Tradition and selling the fix, of course.  Do you really think they wouldn't do what they always do?  I mean what, would they not drop the confetti after the win if it was fixed?  Your logic is so flawed it's hard to believe you're being serious with this.

It's like you have paint chips for breakfast...

Riddle me this Einstein, if there was a fix in this game, and the Falcons were in on it (they would have to be to explain Kyle's playcalling in your theory) then why are you sitting here on a message board that generates revenue based on your presence here?  This fanbase doesn't need more lunatics.  Speak with your pocketbook and boycott the NFL and all its mediums.

Or do you get emotionally invested into the WWE too?

You wanted us to keep the filter? I thought this board was screaming for us to "forgive" and give guys second chances?

Nah. He wants to be a contrarian. If the hire fails he says I told you so. If it succeeds it proves he was right about the filler. Either way he gets to crow about hindsight, which is like his Viagra.

Now one can someone give insight into Sark's scheme?

It's just a fact that SB winners have a better record of returning to the SB than SB losers do, don't they?

Yeah it is, but in each of those cases there were different variables at play.  Who knows what will happen next year, but this team is still ready to compete.  Whether they will or not remains to be seen.

And then throw the tagline "conspiracy" kneejerk response to elicit the emotional response, in order to obfuscate what the person is saying by attacking their credibility.  This stuff is so obvious.  Either way, you care more than I ever will again about this now, that's for sure.  With that said, I would like to thank the mods for giving us all a mostly safe place to vent and share our ideas and experiences.

People like Gaucho and Brady are only here to steer the discussion to their desired outcomes, but the mods have done a wonderful job of letting everyone get this off their chest.  In this day and age, your willingness to allow open discussion is refreshing.  This is what the internet is supposed to be.  Sadly, people like Gaucho and Brady have their agendas to flex on everyone around them and I really just pity them for having to live like that.

The problem with you people is you force people to think inside your little box, as if no money is being bet anywhere else because it is illegal.  That's why it's setup this way, so they can throw Vegas in everyones' face when someone points out the obvious truth.  You think the NFL wouldn't pay their losses and then some on the back end?  Oh, but no, that could never happen; I mean when in the history of humanity have two companies ever colluded to draw more money out of their fanbase to recover losses on the front end?  Well, h3ll, I could never imagine that has ever happened in the history of humanity little Johnny!  So rudimentary, the **** you people come up with.

I don't think you know what a Conspiracy is.  However you are proposing that the game's outcome was rigged because of betting interests.  Not only that, you are stating that some of the parties in the rigging intentionally took losses to throw off the results and obfuscate the conspiracy?  And that the NFL is paying them on the back end to make up for it?

If that is true, then it is one of the most amazing conspiracies ever.  If its not, then you're a lunatic.

And don't you ever lump me in with a Pats troll who I have already called out this morning.  Perhaps you are a bit too personally invested?

Kind of funny that these responses offer both the textbook kneejerk emotional response and the kudos to the plan, with a veiled admission of payout.  Very interesting.

Perhaps you would like to address the one response that showed Vegas likely lost money on this game?  Or is it easier to cope with the loss by saying we never had a chance from the first whistle because "conspiracy?"

AWW!!  Poor Baby-  Take it like a man.  Tom Freakin Brady just carved your team up like a Sunday Chicken!!  New England spotted you 28 and THAT wasn't even enough... MONUMENTAL COLLAPSE!  The Atlanta Falcons just set a record which will be mentioned at every Super Bowl for the next 100 years!!  Every sports team that blows a lead for the next Century will be compared to the 2016 Falcons!!!  At least they'll be remembered!!!

Pretty sad life to come to an opposing teams message board after a gift wrapped Super Bowl.  Brady and Belichick are undoubtedly the greatest of all time, and they earned their comeback, but proper play-calling in the 4th quarter from the Falcons on one drive would have had you back in your cave for a year.  Enjoy gloating, the Falcons shot themselves in the foot as much, if not moreso than Tom "Freakin" Brady won the game...

  7. The heartbreak stems from the fact that the win was something within our grasp, but play-calling and execution cost us the trophy.  It isn't that we were outclassed, or that we were robbed by the refs, its that we gave the game away.  Kyle should have run the ball a lot more in the second half.  Matt should have gotten the ball out of his hands rather than taking multiple sacks.  Freeman should have made his block.  The O-line shouldn't have held.  All of these are self inflicted injuries.

But you know what, they are all correctable.  This team still has a lot of talent.  We saw what this defense will be.  We saw that this offense can be mesmerizing when it isn't shooting itself in the foot.  The majority of contributing players will be back next year.  The defense will only get better.  The Falcons will be back in contention if we don't get bit by the injury bug.  Our schedule next year will not be the hardest in the NFL.

This loss sucks, and it will linger for a while.  But I choose to look forward, to a young team with a stable core, that has a bright future.  Anyone who wants to turn their fan card in, go ahead.  I'm sticking with it though, and I'm looking forward to the 2017 season.

haha I wish I could post you a video of "chill" Oakland fans..  Yeah a lot of them are cool, I was tail gating with them..  But some of them get a little crazy at times..

No doubt, but I have been nearly assaulted at several 49ers games, and one dude threw a 40 bottle at me walking back to my car after a win at Candlestick.

Raider's fans are loud, and some are rude or obnoxious, but I've never actually felt unsafe at a Raider's game.

Sooo jealous of you but really excited for you at the same time.  Rep our birds Sunday!!

Next time the Falcons come to California, we should all meet up for a tail gate (preferably not Oakland lol)

I have way more fun going to the games in Oakland than the ones in SF/Santa Clara.  Oakland fans are chill!

Uh no.  We had more wins in 2016 so it makes sense that we dig deeper to see why that's the case.  However, there is no proof the 2016 defense is better than 2015 defense so there is no reason to dig deeper.

The only reason to dig deeper is if there was a change in outcome because we want to know why that's the case.  If the outcome was the same, does it really matter why the outcome was the same?  That only matters to the technicians behind the scenes.

I have always argued that the defense was not much better than last year.   You didn't think so I brought up stats to prove it.

The funny thing is that you think you are arguing.  You are too dumb to even realize that you don't know what you are talking about.

  11. Ryan means more to the Atlanta Falcons history than any other QB as far as I am concerned.  But I think it is important to not whitewash over the history of Vick and the Falcons simply because the hype ended in a let down due to reasons completely under the control of Vick.

Let's not pretend that a lot of Matt Ryan fans now didn't  become Falcon's fans because of Vick.  Let's not forget that Vick went into Lambeau and had the first playoff victory for a road game ever there.  Let's not forget the excitement that Vick brought to the city. The collective fanbase leaping from their seats as Vick split two Vikings defenders causing them to cartoonishly collide while Vick went to the house.  Those things, even if for a moment, are part of the reason that Vick will always be in Falcon's lore.  That doesn't meant that he didn't let down fans and the franchise with his work ethic, reprehensible off the field activities, and general lack of maturity.  IT doesn't meant that people need to look past his crimes and accept him because of his excitement on the field.  But let's not pretend that Vick did nothing for this franchise.

Vick both boosted and screwed the Franchise.  He set them back with his selfishness, but brought them to the masses with his excitement.  In the end, he failed this franchise, and Matt Ryan has delivered nearly a decade of exemplary performance at QB both on and off the field.  Atlanta's fan-base is now, and has been for a long while, behind Matt Ryan and beyond Mike Vick, but that doesn't mean that Vick's checkered history with the Falcon's should be completely discounted.

ESPN sucks though, I just hope a better alternative rises up, but that would require the masses to want content and not controversy.  I'm not hopeful.
