That’s been said every year. Every year outside of 2013, the QB got hyped up as best picks for franchise QB. Heck Mariotta and Winston were Hiesman winners. The 2016 was supposedly a deep draft at QB. There is run for QB almost every year.

Starting to see many Mocks where we may land our Future QB . ...but there is a problem... He may not be there at #4 ...... Here's hoping we get a little sunshine on our long , dark road ahead !!!

Facts but thats even more of a reason to get one at 4 with them being relevant while still getting the future signal caller. I dont have a good feeling abt any player in this draft at 4 other than Lawrence or Sewell and since Lawrence would be gone we may as well draft the future qb. Ideally I would like to trade down and gain picks! I mean do you feel good about any prospect at 4 that u can say this is a generational talent or a no Brainer pick? Because at 4 imo the pick should be a pro bowler without a question doesn't happen all the time but I think top 5 picks are supposed to.

I actually want to win now and have the future ready when that time comes that would be ideal. Look at GB i mean they have Rodgers but they still drafted his successor in the 1st last yr and look where they are now PRIME POSITION. All they needed was the right coach. Doesn't hurt that they're defense has improved alot either. But I think that with our recent coaching additions that we can afford to pick a qb at 4 while adding quality guys with the other picks and still be relevant. We can't get any worst! Man its been a tough 3 yrs!!!

Checked the Falcons coaches page yesterday and only 11 coaches were still there. Many coaches who had yet to have announcements that they were gone aren't there anymore. Morgan's name wasn't there so I kinda assumed he was gone. The others are probably ones they've yet to make a determination on. 

Franchise QBs are rare, fuego. Gotta have at least one. I agree.

QB not usually a BPA pick for sure. But, if you are ready to draft Ryan's successor, and there is what you consider a franchise QB there, then you take them. We just don't know what their thinking on this is yet. 

Subtly, I think it could be Jameis Winston. I think that has a chance to work out (if they choose to go that route). The Saints probably didn't expect to be drafting at 4, so maybe that successor move won't translate to the Falcons, but it does give some precedence.

Been trying to tell you "trade back" guys this FOREVER. Draft for the future TAKE THE BEST PLAYER AVAILABLE. If Fields or Wilson is there. GRAB HIM.

Jeff Schultz seems really invested in the Falcons moving on from Julio and Matt.
He never mention under performing players like Allen, Davision, Bailey, Carpenter, Fowler.
