  1. You don't know any more than anyone else. Quit pretending like you do. If Dorsey's leg proves to be problematic and/or he becomes just an okay NFL player how does your forecast look then?...(and I wanted Dorsey, so don't try to paint me with whatever brush I'm sure you have at the ready....). I don't have a crystal ball. Neither do you or anyone else who frequents this MB. it doesn't take a crystal ball to analyze talent buddy. i have the ability to analyze players and project what they will be like as pros. 99% of the time i'm right. and please stop trying to play the injury card. first of all, anybody can get injured, second of all, none of dorsey's injuries were major, and he never missed a game at lsu due to this supposed injury.
  2. No child left behind not working too well I see. buddy, your 5th grade style of humor isn't getting it done. what's next your mama jokes? Well my "5th grade humor" got me a VP job in a fortune 500 company. How you doin? actually, while your sucking corporate #####, i have my own business, i which i work about a half an hour a day, and make about double what you make while busting your scrony little ##### all day. thats how im doin
  3. ok, then name a QB that is worth it coming out next year or the year after next. yeah that's right, not one!wow, that thought process is so dumb. so let me ask you this, if someone asked you at this times last year if he falcons should take matt ryan with a top 5 pick, what would you say? exactly, that's why you don't think like that this early. also, if tebow comes out, he's the #1 pick in the draft hands down. nevermind his running ability, he's actually got a ton of potential, and talent as a passer. i'm very frustrated that we didn't take dorsey this year and wait until next year, or even the 3rd season of rebuilding mode to take a qb. again, redman is a perfectly capable qb who would have done just fine this season. he is good enough not to impede the progress of the players around him, which is good enough while rebuilding. and again, we gave up way to much to move up and get baker, a 2nd rnder anyways, because we were desperate to protect ryan. why is that that all of the sudden, the falcons realize the o-line absolutely sucks? i mean seriously, this past season, there was only one player, blaylcock on the entire o-line that should be there when they are done rebuilding. again, my disciples, completely rebuilding takes 3 years. in that process, in the draft, you should absolutely take the best players available at positions in which you need a starting caliber player, or a position in which you know the rookie you are drafting will replace the current starter within the 3 year period that the rebuilding is takig place. the thing is, we could have taken either a qb or an ot with our top 5 pick next year, which is inevitable, whichever position the best player available played. tebow would have been great here, and there has to be an ot comig out of next years draft that is worthy of a top 5 pick, there always is. dorsey would have been the perfect franchise defensive player to start our rebuilding with, but we screwed it up.
  4. No child left behind not working too well I see. buddy, your 5th grade style of humor isn't getting it done. what's next your mama jokes?
  5. You're just jealous because your boy DJ is playing for the league min and the white boy is making 72M. Get a grip dude, he was the number 1 QB on everyone's draft board. I doubt you do but I hope you have the balls to stick around for a couple years. wow dude you are absolutely pathetic. but i think you already know that already.
  6. it happens all the time with rookie qbs. defenses play vanilla every down not wanting to give away anything, and rookie qbs tear it up, resulting in all sorts of ridiculous comments, like when ryan leaf came in and tore it up in pre-season. the fact is i won't blame ryan at all if he comes in and sucks this year. but nex year he better be playing at a pro-bowl level to prove himself not only wothy of the #3 pick, but worth that ridiculous contract. also, i find it funny, no not funny, actually i find it pathetic, and predictable that no one seems to have a problem with ryan getting paid pretty much the same as what vick wa getting payed after leading us to an nfc championship, beating green bay at lambue, making numerous pro-bowls and having about a 75% winning % as a 24 year old. you people are a joke and know absolutely nothing about football
