  1. ...gain of 1. Marching down the field with the explosive talent we have.
  2. ...really? No wrap up tackles, 2 absolute failures on DeCoud and letting them pass all over us. The only people who have come to play are Abraham and Bryant. Biermann is doing well with his snaps.
  3. Dude should have stepped up when he wasn't on ST and got more sacks then. If he became a sack monster - we'd have kept him fresh.
  4. He looked good pass blocking, alot better. Still has a way to go but at least make some sense Dr. Billings. If Turner is in - we know it's a run. If Rogers is in, at least we know it could be any play, except a screen - that's too much to ask.
  5. In simple, Vel wins because Owens actually hasn't given up much since MIA. Those are Owen's plays, the ones where he gave up nothing/next to nothing.
  6. I guarantee, the intelligent people and other GMs around the league, do not underestimate/underrate Babineaux
  7. Meier for me will be the #4 WR - and when you think he'll be going against some of the smaller, weaker #4 DB's, he'll make plays. Weems is decent, and yes he catches alot thrown his way (no longer everything as we know), but Meier runs crisp routes and has prototypical size. Give him chances, he'll make plays. He attacks the ball really well.
  8. I don't even live in Atlanta, Georgia or let alone even America, but I still found it an interesting read. It's great you've got 3 teams to be proud of. It's a shame some idiots can't appreciate that.
  9. No - he was severely over-rated after having his 1 good season. He was suspect last year, yet still got paid a fat contract.
  10. I'm going Julio for 2 reasons. 1. He has Matt Ryan throwing him the ball. 2. He's so humble, and has a very professional approach to the game. He'll no doubt learn from Roddy who will tell him personally, it takes the dedication and sacrifice to reach the heights - he'll do it instantly, whereas Roddy took a couple years.
  11. We already have to re-sign about 6-8 of our own FA's - once that's done, how do we then sign 7 rookies? Who get's cut? Where do these magical roster spaces appear? He got rid of a few picks, knowing we can't afford all of them, and bundled them into one guy who he figures will have a salary cap, but still be a productive, top tier player. Shrewd business.
  12. I want my slot guy to be quick and agile - to make the breaks on shorter routes with the potential for YAC, Jenkins isn't that guy.
  13. I agree - just taking the neutral stand point. He's not slow, but he isn't explosive or 'quick'. Give him a skinny post, and he'll tear it up - ask Mayock - he made a video about it at some point.
  14. Long striders are slow starters. Usain bolt has insanely long strides but openly admits he starts slow (in his context it's still fast obviously). Jenkins has pretty stiff hips. He's decent going downfield, but when the balls in the air, there is no way he shouldn't come down with it. Dude is 6'4 - if he ever decides to jump and catch the ball - it should be simple.
  15. That says it all right there for me. 6 TDs in 3 years is abysmal, from any receiver. Especially a 6'4 guy.
  16. It's disgraceful. Here in England we're starting to have the same problem. People are getting bigger and can't control themselves. I don't personally always eat the healthiest option, but I know to excercise, otherwise if I eat something with a lot of calories and fat, it's going to stick around. It isn't like it hits you as a surprise. One day you don't just wake up being 400lbs, it takes time to gain that much weight. What sickens me is, we are limited to how much luggage we can carry on, and have to pay extra $$ / ££ if we want extra luggage. Why should people pay more for luggage as 'the plane can only carry so much weight', and then people this big get on without extra charge. What happened to that weight limit all of a sudden?
  17. 1. We ran 50% of the time and threw the ball 50% of the time last year. - The old 'run first offense' is not as heavily run based as you would imagine. The only reason it was is because we don't have the line to protect Matt Ryan long enough or the WRs to make big plays, except Roddy. Add that to the fact Matt was a rookie and then sophomore, running the ball was far easier to do than to place the whole workload onto Ryan's shoulders. 2. Cam Heyward would not see the middle of our line. 3. JJ Watt would not see our defense - this isn't a 34 scheme. 4. Julio will be the #2 this year. Roddy isn't as young as you think. We've just got a number 1, despite the fact he'll be the number 2 for 1-2 seasons, he's the eventual pairing that we have for many years to come. Ryan to Roddy is great, but in 7-10 years, it will all be Ryan to Jones. 5. Our pourous defense is young. Do you want to replace 'B' grade talent, with more 'B' grade potential? Come on son, think about it at least.
  18. We gave up 4 and swapped 1. It's as simple as that.
  19. I truly hope this guy lights it up, these threads are always full of hilarious posts in hindsight
  20. I don't get the Weems love. Finding a guy who can return kicks is easy enough really. Then people throw out the hype of him catching 12 for 12. Let's see if he can do that against the nickel corner all the time, the dude's always against the 4th corner or a safety - I expect a WR to beat that guy consistently.
  21. Ah, understood. Then in a simple reply - whoever makes the play gets the snap. Obviously we're going to pound it with Turner alot, but I honestly think it will be 15-20 times per game this season (on average). Obviously if we're playing a poor Rush D we'll go heavier and use 2 tight end sets more etc. In regards to the passing game though, I don't mind who gets the snap, as long as they make some plays. Roddy obviously got the most because he's our star WR, but I expect his amount to drop with Julio arriving - but with an increased ypc and yac average.
  22. When you say Roddy gets X amount of snaps, Jenks gets Y amount of snaps so Julio can only get Z amount of snaps. If all 3 are on the field at the same time, but the ball is thrown to Julio, does that count as a snap for him, and the others, or just him? Just asking. If the guy is on the field, it's upto him to make a play, Ryan doesn't think 'oh wait no, it's his snap later'.
