    UGA  should have this game.
The truth is the offense has diappoined and gutted the fanbase.   The passing game has just been M.I.A. most of the year and there is no consistency nor explosiveness to the offense.    The Dawgs did lose Godwin, Hardiman, Ridley, Holloman and Nauta in one off-season which is quite a lot - I thought, mistakenly - that the Dawgs wouldn't miss a beat and thought the offense would be as good as ever.    Most people thought Zamir White might explode on the scene and be a star - and no one saw regression in Jake Fromm's game - which we have seen - how much due to the WRs,  maybe a lot perhaps.
UGA started the season w/ designs on avenging Bama and getting to a National Championship - most realize that is now most likely out of reach - while technically it could still happen - it doesn't feel realistic.
It was also disheartening to hear that Kirby admitted he didn't think his team showed they were ready to play in warm-ups of the USC game.  There are only 13 of these games per year and the Gamecocks aren't exactly Murray State - you should ALWAYS be up for games but especially SEC games.
I am sure others will disagree and have different  takes - after all, we all are individuals -  but it does feel like the  patient isn't dead but is in hospice care and just waiting for the end.

Obviously the Dawgs could turn it around this weekend and catch fire and finish out the season strong (HOPEFULLY THIS WILL HAPPEN!!!!) - just feels like we are underachieving the talent and seeing teams like Florida and LSU playing much better than maybe their talent was initially thought is somewhat of a downer.    Feels right now like our offensive playcalling and our overall offensive strategy is off track.

Fields situation is not as unique as you say here.   The QB transfer thing didn’t start with him.
YES, when you start stacking QBs, some are going to transfer.  It was a thing before Fields and will be a thing long after.
Baker Mayfield, Kyler Murray, Jalen Hurts, Jacob Eason, etc, etc
Anyone not expecting QB transfers for ALL top programs isn’t paying attention.  This is and will be the new norm.  I'm not saying all of them will transfer - but a healthy percentage of top rated guys are gonna transfer if they don't think they will be starter by Sophmore year and a higher percentage if they don't see the path by Junior year.  Kids want to play earlier now and most 4-5*'s are hoping to get to NFL - you aren't getting there without at least 20 starts. YES, there are exceptions (Trubisky, Haskins /1yr college starters drafted high - but most won't wait).

This. It’s difficult to find highly-rated quarterback recruits who are comfortable with not playing, or even waiting 2-3 years for a chance to start. The problem seems to begin when you recruit elite QB prospects exclusively, bringing in one/year, and then you’re a transfer/injury away from serious depth issues.
Might not hurt to bring in a high-upside quarterback with every other class to complement the higher rated guy. Probably won’t expect playing time, and will be more likely to provide depth and stick around all four seasons. Similar to Joe Cox, I guess.

I may be alone here, but does it bother anyone else how dawg fans on the 247 board (and maybe on here, haven’t checked) refer to Florida as the “Gayturds”? It’s just a very lame insult - not clever or really even funny, it’s like something a child would come up with. I don’t even care that it mildly homophobic, it’s just really dumb, and I hate Florida as much as anyone.

    Yeah, and it’s equally dumb.

Again, not a political thing, it’s just dumb and it literally makes me cringe every time I see it - but to each their own.

Florida players generally seem entitled as ****, I know a lot of them grew up during the Tebow years, but all of the talk prior to the game last season was hilarious considering how inept that Gator teams was. Now all of the talking this year after a 19 point loss is just absurd - their claim is that they have the better team but they lost because they didn't execute and turned the ball over, well that's part of the game, good teams execute and don't turn the ball over. Ridiculous.
Mullen seems content letting his players do or say whatever they want though, which isn't surprising considering the way he handled his players at State (Jefferey Simmons). I'm just glad that Kirby has put the lid on that kind of nonsense, I'd be seriously annoyed if our players were saying stuff like that after the LSU game.

You can see it in Mullen’s post game presser. He gave no credit to UGA and took a shot at Justin Fields not playing in the game. You can see it in his consistently poor recruiting. You can see it in the fact he was called for unsportsmanlike conduct. The head coach! He got in a shouting match with Derek Mason and nearly egged on a friggin brawl between the two teams when they played Vandy!
He’s a good coach on pure X’s and O’s, a very good offensive mind, but he’s not great and Florida is always going to be “good, not great” while he’s there. Florida fans and players are happy they only lost by 19 this year and that comes from the head man. So many people thought he’d be great at Florida because he had a few good, not great, seasons at Mississippi State. Well. He’s a good, not great, coach. Kirby has proven to be elite already. Mullen will be gone in 3 or 4 years.
