😬 This is the answer I was afraid of.

I've played both positions.  It is not easy to go from Mike to Will or vice versa.  Might seem easy, but it's a whole different perspective.  Your eyes are in a different place, your read is different.  Definitely takes time, and that's before you get into learning a whole new defense.

Yeah he said he was an athlete, fast etc. and could show his skills this way or something to that nature.

I didn’t say Debo sucks. There are posters stating that Smith sucks, yet say that Jones doesn’t suck. According to PFF Smith is grading higher than Jones. So I’m saying to those people you can’t say that Smith sucks without acknowledging that he’s performing better than Jones.

Jaylon does suck in the passing game. He hasn't looked to good the last couple years. Debo still plays well sometimes then does dumb stuff.

I don't think it has anything to do with the scheme or coaches.  I think he's realized there is a difference between getting open as a #2 and having the weight of it on his shoulders.  I would not be surprised to see him emerge hot over the next couple games.  This is a confidence thing in my dumb opinion.

Julio barely played last year, what do you mean number 2?

    In case anyone was wondering.

Not saying that Debo sucks but you can’t say that Smith sucks comparatively to Jones.

Bottom line is that he’ll be young depth. He has played for a 3-4 system, so there would be some crossover. Low cost prove it contract and we get at least an average talent depth player.

Debo sucks? He hasn't been the player he was, but he doesn't suck. Just hasn't played consistent. Its more the entire team than just a player or 2. Once we start clicking we will be way better this year. Over the next 2 or 3 years though I figure we will see a lot of turnover and even more improvement.

Well if Smith is dog water, I don’t know what Debo is now. Some of you are underestimating how bad Debo has fallen this year. I agree Gilmore is better than TJ green. But will he take a CB2 money? I guess will know when he is healthy enough to pass a physical and sign with a team.

Jaylon Smith has definitely dropped off and that was before this year. He was also getting paid to much.

  6. Number 1 if you listened to the Eagles game the announcers said the Eagles were playing 2 deep safety's to keep from getting beat over the top. Then they would rally to the ball. In the Eagles game you could tell the clock in Matts head was sped up due to how the o-line has played. He was rushed a little even when the line was holding up. I honestly think getting this win and keep gelling we will get better.

I was pounding the table for Fields at 4, but we obviously went with Pitts. I definitely feel that the Ice Man has plenty left in the tank, but the offensive line is one of the worst I’ve ever seen in 23 years of being a fan. I really hope our offense gets it together because that has been our strong point since Matty Ice has been here. Go Falcons! Jack Black Reaction GIF

Why so Fields could look even worse?

Lol, and what team wants Ryan? If we cut Ryan right now..you can believe it or not, no team is going after him just like with Cam..Ryan's best days are behind him..if it wasn't for Blank keeping Ryan as a sacred cow he'd be sitting in a booth working for ESPN..idk why fans think a almost 40 year old qb has any value to any other team..teams have plenty of film on Ryan..you honestly believe any team sees his performance and says that the guy we want?

    Second dumbest post.

Basically, the cupboard is bare.  Anyone we bring in would need a few weeks to get up to speed.  There may be someone that can help at Guard.  Most of these folks look over the hill, or are hurt.

What do people expect out of a rookie RT who was moved to LG and our starting LG got hurt and the rookie then starting against an Eagles D-line? He is going to have to take some lumps to get better. If hes not working out then you look for someone else. Coaches will most likely scheme better to help him out next game.

I just have no clue what the new coaching staff will do this year. We did not see much in preseason. Maybe that was by design. I do know the Mike Smith in drag Dan Quinn is no longer here. Maybe this will mean no more second half melt downs?  Or botched onside kicks.

    It was by design lol.

I watched this last night and i was impressed with dave archer and dj shockley honest candor. Gave our roster a C. Dave agrees the cb group is crazy thin, and o line got problems too. I wish some of the posters were more honest with themselves.

I haven't watched yet, but will. I do not agree with a C though. We have talent and a lot of young talent. They will take some lumps, but that's how a lot get better. We should be fine as long as the new coaching and new schemes are going to be what I think they are. Are we a Super Bowl team? No and I don't think anyone thinks we are. I do think however we are right there at being a playoff team. I can see us winning right around 10 games. I do think we are going to surprise some people.

Our offensive line did pretty well in 2020 considering they had to block for Dirk Koetter's long developing and predictable plays. I think I saw somewhere that Matt Ryan had more time to throw the ball than all the other quarterbacks last year or at least almost all of them.

With Jake Matthews and Chris Lindstrom being very good and Matt Hennessy being trained for a whole year by Alex Mack the line has potential to be very good. We may need to bring in a decent free agent like that guy Baltimore just released but our offensive line should be good if it's coached properly.

O-line should be fine. We have several good starters. I know LG is a concern and C is still somewhat an unknown. Just think what AS did with the Titans O-line. AS knows the weaknesses and can scheme to help that.
