You believe the myth I see? Some say his coverage is better than Okudah. Other than the Miami game where does he not tackle?

xSICKxWITHxITx got a reaction from Tim Mazetti in Sheffield and the CB position
NBC Sports' Peter King reports "worst-kept secret in draft rooms around the league: GM Thomas Dimitroff wants to trade up for one of the two top corners in the draft, Jeff Okudah or C.J. Henderson."
The Falcons graded out poorly in DVOA against No. 1 WRs (18th), No. 2 WRs (30th) and Other WRs (28th) in 2019. Long-time No. 1 CB Desmond Trufant is now a member of the Lions. It'd be borderline shocking if the Falcons don't devote an early-round pick to the back half of their defense, regardless of whether or not they ultimately choose to trade up.

xSICKxWITHxITx got a reaction from Tim Mazetti in Sheffield and the CB position
Falcons coach Dan Quinn said he believes Kendall Sheffield can be a No. 1 CB.
Sheffield finished his rookie season as PFF's No. 121 overall CB among 132 qualified players. NBC Sports' Peter King said the worst-kept secret of the draft is the reality that the Falcons want to trade up for one of Jeff Okudah or C.J. Henderson. Either way, this Falcons secondary will again be one for fantasy managers to target in 2020.

If the Pats drafted well  that would make sense.

    They  don't.
Their brilliance is not the draft  but  taking  fledgling Nfl players and making them work in their system.
BB's draft record is actually pretty terrible.

xSICKxWITHxITx got a reaction from The O.D.B in A.J. Terrell
The Athletic's Dane Brugler reports Clemson CB A.J. Terrell is receiving interest from teams with top-16 draft picks.
Brugler notes, "Terrell is going to go higher than most think." Before this nugget, most draft analysts had Terrell as high as pick No. 19 to the Raiders, but it's possible he slides a little higher with teams like the Falcons (No. 16) and Cowboys (No. 17) eyeing the position. Terrell has the length and press-man skills most teams are looking for in a potential No. 1 corner.

xSICKxWITHxITx got a reaction from lju713 in Could Henderson jump Okudah as the 1st CB taken?
Some scouts say Henderson is the better coverage guy. Physicality is the only thing I heard one scout said about Okudah that was better. Saying he liked to go looking for the hit. The scout said Henderson didn’t shy away from it, but didn’t go looking for it. He said Henderson Miami game was the only bad tackling game and you can’t teach that want to.

So I was listening to an interview with former DB Eric Crocker and he said Henderson was the best coverage guy.  He said he could press, play off or whatever you wanted. He also said he wasn't realy concered about his tackling. Eric said he was never going to be like Jeff and go looking for contact, but he said other than the Miami game he didnt see bad tackling. He said and you cant teach that want to.

I dont rember where I saw it, on NFL Live or something. But they showed a CB was more important than a DE. They showed like a S Gilmore was more important that a J Clowney. They showed better/ tighter coverage led to the QB holding onto the ball and allowing the players you do have on the dline get home.

The team should have cut or traded all the talented players, drafted Gurley, signed half the guys in the league with hilarious homespun nicknames, and, I guess, extend James Stone for 150 years.

xSICKxWITHxITx got a reaction from Monolith2001 in John Cominsky and Foye Oluokun
Falcons coach Dan Quinn said DE John Cominsky will have an "increased role" this upcoming season.
The organization traded up to nab Cominsky (6'5/286) with the No. 135 overall pick in last year's draft, failing to find a consistent role for the rookie on 100 empty defensive snaps behind Vic Beasley, Adrian Clayborn, and a handful of other rotational pass rushers. With those two names in particular out the door in free agency, the former Charleston product will undoubtedly have to take on a much larger role across from splash signing Dante Fowler. 2018 sixth-rounder Foye Oluokun is also expected to enter Atlanta's lineup as a first-year starter this upcoming season.
