  1. Look @ the cost difference between moving up for Jordan and moving up for RGIII. Look @ what Dallas paid to move up to take Claiborne compared to RGIII. The player absolutely has a very significant bearing on what a team will ask for compensation wise in a move up.

The RGIII move was a one in a decade move, similar to the draft for Ricky Williams. You don't see those that often to think it is the normal. Notice that both coach immediately were fire after the second year.

  2. Nobody can speculate what it would cost. Cost to move up changes drastically based on the player being traded up for.

I disagree, every year there is a coveted guy! Last year it was Dion Jordan, the only difference is the distant that a team is willing to move. We are only look at 4 spot, the Rams could still potential pick "their guy" and grab additional picks. Luckily for us their are not a lot of teams one player away from being there, and the one player is not a 4-3 DE.

  3. I graduated from Miami. So you could say im something of a die hard. He has been mostly down this year. I dont think he will do anything special at the next level. But he isn't a horrible qb. Just had horrible games. I know what horrible qbs look like. And they dont set ACC passing records or Miami school records

Just found out he had a QBR of 18, horrible is an understatement.

  4. How is it funny?

There is nothing that most if these players have done in college to think they will be better players in the pros. Both Pettigrew and Gresham has at least show that they can consistently be 500-700 yes guy 5 tds. Has any of the players you list had that type of season in college?

  5. Gresham or Pettigrew may be perfect because they are goood blockers, athletic, decent pass catchers. They need a lil tweaking on their route running tho, but they fit Matt Ryan's style.

Those 2 TEs need precision passers to excel based on their size and strength.

Which is what I was thinking, just curious when people shot down and idea if the have a better one.

  6. Brandon Pettigrew is an option. A good player, not great. But he'd be fine. Maybe better here with a much more accurate Ryan

I've been on the sign Pettigrew bandgon for a while. I agree with you that Detroit may not have used him correctly. I also would consider either trading for Gresham or seeing if he will be cut this year.
