  1. Because telling a man like that isn't enough. Men like that are few and far between today. They've been replaced by snithering wimps like yourself.
  2. I've learned that Matt Ryan is the worst, most noodlearmed QB in NFL history and that he doesn't even measure up to the greatness that was Tony Graziani. Also, I've learned from our friends over in Rivals that if you post in TATF that you must be a clueless, homer moron. But last and most of all, I have learned that I really miss football season more every offseason.
  3. Nah, I think he just stole his little brothers shirt or something
  4. There's no way Goodell doesn't have evidence of the bounties. Why would someone with his intelligence do something that stupid? It just doesn't make sense. Of course he has evidence. He wanted to keep it private for the sake of the league. If this stuff goes to court, it's all going to come out in the open and it's going to get really ugly. I think it might be a sad situation to watch. However, I'll say this. I don't really buy into the audio taping scandel.
  5. This makes me happy. In football, teams are at their best when they are dictating what's going on to their opponents. You can't dictate anything by being reactionary. You do it by attacking. I'm all for it. I agree with PokerSteve, we may take our lumps at it for a few weeks before it really starts to click, but we have some real atheletes on this defense and I think this might take advantage of their abilities.
  6. I've always felt that Moore has the physical tools to be a really great player. I'd love nothing more than to see it come together for him this year.
  7. So, if a DE were to sack Matt Ryan.... would that be dropping a deuce?
  8. There's no doubt that this game has a huge effect of the players health long term. Aside from concussions, the average life span of an NFL player is somewhere around 15 years less than the average man. I've been wrestling with this same moral issue lately and I'm not quite sure how I feel about it. I love this game, probably a little too much. I've been aggravated with the rule changes in the past, but am coming around to them.
  9. Back to the topic at hand. I'm very thankful for our current front office. They are a huge improvement over what we've had throughout our history. If you don't believe me then just read this: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Atlanta_Falcons_draft_history We used to have drafts where we didn't get a single player of value, year after year.
  10. Not that I think this story is true yet, but anything can be hacked
  11. Kewl...now we know why he isn't posting here anymore. Thanks.
  12. I'm thinking there's a lot to this. I think Koetter was brought in for a fresh take on play design, but also to be the kind of guy who will be willing to let MR take control on the field.
  13. My wife won't let me bring the inflatable into the bedroom anymore...
  14. Hey, I wear Falcons pj's
  15. Most likely, you're right. However, if he did. He'd have Romo lighting up the NFL like Brees has been doing. As much as I hate to admit it, Sean Payton is the greatest offensive mind of our time.
  16. I'm wondering if the Koetter hire was intended to give Matt Ryan more control of the offense. I'm wondering if, since the offense was most successful when Ryan called plays at the LOS, that they wanted someone who would be less controlling, bring a few new wrinkles, but overall more likely to take a back seat to Ryan and allow him to run things.
  17. A part of me wants blood because it's the aints, but the reality is we should want severe punishment on them because this is extremely morally reprehensible by their organization as a whole.
  18. Maybe it's just because what I've been subjected to as a Falcons fan over the years, but it seems to me that most of our free agent aquisitions haven't worked out over the years.
  19. I think you guys had about 4 and a half million left over...that's probably a really good use for it
  20. It's not that we are $750k under, it's that we are carrying $750k from last year that we have left over and it can be ued towards this years cap.
  21. I don't have a favorite. I like a lot of our guys, but like gritz said, they come and go. I will always love this team no matter who is playing for it.