  7. the falcons absolutely should have taken glen dorsey, a gift they had drop into thier hands and they didn't even take advantage of it. they needed a dt even more than they needed a qb. while qb is a more valuable position than dt, dorsey is better enough at his position to the point that even though qb is more valuable than dt, he is still more valuable than ryan. redman is a perfectly capable qb, who will definitely be better than ryan atleast this season. he is about a 78 out of 100 as a qb. while ryan is a surefire pick as far as a guy that you know will be a starter in the nfl and a perfectly capable qb for the next 12-15 years. however, you don't take capable players over great ones, and dorsey is a surefire great player. while ryan wil max out at about an 85 as an nfl qb, dorsey has the potential and the talent to be one of the greatest dts of all time. he is easily the best dt to come out of the draft since warren sapp, without the baggage that sapp came into the nfl with. in fact, he will most likely be a better overall dt than sapp because he is coming into the nfl as a much, much better run stopper tha sapp was. dorsey will come into the nfl at about an 88, be playing at the level of about a 92 by the middle of the season, and starting next season will be about a 97-99 overall, the leader of the chiefs defense for the next 12-15 years,(should have been the leader of the falcons d) and probably make the pro-bowl and first team all nfl every season in the nfl except for his rookie one. matt ryan will be pretty much just like matt hasselback, and i'm not just saying that because they both went to b.c., in fact i hate when people do that, like when they compare every white wr that comes into the nfl to either ed mccafrey, if he is a possesion wr, or brandon stkely and wes welker if he is a speedy wr. ryan will only be as good as the players around him, and i'm sorry that's not the type of player that you draft at #3, especially when there's a guy like dorsey available. i honestly think that if most people on these boards actually saw dorsey play even one entire game, that they'd be flipping and freaking out right now just like i am about how badly they screwed up in this draft. now, consider the fact that not only did they screw up horrendously by taking ryan over dorsey, but they also had to trade away 2 starting caliber draft picks to move up and take baker, an absolute reach that high, because they were desperate to protect ryan knowing thier o-line was atrocious.(gee wonder why they never felt that urgency when vick was there) what they should have done is trade up to get albert, who will be by far the best ot to come out of this draft, especially in pass pro. they probably could have done it using the samne picks they did for baker add maybe a 4 rnder. but if your going to trade up to get a player, get a stud, not someone who was slated to go in the 2nd rnd anyway. and don't come at me with this ohh the texans drafted duane brown... blah blah. first of all, brown is one of the best athletes you will see at ot in the history of the nfl, that is still strong enough to handle the bull rush from even the biggest dends in the nfl, and fits perfectly into the cut block scheme they have i houston bnecause of his athleticism. the texans even said they would have taken brown over baker if he was there at 26. they were very, very high on brown. dorsey could have bben the3 leader of our d for the falcons for the next 15 years. we would have gotten the privelege to watch a player come into the nfl and go through his entire hall of fame career, and watch him play at that hall of fame level all those years. now we get to watch some geek suck for atleast the next 2 seasons, while being all corny and trying to lead players who won't respect him until he plays at a high level, or should i say if he plays at a high level. and, sorry to break it to you fellas, but i foresee a definte struggle early in his career, along with some qb controversy that i dont think he has the mental make up to fight through.
  8. wow, robb, how many times are you going to post the same, baseless, useless, false, garbabge? you act like you didnt even read my post and skipped over it and just starting writing yours. if you read my post, then refute ral factual points that i make. nobody cares about your opinion. i love how you say "vicks record his last two seasons was 15-16 like your making a point. your a joke. yeah he was 15-16 on a team that should have been 6-26, and would have been with any other qb in the nfl. why dont you go back, read my post, and make real pionts that actually matter. what is your comeback for things i said, i already shat all over the baseless remarks you try to make here. oh, and by the way, vick won over 60% of the games i which he started since becoming the starter in his second season. so your 15-16 remark is pathetic. add the fact that anybody who even knows a little bit about football would have known how bad the falcons sucked without him, and you have proof right in front of you, like 2003, and still can't see it, it's pathetic, and you are sad.
  9. wow are you dumb. first of all the falcons beat tampa more than they ost to them in gmaes vick started. second of all, if you had any clue as to what you were talking about, you'd know the falcons torched tampa bay tyhe last couple of times they played them on offense. even having a game in which they ran for more than 300 yds!!!! you have absolutely no clue what your talking about.
  10. VICK WAS GOOD AT THE "HEAD PART OF THE GAME". HE BARELY EVER THREW INTS, WHICH IS ALL THAT MATTERS, AND EVEN WITH ABSOLUTELY PUTRID WRS AND PASS PRO, STILL BROKE RECORDS AND PUT UP VERY GOOD NUMBERS, WHILE CARRYING TEAMS ON HIS BACK LIKE NO ONE HAS EVER SEEN BEFORE.
