  1. Replacing three offensive line starters is HUGE, but the Falcons need linebacker help, too. Even if Nicholas and Peterson are re-signed, they and Lofton are two-down linebackers and are liabilities in pass coverage. Last year, the Falcons' payroll was about $96m, some $32M under the 2009 Cap!!! Likely to be $140m or more in 2011, there will be ample room under the new cap to sign a free agent defensive end, a free agent linebacker, a free agent offensive lineman, AND a free agent wide receiver.

  3. There's a lot misdirection from NFL teams at the combine. Some of these same teams who are bad mouthing Greg Little may actually be interested in him. Little was very contrite in his media session: http://www.mockingthedraft.com/2011/2/25/2015713/greg-little-humbly-faces-the-media
  4. Fans would appreciate a candid discussion from the Falcons about the reasons for Sidbury's lack of playing time in 2010 and his future with the team. Sidbury ran a 4.47 forty (Adkins 4.43, Nicholas 4.64, Weatherspoon 4.68), so I'm wondering if Sidbury might get some consideration at LB???
  5. It's time for Mularkey to go. Hire Clarence Shelmon, OC and John Ramsdell, Qback Coach, from the Chargers!
  6. Which Falcon gets the franchise tag for 2011?
  7. 1. OT - If Ryan doesn't stay upright and healthy, the rest doesn't matter! 2. DE - I love Biermann but the more he gets involved with gold-digging, pregnancy entrapping, part-time lesbo Kim Zolciak, the less his focus will be on football. Whether it be an interior lineman ala Ndamukong Suh or a defensive end, the Falcons need a pass rushing BEAST in addition to Abraham even if it means trading Kroy (and Kim). At week nine, the NFL team leader has twenty six sacks. The Falcons are in the middle of the pack with fifteen. If the Birds could improve their sack total by thirty percent, they would have a very formidable and much improved defense. 3. TE - Future replacement for Gonzalez. How about some speed to stretch the field? 4. LB - Weatherspoon's absence with a knee injury highlights a team weakness. An injury to Lofton would be devastating. The Falcons need another multi-positional linebacker and a replacement for Peterson. 5. RETURN SPECIALIST - RB/WR/CORNER/SAFETY - An illusive, break-away kick/punt threat ala Devin Hester who doubles as a RB, WR, or SAFETY/CORNER. 6. RB/WR/SAFETY/CORNER - Depending on number 5 above. Special teams ace apply now! 7. INNOVATIVE OFFENSIVE PLAY CALLING !!!! Maybe we can trade a draft pick for Charlie Weis.
  8. Singletary's days are numbered especially if it was he and not the GM who was responsible for firing Mike Martz and hiring Jimmy Raye. Raye has a dismal record as an offensive coordinator. The real question is: When will Singletary get fired? Stanford's Jim Harbaugh will lead the 49ers next year.
  9. Falcons needs in order of priority: 1. Left offensive tackle 2. Outside linebacker 3. Tight end with deep threat potential 4. Safety/Corner 5. Wide receiver with size and speed 6. Defensive end 7. Elusive running back/return specialist
  10. If you could add one player to the Falcons who would most improve the Falcons' chance of getting into and winning the 2011 Superbowl in Dallas, 1) Who would that player be 2) Why would you add him, and 3) What would you give up to get him?
  11. 10 observations in Falcons' loss to the Steelers: 1) Falcons are a smash-mouth, physical running team... NOT. 2) The O-line is pedestrian. 3) The offensive play calling is uninspired and unimaginative. 4) For a team that emphasized improving the vertical passing game in pre-season, they once again failed to stretch the field. 5) Ryan's third year may be worse than his second as he continues to make poor decisions throwing into double and triple coverage. Who would have thought that Dennis Dixon would have a higher QB rating than Matty "Thin" Ice Ryan? 6) The 2010 draft was mediocre producing only one immediate starter and two inactive roster "back-ups" for marginal O-line starters. 7) Michael Turner looked SLOW. 8) This team persistently fails to integrate Norwood into the offense and take advantage of his big play potential. 9) Roddy White is a pro bowler. 10) Play to win on the road, not tie!!!!!! Sadly, even the coach lacked confidence in his team's ability to convert a fourth and inches with the game on the line. Shameful. Bonus Observation: #11 - if the Falcons' new web site is indicative of the team's ability, the Falcons won't have a winning season in 2010. The new website is a jokingly amateurish effort with broken links and numerous 404 errors. The SOB responsible for the Falcons' new website should be fired... today!
  12. Who gets waived when Babineaux returns from his one game suspension?
  13. Excuses are BS! Launching a half ***, beta web site is unprofessional and doing so shows a complete lack of respect for your customers. One would expect as much from the Smith's, but not from Arthur Blank.
