  1. I would like to see the Falcons get any player that's going to improve the defenses pass rush. A proven FA, not somebody who has shown potential, or another experiment, somebody proven. Not sure who they might trade for or replace, I'd just like to see the Falcons get some help on the pass rush.
  2. I've felt for years that the Hawks need to get some big dude to play center. It's almost like they are stuck in this mode where they believe a team of guards and forwards can win regardless. Shooters can hit a cold streak and cost you a game faster than a big center who's right there to drop the ball in for points, just my opinion. Which brings me to a question, and I'll be honest, I don't keep up with basketball as much as I do baseball or football, but "Who could the hawks have went after as a center to improve the team before the trade deadline?". Would that player have put the hawks over the top and in contention for a championship? I dunno, I'm just asking.
  3. Falcons lose without Michael Turner on the field, Falcons win with Michael Turner on the field. I hope that explains it simple enough for you to realize THE FALCONS HAVE A STAR RB!!!!! GO FALCONS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  4. Reggie Bush was a great college player, that's all. The Falcons don't need him, he's shown what he CANNOT do in the NFL. 'Nuff said. JMO......... GO FALCONS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  5. The title of your post was : "What is up with all this FA CB STUFF". You didn't say it that way in your post as though to side step the subject, only to go on with your thoughts on the subject while insinuating others are wrong for questioning the CB position. Neg me or whatever, but the bottom line is the defense failed, not the offense, they scored once in every game and that's all you can ask them to do. So yes Defense does win championships. Our defense is lacking, it's missing something so I'm not going to knock anybody for posting any questions about why the defense failed. I just hope the coaches and the front office realize the defense didn't stop the other team from scoring, especially in the playoffs. Don't get me wrong, I'm not knocking the Falcons, and I don't think it's right for others who say "Hey the defense needs Improvement" to be knocked either. The Falcons Defense needs work plain and simple. What that is I dunno, I have no say in it either way, but it is an interesting discussion to hear. Just my opinion. GO FALCONS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  6. My main concern, and hope is that the people who decide team players don't use one playoff game loss or two as a measuring stick to decide "TEAM NEEDS". As for WR, I say do what's best for the team, one play on the field has several different factors and far too many times people zone in on these idea's as to how to blame someone for failure instead of looking at "THE BIG PICTURE". Oh well, that's my input anyway. GO FALCONS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  7. Just to have a bit of fun - Which 5 Teams do you hope are going to be the worst in the NFL for the 2011 season? Here's my list : Saints Bucs Panthers ^- An obvious easy first 3 being a Falcons fan. Eagles Patriots
  8. Which 5 teams do you believe are going to be the worst teams in the NFL for the 2011 season? I was trying to come up with a list of the top 5 worst, I'm guessing of course, I think the list might go something like this. Panthers Cardinals Browns Bengals Jaguars What's your top 5 worst predictions?
  9. Thanks for clearing that up. I thought they had already got the deal done, my bad.
  10. None of these non divisional games are going to be easy looking at future schedules, it's showing : 2011 Home Green Bay Minnesota Jacksonville Tennessee Philadelphia Away Chicago Detroit Houston Indianapolis Seattle 10-8 is what I'm predicting, but that number might change depending on what happens before the season starts. It's an 18 game season now right? Or am I missing something?
  11. Vick buried the hatchet years ago, probably saved him from a couple more years in prison. And no, I'm not a hater, I only wish nothing but good for everybody. I'm only kidding.
  12. IMO, don't give up on him just yet, give him a chance to compete for the position. That being said, it's his job to keep and somebody elses to take, so if somebody beats him out for the spot then they are the better player and the right choice.
  13. It would prove nothing, nobody is going to be playing all out in a game that doesn't matter. The pro bowl is a joke, it's just a gathering of stars. It would be more entertaining to have them all act out and recreate the best plays of the season for 4 QTR's instead of acting like they are playing like they do when you know they are just trying to not get hurt because it don't matter. Fans could vote on which plays are the best for the NFC/AFC and have them try and recreate them for 4 QTR's, I think it would be interesting to watch, at least they'd be trying to do something for real, and not act like it was really a game. It would require both offense and defense to cooperate but I think they could pull it off. It would highlight the best of the season by the best in the league. Oh well, that's my 2 cents worth either way.
  14. I agree, One hit wonders are a one year of almost, and 9 years of no chance. At least a dominate regular season team has a chance to win it all every year.
  15. +1, Your right, that's something you just can't buy no matter how good or who the player is in my opinion. Fitz would be an awesome pickup for the Falcons, I wouldn't trade Roddy for him just because of the point you just made there. LOL, no doubt it's the offseason even though there is still one more game in the NFL, the all madden Cyber Falcons team lineup has started already!
  16. I voted Run & Gun, but only because it seems a bit more entertaining to watch, at least to me. A winning offense is everyone's favorite though, don't matter what kind it is just as long as it's winning. IMO, balanced will probably win the poll, but I guess it's only as balanced as the defense allows it to be so in a way there is no such thing as balanced, you either can do what you want and give the run and pass a chance, or one or the other will win out or they will both fail. Oh a side note, you left out "Dink & Dunk" offense as a choice. Oh well, just my opinion.
  17. If it's on the net, it's on there for good somewhere, there is no such thing as a delete key anymore. Just ask the mods if they'll delete it for you. You'd probably be better off to leave the account and just not use it, because once it's deleted somebody could create a account with your avy/name etc.... for trolling. I doubt if your account gets deleted that the name is going to be on a not allowed entry list for new user names.
  18. +1 Your right about one thing, the defense is lacking, no doubt about that. I think a lot got missed by the coaching staff and the front office during the season because of the stellar Job the Offense done on controlling the clock and keeping the defense off the field. Those are some very interesting view points. I can't argue with them, actually from what I read that you said I'm right there with you on most of your views. Painfully obvious on some points you make I should say. It's time for the front office and coaching staff to stop hoping players will get better and start making some hard choices to get better on defense. Or in other words, don't wait around and hope for the best, fix the problems and get something done. If someone is not getting the job done, then they don't need to be trying to do the job. JMO.....
  19. I'm a little busy right now, Let's talk about this tomorrow Supes! I'm just kidding. Have a great off season!!
  20. All you do is try and stir up trouble, not opinions. My question is "How many more post will you make before you slip up and get banned!!!"?
  21. JD, to be honest with you, I've been against the thought from the start just because of the money issue. But a major playoff lose later has really made me start to think : "Whatever it cost, SIGN HIM if it means a Superbowl". That being said, That's up to the front office and coaches to decide, only time will tell. We shall see.
  22. Frustration has many looks. How would you feel if or look if you were them is the most important question you should be asking yourself, not US. If you are a Falcons fan, don't hold your head down, keep in mind at the start of the season we weren't even supposed to make the playoffs by most persons thoughts. The Falcons didn't lose in that game, they learned, and the only way to get better is to lose sometimes to realize the importance of what winning actually means. They'll be ready come next season! GO FALCONS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  23. The Pass rush just isn't the best in the NFL, I hate to say that, but I'm being brutally honest. I think when you play a team like green bay you have to disrupt their timing, and the only way to do that is to get to the QB. John Abraham is a great player, but he can't do it all by himself. JMO..........