  11. ABSOLUTELY FALSE, IN EVERY SINGLE WAY. FIRST OF ALL, VICK HAD TONS OF GAME WINNING DRIVES(MINNESOTA GAME, CAROLINA "KNEE" GAME. SECOND OF ALL, IF YOU READ AND COMPREHENDED, KEY WORD BEING COMPREHENDED, MY PREVIOUS POST, YOU WOULD KNOW THAT I ALREADY TORCHED PEOPLE LIKE YOU WHO TRY TO LOOK AT STATS AND PRETEND YOU CAN ANALYZE THE GAME, AND DUNN AND DUCKET'S STATS WERE THE RESULT OF TEAMS OVERPLAYING VICK. RODDY WHITE'S NUMBERS WERE AUTOMATICALLY GOING TO GO UP, AS WERE THE REST OF THE WR'S STATS, BECAUSE THE PASS ATTEMPTS WERE GOING TO GO WAY UP. VICK GAVE TEAMS THE LUXURY, YES, LUXURY, OF BEING ABLE TO JUST RUN THE BALL IN DIFFERENT DIRECTIONS AND BE ABLE TO MOVE THE BALL ON THE GROUND CONSISTENTLY, AND BEING ABLE TO TAKE OFF AND RUN FOR THE 1ST DOWN WHEN NO WRS WERE OPEN, AND OTHER QBS WOULD HAVE TO FORCE THE BALL, WITH A RESULT OF A OSSIBLE INT. LOOK AT VICK'S INTS THROUGHOUT HIS CAREER, AND YOU HAVE TO UNDERSTAND THAT BEING ABLE TO RUN FOR 1ST DOWN ON 3RD AND LONGS CUT THE INTS IN HALF RIGHT OFF THE BAT. ALSO, RODDY WHITE FLAT OUT SUCKED DURING VICK'S TENURE, AND HE'LL BE THE 1ST ONE TO ADMIT IT. DROPPING PASSES IS PLAIN INEXCUSABLE, HE DROPPED A TON, INCLUDING A BUNCH OF TDS. HOW COULD YOU POSSIBLY TRY TO IMPLY THAT VICK WAS THE DOWNFALL OF A GUY WHO EVERYBODY KNEW JUST DIDN'T GET OPEN, AND DROPPED TOO MANY PASSES WHEN HE DID?
  12. PAID TOO MUCH??!! ARE YOU OUT OF YOUR MIND?? FIRST OF ALL HEOLD OUT EVERY SINGLE GAME HE PLAYED, AUTOMATICALLY MAKING HIM MORE THAN WORTH THE MONEY. SECOND OF ALL, HE GOT PAID THE SAME AS MANNING, WHO HE WAS MORE VALUABLE THAN, YOUNGER THAN, AND DREW MORE MONEY THAN. IF THE FALCONS DIDN'T RE-SIGN HIM EARLY, WHAT DO YOU THINK OTHER TEAMS WOULD HAVE OFFERED A 24 YEAR OLD QB WHO WAS WINNING 75% OF THE GAMES HE STARTED, AND SELLING OUT EVERY SINGLE GAME, AND NOT JUST SELLING OUT THE GAMES, BUT ACTUALLY RAISING THE TICKET PRICES THEMSELVES BY A VERY SIGNIFICANT AMOUNT. WHAT DO YOU THINK AL DAVIS WOULD HAVE OFFERED HIM???!!! TO SAY HE GOT PAID TOO MUCH IS RIDICULOUS AND SHOWS A VERY, VERY LOW FOOTBALL IQ.
