Does Anyone Think Ryan Won't Get To 40 Td's
War Damn Eagle replied to THE ICEMAN's topic in Talk About the Falcons
If he doesn't he'll be **** close. We've got a touch stretch coming up over the next month and should give us a clearer picture of where the team really is. For some reason, we've never been able to beat the NFC East. -
I'm Feeling Real Good About This Nolan Defense
War Damn Eagle replied to Theyhateme : )'s topic in Talk About the Falcons
It's pretty obvious to me that he's gotten a lot more production with pretty much the same personnel. I would love to see what Grimes could do, but I'm loving the physicality of our secondary right now so I hope it continues. One thing I haven't heard here is how bad we're missing Lofton. Dent may have some talent but he is definitely struggling with gap assignment and overpursuing. -
Thinking Back On Years Past And Enjoying This Season
War Damn Eagle replied to fansince78's topic in Talk About the Falcons
I do a lot of work in the Green Bay area and always sport my Falcons jacket.. you'd think as good as Green Bay was the last couple of years that no one would care.. but they couldn't help themselves and now I'm giving it back to 'em... feels good to be a Falcon fan! -
Should the NFC West champion get to host a playoff game?
War Damn Eagle replied to Big Bubba's topic in Around the NFL
No, it would be different if they dominated a truly ****** divivision but they didn't. Should make them travel. -
It'll be interesting to see the "experts" take on the Jets after this beatin tonight. People forget how hard it is to beat a good team on the road.
-
How about the Jets +13?
-
The dude from Entourage will get exposed tonight. Any takers?

The 4th down play was not a catch. The one on the goal line could've arguably been called a TD.

The Bucs are definitely better than I expected, but don't be a *****'. It's easy to come here and talk sh** when you're not expected to win. Honestly though, I think the Bucs on the road are tougher for us than the Saints at home. Everyone is chalking this up as a win, but not me. I won't be happy about it, but I think 1-1 in those two games gets us HFA. That's all that really matters at this point.

Brent Grimes is not starting material
War Damn Eagle replied to Peyton's topic in Talk About the Falcons
I KNOW he is starting material on THIS team. He should be the least of anyone's concerns right now. We probably have 7-8 starters that wouldn't start on the majority of teams out there. Most teams in year 3 of a rebuild do. IMO, 3 of our 5 starting O-linemen fit that statement. You want to point fingers, watch the games. -
It's not Murlarkey or Ryan; Its the ...
War Damn Eagle replied to Aria7's topic in Talk About the Falcons
Pretty fair assessment, but it amazes me how people are just now getting upset. This offense has been pretty dismal for 2 years now. -
What Jerome Bettis thinks about the NFC.
War Damn Eagle replied to Abe's topic in Talk About the Falcons
Until this team starts imposing their will on the other team, I agree. They are not good enough to beat the best teams with their current offensive philosophy. They HAVE the potential, but it isn't being properly utilized. Blame the coaches, not Bettis. -
1. Mike Mularkey - IMHO, our offensive (pun intended)gameplan is to put a square peg into a round hole. If he were the coordinator for the Jets, they'd be pretty damned good. We do not have that offensive line and we actually do have a QB and receiving threats. People are constantly questioning him about not ATTACKING the defense and I haven't heard a good explanation yet why we continue to run out routes for 3 yds. It's pretty embarassing. I will say this - If Matt Ryan or Michael Turner or anyone else on the freakin' offense isn't doing what you have asked, DO YOUR JOB AND TAKE CARE OF

Why 2010 means nothing to the Atlanta Falcons
War Damn Eagle replied to Bucboy's topic in Talk About the Falcons
Great effort but you still have a QB that couldn't even beat KANSAS. When that changes, come back to talk. -
Here's the Deal: is it the Oline, Turner or Ryan?
War Damn Eagle replied to MSalmon's topic in Talk About the Falcons
While Turner did not look good, Snelling had the biggest hole of the day (to the left side of the line) and made a right turn right into a tackler. I have no idea what he was thinking. IMO, Mularkey should be coaching an SEC team rather than an NFL team. Apparently, he is used to having bigger, stronger guys who are able to beat their man one on one. We do not have that type of personnel. -
Lofton, without question. Give Spoon a year or two and those guys will DOMINATE.

Cardinals at Falcons: 3 key matchups
War Damn Eagle replied to falcon057's topic in Talk About the Falcons
It's pretty sad that we have a losing record against the freakin' Cardinals. Do we have a winning record against ANY team????? -
I believe that Mularkey is used to just being able to hand the ball off and be successful. I'm sick and tired of seeing up the middle for nothing, then a sideline route for 3 yards. It sickens me to watch this offense, especially after watching some real offenses on Sunday. We don't have the personnel to line up and smash the defense off the ball for 5 yards. They're not really giving Ryan a chance to be successful. They're only preventing him from totally losing the game himself. These guys have way to0 much talent to look this predictable. I listened to the game on the radio yesterday

My Biggest Concerns for the Steelers game...
War Damn Eagle replied to MagnusXXIII's topic in Talk About the Falcons
Sometimes it sucks to be right. Everyone's been worried about the defense but has given the offense a pass. We should be modeling ourselves after the Champs, the Saints. They impose their will on the defense. We try to "steal" every 3 yards we can get. This team can beat most teams with this method but not the good ones. Embarassing offense performance in my opinion. For those who want to blame the kicker, keep preaching. This loss was not his fault.
