  1. D. Orlando seems to think it will all depend on what McKay says about a possible trade-up to get Young, since TD and DQ report to him, now.....remember, the Julio deal was their "baby".
  2. Sort of like the Julio deal. He's saying, there's no money to do much in FA, when it comes to getting a decent DE, and that we should do it through a trade-up in this year's Draft to get Young. If you want to read the entire article, it's on ajc.com, and has the breakdown on how much it could cost us. As bad as I would like to have Young, this just sounds crazy to me --- kinda like the Julio deal did!!! But I guess that's worked out o.k.
  3. Taylor would be a great piece to have, for sure! But with our needs at DE and G, I just don't see us going after Tayor, before he's gone....but that could all depend on what we do in FA ---
  4. Thanks for your opinion --- it's all conjecture at this point, anyway...
  5. He's only a Top 10 according to SI --- pff, drafttek, walterfootball, don't even have him in their top 25...
  6. I feel the same....Takk = Bust!!! I don't claim to be some kind of Soothsayer, but when we drafted him, and he came out all wild-eyed and yelling something about his Grandmother and holding her picture up, I looked at my friend and said, "oh boy, we're screwed"!!! I mean, even Deion Sanders looked shocked and didn't know what to say for a minute...
  7. I would re-sign Hooper, right now, in a heartbeat!!! Whatever it took! Just think about it, every successful NFL team has a great TE, and he's ours....don't let him get away!!!!!
  8. Just don't run the ball EVERY first down ---even my 93 yr. old Mother says, "now, watch 'em run it on 1st down, again"!!! Haha! Throw the ball once in a while on 1st down --- what a concept!!!
  9. Stranger Things Have Happened! But you're probably right, he'll be gone at #16, unless we decide to go up and get him....which is very unlikely, since he's slated to go Top 5 ---- therefore, it would cost us waaay too much to do that! I think we'll go best available DE, then DT (maybe, two of each)...
  10. Right! No way we could afford him. Rather go with the Draft to find a CB. Besides, he seems to be a "legend in his own mind", and probably not worth what it would take to get him. But, somebody will over-pay him, more than likely ---
  11. Yea, it's been quite a spirited debate! But hey, we all love our team and have our own opinion on how they should go about their business, when it comes to The Draft and Free Agency. I think it's a healthy thing, though, and who knows, TD & Coach Quinn just might be peeking in to see what the fans are talking about....we might even give them some good ideas...or, maybe just a big laugh!
  12. Like I said in an edited post above, Walter Football has him going to the Jags at #20. So they value him pretty high. I wouldn't want to spend our 16th on him, but if he slides to our next pick, it might be a good choice...
  13. He's not even on the radar @ Walter Football, at least not in the first round. I think Dee Jay Dallas may be the biggest "sleeper" at RB in this years Draft! His highlight reel sure does look good, too (but don't they all?). The dude is slippery as an eel, and he has great second-effort after contact, not to mention deceptive speed when he gets in the open field! I hope the Falcons keep an eye on this guy, and snag him in one of the mid-to-late rounds, if he's still there!!! Heck, give me that Miami O-line, too ---
  14. Don't know much about the guy, but looks pretty good to me in this highlights video --- but don't they all? Looks like he plays the ball well without getting a penalty, and has got good closing speed to make the open field tackle, too. Honestly, I don't see much not to like! Might consider him in one of the later rounds --- Edit --- Walter Football has him going to the Jags at #20. So they value him pretty high. I wouldn't want to spend our 16th on him, but if he slides to our next pick, it might be a good choice...
  15. There's a reason he's not in the NFL anymore. Not sure why....only rumors....but if they're true, he may get fired from the high school --- lol.
  16. Yep, that's what I would do!!! But, I think he'll be long gone by #16 --- probably, Top 5. It would take a serious trade-up to ever get Okudah, and probably not worth it to get a CB...
  17. I've been working a lot of long hours, lately, and haven't had a lot of time to look at many mock drafts. But after doing some investigating, I see now that Okuda will most likely go Top 5 in this years Draft....which makes Tabeek's Mock saying we could be a player for Okuda at Pick # 16, even MORE ridiculous! That is, unless we do a Julio-type trade up for him, and I don't see us doing that. Matter of fact, if we were going to do that, we might as well go on up and get Chase Young!
  18. Haha! O. K. I can play this game. By who? But really, I've been working a lot of long hours, lately, and haven't had a whole lot of time to look at many mocks, since it's a tad early...
  19. Haha! I doubt it!!! He didn't get "burnt" much, that I saw...
  20. I get it, dude! And I hope you get two of the biggest, baddest DEs & DTs in the draft!!! I'll be jumping-up-and-down-happy for us!!! I just hope Okudah doesn't go to the NFC South! Hahaha!!!
  21. I hear ya', man! I guess we have to leave it up to the "professionals" --- LOL! Is it better to try and get an elite CB, or a couple of DEs and DTs??? I was on the Chase Young band wagon, but saw that was hopeless --- then switched to Okudah, because I thought he might be within reach, and probably the best defensive player at a position-of-need for us....but now, not even sure he'll get past Detroit at #3.
  22. I see what you're saying, man. And yea, we need a DE, and a DT (or two) to wreak havoc on offenses. But I'm thinking a CB like Okudah, could help our Defense almost as much. More than a DE or DT? I don't know the answer to that. Obviously, it would depend on who they are. I do know, we need BOTH!
