in France, and Is RidiculedI know we love to mock the French as cheese-eating surrender monkeys, but honestly they've handled this thing a lot more bravely than most Americans would. This was Paris the night of the attacks:

Compare that to the Boston Marathon bombing, with everyone cowering in their homes and letting SWAT teams search door-to-door.

It's crazy that a statement as simple as "not all Muslims are extremists" has led to 20+ pages of argument.

So you think physical size is in any way related to what he meant when he said "largest country in the world that is majority Muslim"?So, I guess you didn't learn about context clues in third grade. I'm guessing this headline enrages you:

Indeed. As a 'defense' for their bigoted view, they're now comparing Muslims to Nazis. I'd say I'm appalled, but I'm not. They're bigots. That's what they do.
