  1. I have to agree with you on every point. Honestly I really wanted help on the lines this off season a good tackle on O and a big body on the D line. I think Babs gets pretty good penetration from the inside mostly. So I was pessimistic coming into this game thinking we are looking at a 9-7 or 10-6 win season.

This game was heart breaking as any game we loose to the Aints is. But even in the loss I felt better coming out of this game than I felt going into it.

The line is O-line is horrid as many worried. I never was sold on Baker he has had one descent season since being drafted. The right side is a complete overhaul. Really wished we would have popped for a vet here.

The pleasant surprise was the defense! The rooks looked good in coverage mostly. Our D-line wasn't bad and got some push and pressure. I know Nolan knows 20 times more than I do about defense. But can someone explain to me why we are using DE's to cover a very athletic TE? I love the Beer-man but I don't want to see him drop into the secondary on an obvious passing down to bring secondary pressure in his place. We should have learned from the final 2 games and the playoffs last year not to leave a DE or slower LB on the TE across the middle we got eat up with that last year!!!

  2. If you haven't yet, please YouTube "Joe Buck Artie Lange". You won't regret it. Basically, Buck got an HBO talk show (that lasted 3 episodes before cancellation), and Howard Stern sidekick Artie Lange absolutely destroys him. Greatest thing ever.

I just logged on to say salute Monoxide that was some of the funniest stuff ever. He chewed Buck up and spit him out.

  3. I didnt really see it like this GG. Pretty sure they told our front 7 to play contain and thats what they did. I will agree that after Abe left nobody was shedding blocks but they probably had contain in mind also. I feel like our safties letting the TE run open in the soft middle of the D killed us. C4 wont be rusty next week he has missed a few games with injury and needed to get back to game speed. I expect he will be next week. And that DeCoud will have settled down as well.

  4. I cant think of anyone who has given as much heart and soul to this team as you Tandy the tie's that bind your love of this team and your family is like no other. Through all of your tragidies and triumphs your love and devotion for family and team has been unwavering. And you touch more people than you can possibly know we all share in those triumphs and tragidies, certainly not to the depth's you do but we feel you and look to you for inspiration and offer our heartfelt sympathies.

I was also beyong devastated and how our team feel so flat after soaring so high. I had put so much into this season and into this game as it approached. It was nothing short of embaressing to see our Falcons just seemingly give up. It is still hard for me today to truly appreciate the season simply because they lack of effort put forth in one game. But I have been a fan for all of my 36 years and wont stop now. I havent even been able to watch any other playoff games dont care about the Superbowl now and I am considering cancelling going to the Superbowl party I was invited to. If it isnt the Falcons I just dont see the point I was so sure this was our year. That aside I will most certainly be back next year cheering our beloved birds.

Of course all that pales in comparison to your emotional investment and I will continue to pray for your strength and your nephews health. Stay strong
