  1. I've got questions on VB with his hands in the dirt as well, but I guess we'll see. I'm all in favor of BPA if it's Waynes, Scherff, or Cooper. As you said, no need to draft someone who won't impact the team this year like Gregory or Dupree.

I think he will be fine bumping up and down situationally, the guy is strong as an ox ....see no reason he can not handle the bubble responsibility as a LEO until help gets there, but I would be concerned about teams running straight at him like we did Irvin, but he will mostly be in a 3 point on pure passing downs....guy actually was stellar vs the run at Clemson though some claim it was a " weakness "...but yea, he is not Reggie White.....

  2. As much as it sounds like I'm against Gregory I have him number 3 behind Beasley and Fowler. As of right now Gregory lacks technique in his passing rushing which is clearly shows on tape. The reason why I would take Gregory behind those guys is his potenial. Very rarely will you get a chance to draft someone with the athleticism and build he has. Plus watching him play I feel like with some proper coaching he could be beastly. Its just a gut feeling though and I could defiently see why someone wouldn't want him.

His build does not impress me at all ..........

  3. We have no shot at Fowler or Williams, but I could live with Ray or Beasley. If both QB's and both WR's go before us, we should have our pick.

I'm leery of Ray, my position is Beasley or Fowler, if not I hope we look at BPA option.....and VB is the only one of the PRs I would really feel great about at 8 .....don't want to go EDGE just to say we did....

  4. When did I say he doesn't show up against quality competition? Find the quote and post it. What I did say is that Gregory gets dominated on basically every snap against powerful NFL calibre tackles. If you actually watched the game you would know that any time Gregory lined up on Lewan he was handled with ease.

He never heard of garbage sacks..........

  5. So that one game makes him worthy of the 8th pick? And I don't want to hear the argument that he's always double teamed. True impact players find ways to not be taken out of a game. Julio is double and triple teamed game in and game out, yet is never shut out completely the way Gregory gets.

I watched quite a bit of his game tape, guy is a string bean that gets swallowed by big quik tackles, I'm not impressed by him at all. This guy is not near a natural or polished pass rusher, one thing I noticed was Pellini tried to find mismatches for him quite a bit because he was simply stonewalled by the better OTs he faced....hope we pass on him at 8 ....

  6. This guy will probably be an NFL bust and those of you clamoring for us to draft him while leaving the likes of Gurley, Cooper, etc. on the board will be choking on your foolish tears......

Watch his game tape, he is not a very good pass rusher. He has no pass rush moves or bullrush to speak of.. He was not consistently double teamed in college or game planned for, as a matter of fact Pellini had to move him around to find mismatches for him because he could not consistently beat Big Ten OTs.....undersized and doesnt blow you away off the line.....his weed issue just icing on the cake......

Yet some you guys will be " fine " with him........good god man........

  7. lmao you don't want Gurley at #8 but you are spending time making the case for him to be the #8 pick. If you don't want him, you should make that known when you are trying to get whatever it is you are trying to get through others head as you say.

Got no problem taking him at 8 if Beasley and Fowler are gone....I would move down for Dupree, I like him but not at 8 .....thing is I do not think we will find a trade down partner....

I'd be willing to be that your all time favorite players probably did something against the rules to get the advantage one way or another.

    He still sux though......

  8. 1. Dion Jordan is not a bust. He was drafted for a 3-4 defense which the Dolphins stopped using. So right now the Dolphins haven't been using him correctly which was why he was on the trade block last year. They demanded a high price for him because they know how good he is. Lamar Holmes made Dion Jordan look all-world when we played the Dolphins.

    2. Randy Gregory is a lot more like JA55 than JA98. Except that Gregory is a better run defender.

    3. I'm really tired of people s***ing on any of 4 big pass rushers in the draft (Beasley, Fowler, Ray, Gregory). If we get *any* of them are defense gets an upgrade. There will likely only be 1-2 of them available when we pick. So let's take whichever one we can get and be happy. Stop pizzing and moaning!

That is blasphemy .....and Dion Jordan sux, that is why he is PED loser, he is desperate for anything to put him over the top.....