  13. VICK WAS BY FAR AND AWAY THE MOST VALUABLE PLAYER YOU WILL EVER SEE ON A FOOTBALL FIELD. THE AUTOMATIC ADVANTAGES THAT HE GAVE WHATEVER TEAM HE PLAYED FOR LITERALLY EVERY GAME OF EVERY SEASON WILL NEVER, EVER BE SEEN AGAIN. TEAMS COMPLETELY OVERPLAYED HIM ON ALMOST EVERY PLAY, RESULTING IN EITHER WRS BEING SINGLE COVERED THROUGHOUT THE ENTIRE GAME ON ALMOST EVERY PLAY, EVEN BY THE MOST MEDIOCRE OF CBS, OR GAPING HOLES THE SIZE OF MY KITCHEN THAT EVEN I COULD HAVE RAN THROUGH BECAUSE PEOPLE WERE TOO BUSY CHASING VICK BOOTLEGGING TO TACKLE THE RB WITH THE BALL. DENDS WERENT ALLOWED TO CRASH INSIDE TO STOP THE RUN OUT OF FEAR OF VICK BOOTLEGGING OUTSIDE. MLBS AND SAFETIES COULDN'T HELP UNDERNEATH, OR OVER THE TOP ON WRS BECAUSE THEY WERE ASSIGNED AS SPIES TO VICK. I'VE SEEN SOME PEOPLE TRYING TO SAY THINGS LIKE "ONCE TEAMS FIGURED VICK OUT THEY WERE ABLE TO STOP HIM" WHICH IS COMPLETE BS. TEAMS DIDN'T FIGURE VICK OUT, THEY FIGURED OUT THAT THE REST OF THE PLAYERS ON OFFENSE ABSOLUTELY SUCKED. THEY STARTED SINGLE COVERING THE WRS ON EVERY SINGLE PLAY, ALLOWING THE SAFETIES TO HELP AGAINST THE RUN, AND TO SPY ON VICK, AND THE WRS STILL COULDN'T GET OPEN, WHICH IS ABSOLUTELY PATHETIC. VICK HAD THE WORST WR CORPS IN THE NFL LITERALLY EVERY SINGLE SEASON HE HAD AS A STARTER. DO YOU REALIZE THAT IN THE NFL, IF A WR IS SINGLE COVERED, THE QB IS TOLD TO THROW HIM THE BALL, HE'S CONSIDERED OPEN, AND SHOULD TOAST THE GUY ON HIM. WELL, THAT WASN'T THE CASE IN ATLANTA, IN FACT EVEN WHEN THE WRS DID FINALLY GET OPEN, THEY DROPPED THE **** BALL. ANALYSTS WOULD ALWAYS SAY BEFORE THE GAME STARTED "VICK JUST HAS TO WORK ON HIS PASSING/DEVELOP AS A PASSER, AND THEN BY THE SECOND QUARTER THEY'D SAY "MAN THERE'S JUST NOBODY OPEN. I'D RUN TOO" OR ON A PLAY WHERE HE ACTUALLY HAD SOME TIME TO THROW, AND HE DIDNT THROW, AND DECIDED TO TAKE OFF, BEFORE THE REPLAY THE ANALYSTS WOULD SAY "WELL THERE HAD TO BE SOMEONE OPEN THERE" AND THEN WHEN THE REPLAY CAME ON "NOPE, NOBODY TO THROW TO". IF YOU THE FACT THAT VICK HAD BY FAR THE WORST WR CORPS IN THE NFL EVERY YEAR HE PLAYED, ALONG WITH THE WORST PASS PRO O-LINE IN THE NFL MOST OF THE SEASONS HE PLAYED, AND LOOK AT HIS OVERALL STATS, THEY ARE ACTUALLY VERY, VERY IMPRESSIVE. HE HAS SEVERAL RECORDS, NEVER THREW MORE INTS THAN TDS I A SEASON EVEN THOUGH HE CAME INTO THE LEAGUE VERY YOUNG AND STARTED WHEN HE WAS 21. IF YOU PUT ANY OTHER QB IN THE NFL, INCLUDING BRADY AND MANNING O THE FALCONS THROUGHOUT THE TIME VICK WAS THERE, THEY'D NEVER MAKE ITH THROUGH A SEASON WITHOUT AN INJURY. ALSO, THEY'D THROW TWICE AS MANY INTS AS THEY DO WITH THIER TEMA NOW, AND HALF THE TDS. THINK ABOUT IT, MANNING LOST HARRISON FOR A COUPLE OF GAMES, AND HIS QB RATING WAS