  1. Why do you think Quinn hasn't had a much success with the dline compared to Seattle?
  2. So if he is bad at seeing the edge as a defensive end, doesn't him moving to OLB also require him to also set the edge? Won't that also mean he will have to occasionally play coverage? Do you think he has the athletic profile to make that kind of transition? I don't know much about the guy.
  3. I'm so confused. Isn't SAM the same as the OLB position that Devondre and now Mykal walker was drafted for? If not what's the difference?
  4. Is he an excellent blocker that can fill the Luke Stocker role?
  5. Hey Kayoh, What's your evaluation of Marlon Davidson? Does he grade well in your formula? And at which position DE or DT?
  6. I'm just afraid of the transition similar to when we let Todd McClure go before confirming Peter Konz was the person for the job. I hate that TD puts us in this position too often when it comes to the trenches. I would like to extend Mack for 2 more years so he can honestly battle for the spot his second year. That way we know what we have in case we need to go the FA route again. Now all our hopes are pinned on the unknown without room for error.
  7. I'm surprised Teddy Bridgewater is getting ignored. Lol
  8. So there is no such thing as physical superiority with a average brain? Ben Roethlisberger, Pat Mahommes, DeShaun Watson? I like how you guys use extremes to prop Ryan. I don't think anyone is saying he sucks. Just that this area of his game is a weakness. I wish he had a coordinator that excel in intermediate and short passing game. Shanahan was the only coordinator he ever had that was perfect for Ryan. I can't imagine what Julio numbers would look like with Big Ben and Pat. QBs that can get the most out of his talents.
  9. I agree and also like him as the 3rd and long strong safety. I thought him taking over for keanu was really impactful. I think his limited range worked better for him covering half of the field or less and allowed him to make more plays on the ball than at single high. We definitely need a true free safety moving forward. I really don't know what kazee is honestly. Maybe he puts it all together next year because he has gone from Manuel to Raheem Morris and that secondary coach that resigned. I'm not sure he has had time to get settled in to a real role. Hopefully Morris can help him put
  10. Now im wishing we could have been the ones that had traded for Calais Campbell instead. We would have been set with him and Fowler on our team now. Now this puts even more pressure on TD to be near perfect in the draft.
  11. I wholeheartedly agree. I am hoping for this. It will be a nightmare to pair him with Jarrett. God I hope this happens.
  12. Are there any dline you like in FA. I am a huge fan of Calais Campbell. I think him next to Grady will be more terrifying for our defense in the sense that it will make Takk and whomever we draft opposite of him look competent.
  13. Which safeties and DL do you have in mind? Do you think we should get our playmakers in FA instead? If so, who would you target? I have a feeling we will at least bring in a high priced defensive FA for the first time.
  14. Lol I like your style. You say so much with so little. Let me rephrase. Which position group, defensively, has the most playmakers in this year's draft?
  15. Who do you consider playmakers in the draft that could bolster the defense?
  16. For the type of cover 2 defense Morris will be deploying, do we still need a true strong safety?
  17. Excellent write up OP! To be honest, I hope we go boom or bust to get Calais Campbell. I wanted him when he was leaving Arizona and still want him now. I think him being paired up with Grady will make Takk adrian Cominsky and whomever we draft look above average. If it means letting Hooper go, im not shedding tears. It's amazing that the staff has been able to get solid results from the defense with the little amount of cap allocated to that side of the ball. When they get their act together they play like a top 5 or top 10 defense. Yet with all the money the offense consumes, with the e
  18. Do you think he has the patience to play single high? I also think raheem Morris taking over the defense, he might prefer having 2 interchangeable safeties instead of strictly a box and free safety like in Dan's regular scheme. I think Rico showed well at strong safety last season. His play recognition is excellent and made more impact there. I don't know what to make of kazee but I think he is a better safety than corner. Who do you think Delpit replaces?
  19. You've been mentioning his name a lot. I don't follow college football much but is the play maker we've been needing at the safety position? In the championship game, the few times I noticed him was closer to the line of scrimmage. Which safety position do you think he is more suited for in our defense?
  20. Thanks. For comparison sakes, would he be a younger version of what we have in Bailey?
  21. What's his strength? What position along the line do you think best uses it? Is he even a fit for what we do defensively?
  22. Sure would have been nice for Shanahan to run the ball to seal the victory in the 4th quarter of the superbowl though. What variables played in to him calling pass plays with an injury riddled offensive line that held up enough to help Matt get us to field goal range few times? Side note: I will welcome Shanahan with open arms without hesitation. Best coordinator Matt has ever had.
  23. Can we get a red zone coordinator for Dirk as well?
  24. Look at the list of incompetent coordinators we've had. Also how many times a season do we see Matt and Julio fail to connect deep? I feel so bad for Julio and Matt wasting their prime years under koetter and sark.
