Let's see, I have slush fund for a new car if I need it or a seat I'll sit in 300 times over 30 years... the analogies are endless. Bottom line a PSL is a bad investment for the average Falcons fan and by average I'm talking about the folks I've sat near that are blue to white collar workers that enjoy football. It won't just make the blue collar fans sit back and think twice, the white collar folks are going to see many other entertainment and lifestyle choices they can make with $1,000-$45K over the next 10 years.

That's a key statement, other NFL teams can justify PSLs through waiting lists and pure demand given their location. (Giants/Jets/Cowboys) The last time I checked there's no consistent strong demand for Falcons tickets. Sure there's the occasional game here and there but Falcons tickets are not hard to get. I've seen a perfectly good franchise ruined in my lifetime with the Redskins and Dan Snyder, the Falcons unfortunately are going down that same path.

Anyone with lick of business sense is never pressured into making a decision on the spot. Anyone that falls for pressure tactics is doing themselves a major disservice. I would never buy a car on the first visit to a dealership, as most people do, why would I spend thousands of dollars on the spot without putting the pressure back on the sales team and thinking it over.
Personally, I'm so disgusted with the PSL's that I've decided to cut off my ST this year. I'll still support the team and I may go to a game here and there. But as a 34 year old I'm not stupid enough to fall for the PSL trick even though I have the cash in my accounts to pay for my 2 seats on the spot.

I nan see no good reason to pay for a PSL. Especially when you don't have first refusal on ALL events. And $15K for a PSL is a year of college. Or two years at a local college. Its madness really. My living room never looked more like a better deal.

It's a pressure tactic. It's ok, you're happy with your decision and that's great BUT it's a lousy sales tactic that is used on weak business minds and it works. How many times have you said (paraphrasing) "all the best seats may be gone if you wait" in this thread. I fully understand why you created this thread and that you were pleased by how it went but it does not negate the fact that slimy sales tactics were used on you and others. The time share example that another poster brought up is a great one and it applies here. How many millions of people buy timeshares thinking they're getting a deal? Only to turn around and regret it later. It's sad really.

OR they could price the tickets reasonably and field a good team. Like they generally have done for the last seven years.I don't think the Falcons have much problem reselling tickets to the 30,000-35,000 hard core fans. Those people have proven to stick with them through thick and mostly thin. The sad part about this mess is THOSE are the people who are being priced out.
The tickets that are hard to sell are the OTHER 35,000 seats that generally go to casual fans and opposing fans via ticket brokers. And there's a very simple formula to sell those seats.
    WIN.
So most hard core fans will now be priced into being occasional game by game. And the casual fan will only come if the team wins, which we haven't done much very recently. Sound to me like the Falcons will have to worry a lot MORE about selling seats than they did before.

My wife and I walked out the of dome in the third quarter of the game against Carolina. A nicer dome wouldn't have made us stay.
