  1. Right, you could have seen another fake image online from an untrustworthy internet source. That’s the entire point.
  2. A lot of it is fake and pushed by discredited sources. https://www.politifact.com/factchecks/2020/oct/26/facebook-posts/no-evidence-hunter-biden-had-photos-coons-daughter/ If there was actual CP on Hunter’s laptop, it would be front page on Fox News and the FBI would have arrested Hunter by now. This is like the Seth Rich conspiracy...you’re chasing discredited sources that are intentionally lying to you. With Seth Rich, the people involved actually admitted that they lied. We’ll probably find something similar with this one after the election.
  3. Not you, but you just said that you follow a Twitter feed that is posting child pornography. If what they posted is actually child pornography, that Twitter user likely committed multiple felonies. You need to be careful about this stuff.
  4. Covid cases are spiking and deaths are back up to almost 1,000 people every day, meaning we’re having the equivalent of a 9/11 every 3-4 days.
  5. All kidding aside, at this point I think this is most likely, but I reserve the right to change if things shift dramatically in the polls over the weekend, especially in PA where the race is tightening and Trump has several events scheduled there in the coming days... ^^^OH and GA are still in the mix and I wouldn’t be shocked to see one or the other go Biden. For some reason, I do think that IA has a better chance of flipping than GA, but I don’t really know why I think that.
  6. Here’s my prediction: https://projects.fivethirtyeight.com/2020-election-forecast/
  7. Almost 74 million people have already voted. That’s about 54% of the 2016 turnout. That’s astounding.
  8. I can’t find a story yet, but CNN reporting on new Bob Woodward tapes. He interviewed Jared Kushner back in April and some of the comments are amazing. Kushner said that Trump was now in charge, not the doctors, and he said that Trump had done a hostile takeover of the GOP. Edit: https://www.cnn.com/2020/10/28/politics/woodward-kushner-coronavirus-doctors/index.html
  9. Exactly the same for me, and I’m 100% the type of person who ought to be full square opposed to it. In fact, I HAVE been opposed to it the entire time...until the GOP went on a hypocritical lying power grab. And now I completely support it. That’s a pretty big shift. What I think people are missing is that for people like me, who value democratic norms and institutions, there’s a very compelling argument to be made that has nothing to do with ideology or partisanship or even how the Court rules. It’s about demonstrating that there are consequences when one party stomps all over thos
  10. Thanks for sharing and that might be what’s driving my concern about Qanon also. I’ve got one particular relative who regularly posts Q-related stuff about pedophilia, a friend who broke up with his fiancé because of Qanon, and I’ve seen several Facebook friends (left and right) post “saveourchildren” memes that have Qanon and their motto right there on the meme but didn’t make the connection. I’ve seen people go from normal to radicalized in just weeks after getting into it. And that one particular relative started recently posting borderline Boogaloo stuff about revolution and violence.
  11. I get the sentiment, but I think it’s a bad idea to minimize the danger of this stuff, especially since the intelligence community and law enforcement officials from Trump down to local PD’s have said that right wing extremism is a bigger threat than left wing extremism or international terrorism...at least at this point in time.
  12. Sure, and I was kind of lumping them all into weirdo conspiracy theorists on Facebook.
  13. I mean, there has been a lot of those Facebook conspiracy weirdos going out killing people, shooting up pizza joints, and conspiring to kidnap and probably execute governors and mayors around the country. The FBI calls Qanon a domestic terrorist threat. It’s pretty serious, man.
