  1. All of these players started for the Seahawks 8 or more games and was drafted in the 3rd round or later, my point is the oline seem to be okay.
  2. Top 10 in his position good? He only played 8 games last year? Didn't they have the best record last year? Looks like they did okay with his backup to me?
  3. I personally don't care what round they were drafted in, if you can find me a pro bowl caliber pass rusher in later rounder I am all for it. But truth be told I can find more OT in later rounds that will be successful than you can find pass rushers. Moses, James, Richardson, Thomas, Hurst & Bitonio can all start next year at RT and will be there when we are picking in the 2nd round.
  4. This is such a copy cat league, but remember that was Seahawks first and only championship, I would much rather look at teams like the Steelers, Giants and Patriots. Steelers and Giants always draft defense, Patriots even thou they are an offensive team rarely draft olinemen in the first, they draft in 2-4 and develop. Look at the Brown for the past 5 years they probably had the best oline in the league, but they are now just becoming relevant because of decisions they are making on defense.
  5. Sir maybe you should look deeper in the number, the Raven in the post season lead all teams in sacks and ints so much to the post that they double the 2nd best team in both categories. Remember that they won ever game on the road I think the first team in the modern day era ever to win the SB to do this. Let's look at the games: Colts held to 9 pts on the road Denver put up 35 but won in OT with a int Pats held to 12 pts on the road 49ers put up 30 but obviously won the game with a defensive play in the endzone holding Crabtree. At the end of the day it was their defense why Oher and McKinnie has a ring? Giants held every team they played in the playoffs under 21 points including the best ever offense statistically. Moss who had 20 tds and Brady with 50tds to 17 pts. Saints led the league in turnovers and obviously I don't have to remind you of the play Greer return a int for 6. Dude seriously do you watch football or just the highlights?
  6. But the Seahawks won the because of their defense make no mistake about it, we draft Baker in the first, Blalock and Konz in the second what is the difference? We did sign Carimi who also was a first rounder, hey we have more talent now than either of those other teams did. Using your thought process we should be straight right? It does matter where they were drafted are any of those players you mentioned are in the top 5 or even 10 in their respected position? The answer is no! Ravens - a year removed from the Super Bowl both MiKinnie and Oher are both available maybe we should sign one of them, what do you think?
  7. Let's play a game of name that? Who was the franchise LT for the Giants in 07-08? Who was the franchise LT for the Steelers in 08-09? Who was the franchise LT for the Saints in 09-10? Who was the franchise LT for the Packers in 10-11? Who was the franchise LT for the Giants in 11-12? Who was the franchise LT for the Ravens in 12-13? Who was the franchise LT for the Seahawks in 13-14? Now ask yourself the question where did their defense finish? All of these teams finished in 10 raking for defense most in the top 5. See the correlation?
  8. I think this is where we have to look at the bigger picture, you can't sign someone to a big contract and give up on them the follow year if they have either a bad year or an injury. If you truly believe that then Oakland is looking for fans. We literal handed out a contract to Baker last year and now you want to find his replacement? Trust me I am not the biggest Baker fan but he is here now we might as well make it work. What if we draft a LT and he struggles his first year do we draft or sign another one the following year? You have to know that their are cost associated with replacing the same position every year. You say we disagree on depth on the oline but look at the play of the oline the minute Baker went down. We moved Holmes to the other side and the right side really struggled!!!!!!
  9. 1. We are paying the man $8 million might as well let him earn it. When healthy Baker is a pretty decent tackle. Our problem on the OL sir is depth not starting talent. The problem with the DL is starting talent with too much depth. Since 2008 our best DL has been a slightly above average DE who has never dominated a big game. We as a team during the same time frame have never finished the year in the top have of the league in sacks or pressuring the QB. Since that time five defensive teams have won the the big game. 2. Obviously the people making the decisions thinks he is $20 million times better if not they would not have cut the starting RG and sign this one for all that money. He was our last option he was the first. Not sure if you recall the Bears in 2012 had the very same problem with protection. What the do draft a RG late in the first, drafted a 5th round RT and sign a average LT. Result Bears line vastly improved 2013. We signed a pretty decent RG, we have the ability draft a pretty decent tackle in round 2 ( Moses, Richardson & James) just to name a few to play RT. We have a seasoned starter in Baker and a up and coming talent in Holmes who is better suited for LT than RT. Not to mention Holnes who had the second most snaps last year should be much more improved.
  10. At this point who cares, we will have a chance to pick either Robinson, Mack or Clowney. Either of these players will greatly improve our team! Let's just celebrate that!
  11. Mack only 23 I guess we can scratch him off the list too!!! Lol
  12. In a bench press competition???? It almost like a 40 yard race for Olinemen it sounds great but how often will they be run 40 yard sprints in a game?
  13. Well looking at it from the brighter side at least we can scratch the Raiders off the list for drafting Clowney!!!
  14. Add Greg Hardy to the list of only putting up 21 bench press
  15. Well looks like we might have the #1 overall if this keeps up. Jags and Bucs are leading.
