Atlanta Falcons: Wide receiver Michael Calvin waived FLOWERY BRANCH — Wide receiver Michael Calvin, an undrafted rookie free agent from California, was waived today by the Falcons. The team reached an injury settlement with Calvin, who had a leg injury. The roster is now at 89 players, one below the league maximum for training camp. I literally just ran into Mr. Kerry Meier at Tech Square. He asked me how I liked Georgia Tech and if I knew who Kevin Cone was. He thinks Kevin Cone pretty much has the 5th wideout spot, but he's unsure about the 6th spot. He said Kevin is a really good guy and everybody likes his character. I asked him about James Rodgers and he said that he thinks it's a good possibility he can step up and grab the 6th spot especially because of his return skills. He said everybody likes Dirk Koetter and that he simplifies everything and makes it easier to let loose. He said he really REALLY loves the org
