  1. Jesus christ, when will people learn the difference between a 3-4 and a 4-3....Merriman is not an OLB in our system, and he can't play DE opposite of Abe....These posts need to end.
  2. Biermann is 265 lbs. Vanden Bosch is listed at 278. If he's low cost, I wouldn't be opposed to a 2 year deal.
  3. I don't mind as long as it's not on SNF/MNF. Seems like the Saints have been drawing the Falcs at home for prime time an awful lot lately, not really cool how unbalanced it's been.
  4. I'd be in favor of bringing in Vanden Bosch. He gives a ton of effort, he'd be a good compliment to JA55, and he's a cheap alternative to Osi/Peppers. I think his effort and intensity would be a boost to our defense, and his production would climb a little bit without facing the double teams he's faced since Haynesworth left.
  5. The one thing I like about Dunlap is his size. I know he'll be able to set the edge opposite of JA55. But his inconsistency is a concern to be sure. Hard to say if he'll give us better production than say, JA98 has been giving us.
  6. None of that makes him an OLB in the NFL. Because he's listed as the top senior LB does not make him an OLB. He can rush the passer? Does his 5.5 career sacks tell you that? And one of his biggest question marks right now is his straight line speed. Everything I've read tells me he's a prototypical 3-4 ILB or 4-3 Mike. Just because you're a Florida fan does not make the guy an OLB prospect on the next level, Some of you guys really need to figure out that not every player can be plugged into our system.
  7. Sounds like it's a good thing for the most part. It's okay though, I really wanted Landry and Dorsey as well, mainly because I'm an LSU fan.
  8. I'm a big fan of Daryl Washington out of TCU, but he may be gone by the 3rd round.
  9. Donte Stallworth will be making the vet minimum, big difference. And you are a stupid for thinking Roddy White isn't as good as Brandon Marshall.
  10. To be truthful, it doesn't matter what either of us think. And for the record, you just said that you care a lot. I believe the phrase you were looking for was "Couldn't care less", because what you just said implies that you do in fact care. However, how does you thinking he can "easily play SLB" translate into Thomas Dimitroff thinking this? Or anybody for that matter? Again, do you have evidence that he can play outside? It's an honest question.
  11. Evidence that he could play SLB? He's almost 260 lbs., and has played the Mike his whole college career. You saying he could easily do it isn't enough to convince me, sorry.
  12. From what I understand he's strictly an MLB prospect. I loved the guy at Florida and think he's gonna be a great player for whoever drafts him, but I can't see him playing on the outside.
  13. It's sad that as soon as I read about Porter being released, my thought was "great now a thread will appear on the Falcons board saying we should sign him" and sure enough, that's what happened. Do people take into account our scheme and roster at all when throwing out names like Antonio Pierce and Joey Porter?
