  1. His behavior the last couple days, this morning's tweets, the videos he's posted ... he appears to be manic.
  2. EDIT: I see he wouldn't need any flips, but would need to hold every other state he won 4 years ago ... which seems like a tall order. And yeah, without Florida, it's over.
  3. Wouldn't a Trump win being decided by PA mean that he also swept those rust belt states again? Otherwise, I'd assume he would need to flip a couple of states that were blue in 2016, which seems unlikely. His chances in WI and MI look even slimmer than in PA, at least right now.
  4. Well if those here who said the real reason Newman left was because he got beat by one of these guys ... then Newman must have SUCKED.
  5. Just can't stop with the political stuff, I see. Anyway, as more schools shift to virtual learning in the coming weeks and months, it will be interesting to watch these games played on empty campuses, exposing once and for all what a joke the whole "student athlete" sham has become.
  6. There are a lot of other threads on this board in which to discuss politics, libs, Trump, etc. I hope we have football this Fall, and many outstanding questions relating to the virus, spread on college campuses, impact on college-age kids, etc. will be answered over the next month. I found out last night that a coworker is in ICU. Not too much older than the athletes we're discussing. The suggestion that covid will be a non-issue after November 3, or that two college athletics conferences postponing their seasons is an elaborate attempt to hurt Donald Trump is ridiculous and offensive.
  7. I tried the A120 when it came out. It IS very hot. I didn't love it (though it was good) but kind of wish I could try it again for comparison. You should grab that bottle while you can! I went into my shop on Saturday and they had 12 B520s on the shelf. I couldn't believe it. Might grab another next time I want to splurge but you're right, the September bottle is right around the corner and I'm very curious to see what that's like.
  8. FWIW, I was talking with a coworker about B520 a couple weeks ago. He told me that as great as it is, he preferred A120.
  9. And as you said - the product doesn't even come close to meriting that price. Good, sure. But $2,000 good? If you try the Larceny B520 please let us know what you think. My shop had a few bottles last time I was in there, but I went for the EC instead. In fact, they still had a few EC B520. I really might have to go and pick up another of these.
  10. I picked one of these up a few weeks ago, and finally cracked it open tonight. I'm generally a fan of Elijah Craig, but did not love the A120 or the B519 (I did not try last year's C). I went into this with tempered expectations, despite the hype. This is an incredible bourbon! This is up there with the best bourbons I've ever had. Absolute perfection, and a steal at this price point.
  11. And I believe those are Thursday's numbers. Friday's report broke their daily record for the third day in a row with over 4000 confirmed cases. Florida has broken their single day record 7 of the past 10 days.
  12. Lesson should be a lengthy prison sentence. Everything in that article is stunning.
  13. I'm team Evans if Kirby ultimately gives the OK. If not, I'm good either way. He's a Crowell-esque liability for sure, and perhaps not worth the risk, but I'd love to see this guy running between the hedges.
  14. Only took a day for Carter to be vindicated. Wow.
  15. I'm glad Bobo landed on his feet so quickly, but man is it going to be weird to see him calling plays for SC. I have a bad feeling Coley isn't going anywhere.
  16. Per 247, only 2 of the top 25 in-state kids are committed to UGA. Not necessarily good or bad, but a little surprising.
  17. Here's the thing about Georgia's playoff path this year. If they manage a win in the SEC Championship, there's a high likelihood that their next opponent would be ... LSU. Beating the Tigers once is going to be a tall order, twice would be very difficult indeed.
  18. Yeah, the final score didn't reflect the fact that Georgia pretty much controlled that game from start to finish. I'll take it though. What a great performance all around. Go Dawgs.
  19. I saw you ask about this earlier. I listened to the first half on the radio, and Dowdle did say just before kickoff that Kirby said something to the effect of "we're not ready" before the team went into the locker room.
  20. The Richt comparisons go far beyond those eerily similar records. Poor in-game coaching and clock management, baffling late game decisions, the annual / bi-annual faceplant game, the stubbornness and unwillingness to change things that aren't working, the bad coordinator hires (this last point is perhaps the most concerning) ... these were the things that people were up in arms over after every Richt loss. This offense is so one dimensional. Frankly, it's boring as **** to watch, even when operating efficiently. No creativity at all. I don't know what the answer is, but it's certainly frustrating. After taking a huge step year two, we regressed in year three and likely have regressed further in year four. Something has felt "off" since blowing the SEC Championship last year. I've been saying since he got here that I hoped Kirby would learn from his shortcomings and grow as a coach, but so far I haven't seen any evidence of that. Go Dawgs.
  21. My point exactly. They've already got it good, especially considering many would not otherwise have the opportunity - whether due to financial limitations, academic limitations, or both - to even get into one of these schools, let alone walk out with said degree. And tuition, as you know, is just one of countless perks that comes with an athletic scholarship. Now if you want to make the argument that at this point in time, the notion of the "college athlete" (especially as relates to big time football) is a total farce anyway, I absolutely agree. You're right, the system sucks, and is stupid. But flawed as it is, I don't believe upending what's there in an effort to benefit the "vast majority" who believe they'll be playing Sundays (vast majority at the football factories maybe, but certainly not the vast majority of D1), would improve things at all. Probably just the opposite actually. After all, this is the NCAA we're talking about, so of course they'll get it wrong.
  22. The 3 year rule? That's an NFL rule, not NCAA.
  23. Yeah, it's a part of it. But what's the average number of annual draft picks for even the biggest football factories? It's a relatively small number (let's say 5-7), while a plurality if not majority of D1 schools might have a single player (or none) taken in the draft each year. I'm not saying I don't think players deserve more freedom - in many ways I think they do - but the argument that Kirby isn't selling scholarships to kids like Tyrique Stevenson discounts the fact that many college athletes, football players and otherwise, know that graduation will be the end of the line for their playing career. Most people could only dream of the opportunity these kids have. I'm not sure how wise it is to upend a system, flawed as it is, to benefit a small handful of players, such as Justin Fields.
  24. That's actually not why I don't like it, though I am happy that certain archaic rules are changing (for the benefit of the players) or likely soon will. However, if college football evolves into what would essentially be a semi-pro feeder league to the NFL, but with far inferior talent, I'd prefer to just follow the NFL.
  25. I agree with this totally. Same regarding how the Haselwood thing played out. Probably dodged a bullet there. Frankly, I like Pickens more anyway, and definitely prefer his attitude.