  9. agreed. that is when you know someone(i.e. freebird) has shutoff his mind to Randy Gregory - to say he watched this 15minute vid and "nothing impressed me at all" - shows a level of an unwillingness to be objective and a closed mind.

he's heIl bent on drafting Gurley at 8 when he can easily be acquired while gaining more picks in the process. The same people who ***** and complain about not having a pass rush for years are willing to pass on the chance to get a top pass rusher for a running back in a year the position is deep as shyt. Can't take the people on this website no more serious than the media should be taken.

I'm not a Gurley fan nor do I have anything against him but it's just not worth it at #8. Heck Gregory could probably be had a few spots back as well. Sweet talk Cleveland out of their 2 first rounders and its possible the Falcons could have both.

You know what, Dawg you are right, I have shut my mind to him at #8 because I got a real feeling he is going to be an epic bust.....what I see is Dion Jordan 2.0 and I think NFL OTs and even big strong TEs are going to eat this guys lunch. From what I see this guy is never going to sniff All Pro which is what you want with the #8 pick. He may end up being serviceable no one really knows, but I can just bet what TATF chuckleheads will say when he turns into the next JA98 type bust....

It saddens me that so many of my fellow fans would look at this tape and want THAT for our #8 pick.....sad.png I truly believe KOG may be the only poster on this forum that knows what he is looking at when he breaks down the pass rushers....

And BoiJ, you are dead wrong, I do not even want Gurley with the 8, I am merely trying to smash thru the wall of ignorance that surrounds him on this forum from ignorant chuckleheads that know nothing about him....I want an EDGE menace at 8, but if we are left with the likes of Gregory at 8, then give me Gurley, White, Cooper, Scherf, Landon, ANYONE but this guy.....

Either way, I am keeping my mouth shut till after the draft, I need a serious break from this place, truly I do not derive much pleasure from it anymore, just irritation.....I will see you guys after the draft.....,

  10. It was brought up before about how Gregory was forced to play "tackle reads", and people tried to make it seem like it was because he was just simply bad at getting off. Glad this guy broke it down and explained how Polini was the reason behind that. I hope we take him even before Beasley. The guy is long, and lengthy with a great combo of power and speed. It's a plus playing for a coach like Bo Polini, who as stated in the video is all about playing discipline football. If Quinn pulls the trigger on him, I will be completely sold on us having a championship defense by next year.

    LMFAO.....

  11. The vid is very true, but how many ex football players don't know this? You are a lot like me. You know what you want out of the defense and he is not it. He may actually be effective, but its just not hitting. I know some really love him because he was the top edge rusher for a while and others because of his celebration. I prefer any of the other three if we have to do something, but beasley is more my style of player. Ray would be as well, but that foot injury scares me.

Nothing about that 15 minutes impressed me at all bro....and TATF is now shilling for this guy at 8 ? ......holy fk ......

  12. i have only been stating points in fact. I go to facts and he goes to the internet for gifs. If thats the extent of his debate, so be it.... i have kids at home, i am used to those types of responses

Facts are subjective......what I see are turrible opinions which are like azzholes...congrats on your amazing ability to reproduce, I managed to do that as well a couple times....you still know NOT...

  13. I gotta say that after reading this thread, I need to change my order. Gregory, Fowler and Ray are much better than a situational, short-armed, no run stopping Beasley and I really think that they should all go before 8. I really hate to settle on just having Beasley at 8 but that's just the way it goes sometimes. tongue.png

    Well played sir ! laugh.png

  14. No need to get narky mate. I'm just giving you info on the 4-3 under. Quinn has adapted the 4-3 under to rush the Sam more but it won't change the fact that the Leo predominantly plays from a 3 or 4 point stance. Can't see beasely doing anything more than playing this role on 3rd and long. Well know come week 3 anyway the exact roles of this team.

    WTF ? ......

  15. tjax is not a leo type. Gregory and fowler are both that type. Beasley can rush the passer but not as a DE. Bold print all you like, the fact remains that vic beasley is not a defensive end. Get a clue about actual reality. In your mind you can put a guy in there who can't hold the point.gregory held the point in big time football at his weight. He will only gain weight over time and get stronger and continue to get better. We need a defensive end for the future. And thats exactly what we will get this year with the gregory pick....chances are, he wont be there so we may have to settle for beasley. Either guy is an addition that this team could use. Defensive end would help more in this scheme....if you project that beasley can set the edge aga8nst the run....keep dreaming

Geezus Kriest man, you may be the very dumbest fk in TATF history..........