HORRENDOUS. EVEN WITH EITHER THE BEST OR 2ND BEST PASS PRO, AND WAYNE, GONALEZ AND THAT SYSTEM. IMAGINE IF HE HAD TO GO THROUGH WHAT VICK WENT THROUGH, HE'D SUCK, .ABSOLUTELY SUCK IF HE PLAYED ON THOSE TEAMS BRADY THREW TWICE AS MANY TDS THIS SEASON AS HE DID WITHOUT MOSS. THOUGH BRADY WOULDN'T SUCK NEARLY AS MUCH AS MANNING WOULD IF HE PLAYED FOR THE TEAMS VICK PLAYED WITH ON THE FALCONS, HE'D STILL HAVE WAY WORSE STATS, AND DEFINTELY WOULDN'T HAVE ANY SUPERBOWLS, THAT'S FOR SURE. I LOVE WHEN PEOPLE TRY TO SAY THINGS LIKE "HE'S WON 3 SUPERBOWLS" WHEN I COMPARE VICK TO BRADY. YOU KNOW WHAT I'D SAY "WELL HOW MANY SUPERBOWLS WOULD HE HAVE IF HE PLAYED FOR TYHE FALCONS THE LAST 6-7 YEARS?" THEN I SAY "YOU THINK VICK MIGHT HAVE A SUPERBOWL OR TWO IF HE PLAYED FOR THE PATRIOTS INSTEAD OF THE FALCONS"DO YOU REALIZE VICK WON OVER 60% OF THE GAMES HE STARTED, AND FINISHED,(THEY SUCKED SO BAD THEY BLEW THE LEADS HE CAME OUT OF GAMES WITH ALMOST EVERY TIME) SINCE BECOMING THE STARTER IN HIS 2ND SEASON? THERE WAS ACTUALLY A POINT WHEN HE WAS WINNING 75% OF HIS GAMES, AND I WOULD STILL SEE PEOPLE ON HERE DOUBTING HIM, WHICH SHOWS RIGHT THERE, YOU MOST OF YOU EITHER KNOW NOTHING ABOUT FOOTBALL, OR HAVE AN AGENDA. EITHER WAY IT'S PATHETIC THAT YOU PEOPLE COULDN'T EVEN SEE THE GREATNESS THAT WAS RIHT IN FRONTY OF YOU. DO YOU KNOW IF HE COMPLETED 1 MORE PASS OUT OF EVERY 10 ATTEMPTS HE HAD THROUGHOUT HIS CAREER HIS QB RATING WOULD HAVE GONE UP ABOUT 10 POINTS? DO YOU REALIZE THAT IF HE THREW 1 MORE TD EVERY 3 GAMES HE PLAYED IN HIS CAREER, IT WOULD HAVE GONE UP ABUT 15 POINTS? NOW GO AHEAD AND TRY TO TELL ME, OR TELL, OR SHOULD I SAY, CONVINCE YOURSELF THAT HE WOULDN'T HAVE BEEN AT LEAST THAT MUCH IMPROVED IF HE HAD PLAYED FOR AN EVEN GOOD TEAM, NEVERMIND A TEAM LIKE THE COLTS OR THE PATRIOTS. THERE IS A REASON WHY THE FALCONS WON LESS THAN 15% OF THE GAMES IN WHICH HE DIDN'T START OVER THE SAME TIME SPAN THAT THEY WON OVER 60% OF THE GAMES HE DID START. IT'S CALLED HE WAS THE ENTIRE ******** TEAM!!!!!!! AND A ONE MAN TEAM GOING TO THE PLAYOFFS, AND ALMOST GETTING TO THE SUPERBOWL IN THE NFL IS UNHERAD OF!!!!!!!!!! UNFRIGGIN HEARD OF AND YOU GUYS HAVE SUCH AN AGENDA THAT YOU STILL HATE HIM. YOU STIL DON'T APPRECIATE WHAT HE DID. HE CARRIED THE MOST PATHETIC ******** TEAMS YOU WILL EVER SEE INTO THE FRIGGIN PLAYOFFS AND ALMOST TO THRE FRIGGIN SUPERBOWL!!!!! GIVE HIM HIS DUE RESPECT AS A PLAYER. YOU WANT TO TALK ##### ABOUT HIM FOR BEING DUM OFF THE FIELD THATS FINE. BUT DONT EVER TRY TO DENY OR CONVINCE YOURSELF THAT HE ISN'T THE MOST VALUABLE PLAYER, AND BEST FALCONS PLAYER YOU HAVE EVER SEEN, AND WILL EVER SEE!!!!!!!
  14. ACTUALLY, IT'S A FACT THAT RUSHING YARDS ARE MORE VALUABLE THAN PAAING YARD.
