  1. “But I would say we're really proud of the work that he [Freeman] put back in,” Freeman said. “He did an exceptional job. His energy, his attitude, his fight, it was always on point. But as the life of a competitor, we've got tough decisions ahead. So, way too early for us to put in too many spots.” this quote makes me think that ATL will be interested in bringing in a RB while adding to the OL as well. I think Freeman gets moved or restructured to eventually be cut in a year. DQ and Koetter I’m assuming want some more explosiveness out of the backfield and likely this draft is the
  2. Really long read, but really good. Good insight on what happens to these Rooks !
  3. Wish him the best in his retirement, he was a good Falcon. Injuries got the best of him, but he was good when healthy. Have a good one Andy !
  4. I think that's going to be a huge difference in the defense this year, just the sheer fact that DQ will attack instead of sit back and wait for it to happen. I really like Kazee as a match-up in the nickel and roaming at S he's such a good player already, if he can be consistent in his tackling he can be a premier defender in the NFL. I worry more so about the DL, I like our LB's a lot and a healthy Debo means Campbell's job gets easier which means our LB core as a whole is stronger. We'll see what this DL can do. I'm very optimistic about Oliver, probably more than most. I have high expectati
  5. Really good article. Really looking forward to Training camp so what this new OL can and will look like.
  6. I hope so, I know Calvin Ridley and Mohammed Sanu posted snaps with Julio already at Flowery Branch. Looks like a deal will soon get done anyways. Would be good to have the whole group together.
  7. I myself question if we're going to be a good defense. There's just so many what if's.... You need Ricardo Allen to come back from a hard injury to come back from, Neal to not take a step back after an ACL tear (I know they're like broken bones now, doctors are pretty good with fixing them) you're banking on Takk, Clay and Vic to get on track and create a consistent pass rush, Isiah Oliver coming in and being an upgrade to Robert Alford. Top 20 ? I can see it... top 10 ? meh, if all those what if's turn into positives and everything turns out then sure. Also, if ATL was the 20th ranked defe
  8. I was reading that Ollison was looking good today. Would be really nice to hit on a back with his size/speed.
  9. Apparently Vaughn McClure said you won't see a signing until some time next week on Lindstrom.
  10. He was easily my favourite Falcon when he was here, I still own his jersey and wear the retro on game days. Now and again I'll peep those highlights.... him bull rushing Jake Long then sacking Chad Pennington was incredible lol. He was so good at getting turnovers too, underappreciated part of his game.
  11. If we manage to be a top 20 Defense I think that would be a huge win for us. I do however, think we'll create more turnovers which will be huge. Coverage sacks are going to need to happen a lot of Vic doesn't learn anything from DQ and Takk doesn't take the next step in his development.
  12. If the DL combo this year doesn’t work we need to take this same approach to that... just get as many quality guys in there and hit a good rotation. I like this thought process from Dimitroff, we finally got quality AND depth across the OL, something we haven’t had in a long time. Hoping we can see Lindstrom/McGary start this year though and them win the camp battles at there positions.
  13. Every time I look at tape of McGary, the dude is just pancaking dudes, he truly is an aggressive lineman. Absolutely love his game. Him and Chris Lindstrom vs Cam Jordan of the sAints should be a really good match-up this year. I thought he was most dominate vs Oregon and Ohio St as well.
  14. Gotta run the ball better to help improve this, Matt Ryan throws way too much. Consistency is on the way for this offense I hope.
  15. Really good video, seems like a good kid. I'm intrigued by him. I know some scouts were really high on him.
  16. My thoughts exactly, the athletic traits in which you can't teach are there.... now if he develops and learns to use his hands more he could really turn into something.
  17. Really good point, fans just hate it cause it wasn't the "sexy" pick. They wanted a shiny new pass rusher. But I liked the moves, Lindstrom looks like a technician and can be physically imposing at times and McGary looked really good against Ohio St and Auburn, he plays with a physical mindset and literally wants to rip your head-off. I've missed those kind of OL here, I really hope we can shut up Cam Jordan and company, it's annoying to see him beat the brakes off our whole right side when he plays us.
  18. Imagine thinking there's a better WR in football but for real, he's a machine.
  19. I think it'll be just OK, not great, not bad just OK. The only reason to be optimistic is getting everyone back healthy (At least right now) and our coverage being better on the back end which will allow for "half a second late Vic Beasley" to maybe generate some real pressure and the same goes for Takk. It's also depending on if Isiah Oliver plays to the ability I think he can, if he ends up being a downgrade to Robert Alford then our defense as a whole is in trouble. I think DQ coaching helps big time since they defense played really good under him in 16'. Lot's of moving pieces on this topi
  20. He has a few good runs against Clemson, I always try to watch teams vs Clemson to see how well they play against a big front. I think two things that stick out about Ollison are his vision and his balance. He seems to stay up after initial contact and he's patient enough to find enough room to hit a hole. I'm really excited about this kid, curious to see how they use him in the pass game as well. He should get a bunch of reps in TC as I'm sure they'll bring Freeman and Ito along slowly after finishing the year on the IR.
  21. I watched his tape at the senior bowl, and I know he’s got tons of room to grow. I think his physical traits got him drafted rather than what he did at the senior bowl. He was average, the batting of the pass down was good, other than that he was pretty non existent. I like him, and I think he has the traits to be a physical beast for us, but if he’s trying to win the same way he was at the senior bowl he’s gonna learn the hard way that it won’t work. DQ should help
  22. Dude is really raw, but man, some of his highlights are really impressive. Senior Bowl was rough on him. DQ definitely going to have to work on some pass rush moves with him though, sounds like a long-term plan .... I do like his game though, looks to win with power, something we haven't seen around these parts for awhile.
  23. It really depends on how the DL comes together and the RG and RT come along. If all play to there potential and we stay healthy I think 2019 could be a big year. Biggest thing for me is taking pressure off of Matt Ryan, so the run game has to find consistency and same with the OL. Overall, I'd say we're going to have a big 2019....
  24. I do really like this guy, I wasn't too sure on him when we first got him but I took a long hard look at his tape and he's definitely runs with a purpose. Another note is that he has a special teams tackle as well so obviously him being able to play special teams comes into play. He has really good vision and should be able to hit holes really well. Was apparently 4th in the college last year in 15+ yard runs, at 225 lbs and 6'2 that's really impressive!
