  1. I'm always amazed when a coach with a coach ot gm gets fired like that and the team goes out and wins the following week. just tells me it was all the players and not the coaches. motivation, execution all that stuff that David Quinn was telling us

Tonight's the one we win and then we'll have to listen to all that 'We've turned the corner' bullsh*t all week.  Then after we lose the next three it'll be lights out on the season but Blank won't have the heart to fire anyone during the holidays, and of course the team will win out most of the remainders and there you are again, 6-10 or 7-9, but at least we will have 'continuity' heading into next season...with Quinn at the wheel.

Sure, I'm decent., Donnie Brasco (1997) ↳ All my life I’ve...

You guys are making Arthur out to be a pussycat, how do you think made his billion? He is considering all options---club stability versus his loyalty to the people around him

My guess is we win tonight and Quinn makes it till the end of the season and is fired then

Falcons been aggressive this week in calling teams high up, including trying to get all the way to #2 for Chase Young. WASH hasn’t seemed to entertain offers to get out @NFLonFOX

I think TD will get it done but give away a lot

Falcons won’t make a move. Same thing every offseason

Something tells me they will--Arthur isn't getting any younger and that shelf he built in his office for the Lombardi trophy is getting dusty. Dimitfoff has to make a bold move now, he hasn't done anything spectacular since Julio

  5. Anyone that thinks Matt Ryan is a problem to this organization or has to go is crazy. I've seen the Falcons over the last two decades and I've seen some real ***** quarterbacks. Matt Ryan is consistent. Sure he has some faults and some bad games but enlarge he's a great quarterback. the problem is it's hard to throw passes or run a constructive offense when you're running for your life. the real problem is the offensive line

Myles Garrett should be suspended for that ****!! That is the dirtiest play I've ever seen in an NFL game!! I have no idea what the heIl that is. If Garrett isn't ejected, fined, and suspended there's something severely wrong!!

May be suspended for the rest of the year

Falcons owner weighs in on coach Dan Quinn's future

    NFL Network Insider

Atlanta Falcons owner Arthur Blank hears and feels the disappointment with how the season has gone, noting that as bad as the fans feel -- he feels just as terrible.

When you start off the season with playoff aspirations, and now sit at 1-5 -- with the Los Angeles Rams set to visit -- it hurts even worse.

"We understand the frustration of our fans, we're more than sympathetic," Blank told NFL Network during a break from the Fall League Meeting in Fort Lauderdale, Fla. "We're walking in their shoes. I'm with them. Because the expectations were different from where we are right now. When you differ that dramatically from expectations, it's always that much more disappointing."

The losses, of course, turn the focus to the job status of head coach Dan Quinn. Quinn, on the hot seat, with the owner examining his performance and the bye coming, everything is ramped up. While it's clear nothing has been decided, improvement at some point soon seems to be necessary.

Blank was asked if the bye in two weeks was a fair time to evaluate.

"I don't think that's fair," Blank said. "I don't have any specific timetable. Just looking at each game one at a time. It's the bye week, yes, but it's not a trigger for making any changes. We'll just continue to look at what we see developing and continue to support the coach and support the general manager and continue to ask them to do everything they can to put some wins up on the scoreboard."

Blank said the evaluation isn't a "one- or two-game yardstick." He said the team is committed to winning the next game and then evaluating after that.

Simply, he pointed to this Rams matchup and believes things will come out differently.

"I think we'll see some changes," Blank said. "I think you'll see them on the field on Sunday. Obviously for competitive advantage reasons, we won't talk about them, but... we have a lot of football left to play."

Perhaps those will be evident Sunday. In Blank's mind, the offense is playing better and on the right track. The defense, obviously, is struggling. And the fact that defense is Quinn's specialty and that he serves as coordinator, is not encouraging.

"Our defense has not played well, and nobody knows that better than our coach," Blank said. "That's what he's done for his entire life, a position coach, a coordinator and then a head coach. So, if there were easy answers we would've put them in place already. But we're making adjustments, he's making adjustments and hopefully they'll put us in a better position going forward."

Whatever happens in 2 weeks will definitely see an all out effort by the coaching and players against the Rams. I like our position right now DQ has been put on notice win or get fired
