I am interested in Darby as well. I know I wasn't to hype on him early on in the off season, but I've done some research. He played behind TWO first round picks in N'Keal Harry and Brandon Aiyuk, so when you look at the numbers he put up at Arizona State it doesn't look super impressive(note he only played in 2 games last season and 6 year one and 8 year two)
    ASU career numbers:
67 Rec for 1,317 yards with 14 TDs (19.7 yards per rec)
Now you have to understand the ASU offense to get why I am intrigued with Darby.  N'Keal Harry played the X receiver during his time at ASU which is the key receiver in that offense (boom 1st rounder) Harry thrived in that role and when he left Brandon Aiyuk took over the X receiver in 2019(boom 1st rounder). In that 2019 season Darby became the #2 option in the ASU offense and put up 30 rec for 616 yards and 8 tds with an average of 19.9 yards per rec. Now 2020 was suppose to be Darby's year to play the X receiver. He has the tools to be pretty good. He has shown it in high school and college. The thing with Darby is lack of tape. For what its worth ASU believed in him to take the reins of a position that helped propel two receivers into the 1st round.

Ryan is the only player in a long time whose number I'd give serious consideration to truly retiring when he's done.

Remember that time Ryan dressed up in a disguise and worked in the Atlanta Falcons team store?  Maybe he's doing the same to moonlight as a baseball player.

Whether he knew or not is one thing, but still the takeaway here is how badly I think Julio tarnished his reputation. He's always been seen as the ultimate anti-diva, and a total class act.
In 30 seconds he destroyed that, crapped on two NFL teams, and accurately or not changed the perception of what was behind all the times he skipped practice, pulled himself off the field, claimed injury, etc.
To many he went from sitting on a pedestal as an example of what a true professional should look like, to just another AB who did a better job of hiding it from people.

ETA: I'm not saying that is an accurate viewpoint, but it's one many people will now have and it's a bit sad to end his time here like this.

If it’s been brewing for years, as Harry Douglas claims, then I think it’s something that revolves around his relationship with Arthur Blank...or he could genuinely be disgruntled with Matt Ryan (maybe there are people in his ear saying Matt sucks and he needs to get out of there).
If it’s recent then I believe it has to do with the take no BS approach that Arthur Smith and Fontenot have integrated since coming aboard.  I think we can all agree that Julio has had it made in the shade since being a Falcon.  He is able to miss practices, take plays off whenever he pleases, and do most of everything on his terms.  That’s not flying with TF and AS.

They still aren't actively shopping Julio. They said they will take the calls more seriously since he has requested a trade. Now you are totally speculating if they asked him for a pay cut. Maybe you should ask 'em.
This right here. I made a thread about how butt hurt I'd be if was gone. But I got to thinking. Our front office has done just about everything he has asked of them. To me he is looking more like a diva by the day. We jumped everytime he said jump. Just saying. From the outside looking in- that is what it looks like. IMO!

God, no ****.  I'm pretty disappointed that Julio did what he did honestly.  I think the Falcons organization has been pretty **** accommodating to him.  The more I think about how this went down the angrier I get.

I'm constantly amazed at how a guy like Ryan can learn so many new systems so quickly. And he's done it multiple times.
