  1. Yep I’m sure their GM and coach get together to post on the teams official account lol
  2. Again I just don’t see the need to trade up that high to get a higher defensive prospect. What if 7/10 of top ten are QBs and OTs?
  3. And maybe they're right. On our offense, I would agree. We just have a lot of high priced players on the books and the way that stays viable is by having a constant influx of rookies from the draft each year basically for free. I see the need for an influx of drafted talent at multiple positions. But I'll hold off on judging until I see their plan laid out. It might not always work, but I'll give it to TD that he at least has a plan he sees through.
  4. Generally I agree with you. But I feel like you have to look at team needs as a whole. If we give up a 2nd and a 3rd to move up, you're likely giving up at least 1 additional starter and 1 contributor on defense where we desperately need help. Unless he is a consensus game-changer prospect you are giving up significant compensation for, it doesn't make sense to me.
  5. Again stupid stupid if we give up our 2nd round pick to move up for Henderson. In this scenario we could grab Chaisson and Winfield/Delpit for the same as Henderson. Or trade down 8-10 picks and grab someone like Murray, Queen, Johnson.
  6. Again, getting on board with the player vs getting on board with giving up significant compensation and missing out on additional defensive help for a prospect are two different things.
  7. 40 replies to this 3 threads down.
  8. Seems like literally every team announcing that they are open to moving down in the draft to accumulate picks, and for some reason we want to move up with all our defensive needs. If we give up our 2nd or a high pick next year I'll be upset. We know Burrow, Tua, and Herbert will go in the top 10. Young, Okudah, Simmons, Brown, Kinlaw, Bekton, Wills, Wirfs, Jeudy, Lamb, Ruggs. That's 15 picks right there. If Henderson does go before our pick, one of those 15 are falling and I'd take them. Stand still or move back, give us another pick and grab someone like Murray, Chaisson, or Winfield.
  9. Then trade down 10 spots and take your pick of the safety class or 2nd tier of CBs, and pick up another 2nd round pick. Lets you go the other direction in the 2nd round and still have a 2nd rounder for a LB or DT.
  10. Didn't say second round picks - I said our second picks. Missing on Collins, Hageman, and Riley has hurt us recently. Out of that entire group I listed only Debo and Alford have panned out. I don't put Oliver in either category yet, too soon to tell.
  11. Yep. Our 2nd picks from 2010-2018: Isaiah Oliver, Duke Riley, Deion Jones, Jalen Collins, Ra’Shede Hageman, Robert Alford, Lamar Holmes, Akeem Dent, Corey Peters. All defensive picks outside Holmes too. If Riley, Collins, and Hageman has worked out we’d be having a different conversation right now. Starter at each level of the defense.
  12. Yeah I was talking about this in another thread - outside of Debo, we’ve really whiffed on our second picks in the draft in the last several years. Has hurt us.
  13. I don’t know if another safety besides McKinney goes in the 1st round. Feel like Winfield, Chinn, and Delpit all go round 2. Dugger and Davis 2-3. If we want a safety first, we should trade down to the end of the round.
  14. Hope he can come back healthy and ready this season. I love him as a #2, far more than Hill.
  15. Can’t see how we draft a higher end RB with Gurley, Ito, and Hill now getting $2 mil. Not worth it in my opinion but it allows us to go harder on defense I guess. I would’ve let him walk
  16. I disagree with him on the offensive side of the ball. I don’t see a ton of needs for starters or depth. On defense, I agree with him. Outside of Debo, Jarrett, and now Fowler, the rest are JAGs. Not saying others can’t contribute, but no one else you gameplan for. All of our guys that could’ve added to those 3 leading the defense didn’t/haven’t pan(ned) out, got hurt or are gone - Beasley, Neal, Takk, Tru, Riley. Will add Oliver to that if he doesn’t step up this season. In the last 6 drafts, the only 2nd round pick worth a dam has been Debo. Right now 2017 is looking like a garbage
  17. The Leggy 100: Ranking the top 2020 NFL draft prospects JEFF LEGWOLDESPN Senior Writer6:30 AM ET34 Minute Read Joe Burrow, Chase Young and Isaiah Simmons are among the top prospects in the 2020 NFL draft.ESPN.com Illustration For the past three decades, I've made thousands of calls to hundreds of scouts, coaches and personnel executives before the NFL draft. I've chased down game video on prospects, crunched numbers, made charts and tried to organize handwritten notes. The best part comes after conversations about the best scheme fit and d
  18. Want defense or bust but if he was the best available, I’d take it. More likely is someone calls us wanting Ruggs and we grab our extra 2nd.
  19. If we trade back 10 picks, I’m down. These are the top 15 picks to me in no order: Tua, Burrow, Herbert, Young, Okudah, Simmons, Brown, Becton, Wirfs, Wills, Thomas, Jeudy, Lamb, Ruggs, Kinlaw. Would leave us with Henderson, Murray, Chaisson or likely one of the top 15 as I’m sure there will be a prospect or three we aren’t talking about that will surprise if we stay at 16. Hope we play it smart.

I always enjoyed listening to this annually with Mayock and I think DJ does a good job as his replacement.
  21. Agreed. I don’t post all the rumors and videos because I believe them all, I just appreciate content to read and talk about in a down sports time. All the interviews he does on podcasts are great.
  22. Let it be so. Everyone has definitely taken the bait if it ends up being a smokescreen. Just don't see how it makes sense for us. Definitely small potatoes in the long run, but I've been looking forward to the draft to have some sports fun for a while now. Knowing my luck, TD will trade away our draft picks 30 min into Thursday for one guy and our draft will be done lol.
  23. I don't disagree with him though - why I hate the idea of trading up.
