love how people are pointing out Julio being on the hands team and didn't go for the ball. even though Sharrod Neasman, Jaeden Graham, Hayden Hurst and Olamide Zaccheaus literally formed a circle jerk around it. one of them SHOULD have gotten it first. this boils down to bad coaching. even in pee wee football, you are taught to jump on the ball during an onside kick if you are receiving.

Adding insult to injury, we took a timeout prior to the onside kick to get ready for it and they all STILL just stood there like deer in headlights.

  2. Looking at our roster post-draft and looking at positional depth, I have about 44 guys I see as relative locks to make the roster as follows. Would leave 11 open spots per the new 55 roster limit rule. Where do you see our biggest needs?

WR depth and TE depth not that great, LB depth still an issue, could use another edge rusher.

This is AWFUL! We will have 4/5 starters wanting new contracts, all in the same year (that being 2023). The entire unit can be blown up due to cap casualties in 2023.

Lol you see that half empty glass huh. Don’t worry about contracts, TD does that well.

  4. I love what TD and co have done with our offensive line over the last two drafts. After drafting Hennessy, Falcons offensive line looking like it’s set up to gel with few changes for years. Young players that will grow together.

    Matthews (28) - Under contract through 2023

    Hennessy (22) - Under contract through 2023

Lindstrom (23) - Under contract through 2023 (5th year option)

McGary (25) - Under contract through 2023 (5th year option)

Gono (24) - Year to year and an RFA for now

Mack (33) - Year to year until he decides to retire or Hennessy takes over.

Love it and sets us up really well building our team moving forward.

  5. I need to get my mind right for tonight because I am so against this.

We got lucky with Julio, this doesn't usually work. Giving up a 3rd/4th to grab Brown or Simmons or Kinlaw if they slide enough I can get behind, but trading a couple of farms or proven guys on our team for a guy who is by no means the prospect of the decade is asinine. If Young crushes his rookie year and gives us 10 sacks, still not worth it.

I couldn't argue with anyone that says we need TE depth, RB depth, a backup C, a rookie WR to groom, DT, DE, CB or 2, S. You blow all that up and force yourself to get a bunch of 1 year deals in the vet market for the next two years by doing this.

We have an offense ready to go this season and some foundation pieces on the defense. Get us a defensive starter at 16 and 47 and build our depth where we need it. Get us two more starters on D with our 1 and 2 next year.

If we are that desperate for another pass rusher, go get another in FA or trade ONE pick for one.

Says he wants cheap rookies then wants to pay a upper-mid tier pass rusher 20+ mil

Yep. This move up would cost us our entire draft and a couple of additional firsts. So 7-8 guys over the next 2-3 drafts on rookie deals contributing and Yannick paid and structured as the salary cap moves up, or Young on a rookie deal and 7-8 guys we have to pay in FA to make up for it.
