  1. Neither I nor any family member works for the organization. I just add my opinion because, having studied and gone through the entire process, I think I understand the PSL benefits and downside better than most posters on the board. There is a lot of blatantly false information spread by some. In my experience, the Falcons have been totally honest and up front with me. I understand that Falcons Inc. is a business. It seems to me that they are a good one. They provide a product I want and enjoy, and they make a profit from it. I bought my PSL very early in the process. I was told that I would get early access to most events at the new stadium, but not SEC Championship games or Super Bowl. Only the 45k PSLs were going to get those. I posted that on the board at that time, and I believe it should have been well-known to pretty much everyone. If your rep told you different, then he/she was not truthful. That was not my experience.
  2. It certainly looks as if Atlanta did better with the Benz than Tampa did... Not all PSLs cost thousands. Whether or not it makes sense to purchase one is a personal decision, but even blue collar workers can get cheap seats. And the cheaper food choices help lower income fans have a better experience.
  3. Fan-friendly food prices have been a big PR hit for the Benz, and I certainly enjoy not getting hosed over snacks for the game. It has been so successful that several other stadiums in the NFL are planning to add as well. Tampa's stadium is half-empty for their games. There is no atmosphere there, corporate or otherwise. You can always get cheap seats there. The Benz is a MUCH better atmosphere.
  4. I was told SPECIFICALLY that I would not have access to my usual seats for SEC championship and Super Bowls. I'm pretty sure it was written in my contract. I feel confident that you were not told that you would get those with your seats. The inflated price that you saw for SB was probably the NFL OnLocation package. Those were available to the public and included more than just the seat.
  5. If you get the option to buy extra tickets, it is only an option. If you think they are too much, then pass. I don't believe SB tickets were an option (mine in Harrah's Club were certainly not), but they were selling on Stubhub for over 6k/seat, not counting fees. I was able to get first shot at SEC championship tickets in another section, but not my club seats. It was still a good deal. I do get my seats for Kickoff Classic games and Chick Fil-A Bowl. Whether to purchase just depends on who is playing.
  6. Ryan has 5-7 years left. I’ll worry about his replacement later. Much later.
  7. Wow. Not sure what triggered the personal insults. I used to think better of you. Choose to be unhappy if you want, that’s just not my thing. Don’t bother to respond, I’ve blocked you.
  8. Nope. We won, I’m happy. You’re the one who’s crying tonight.
  9. Sorry, but I can never hope for the Falcons to lose, not even strategic losing. And, you should really learn how to spell “idiot” before calling people that.
  10. No. We have a great QB who will be around for quite awhile.
  11. FYI...more money would not have kept Shanahan here. He got an opportunity to be a head coach in San Francisco and took it. I certainly don't blame him. OP must not have actually listened to the words of the song. It is about overcoming adversity, not about griping about everything he doesn't like in the world of Falcons football.
  12. We won. I’m happy. I doubt Panthers and Bucs are celebrating their improved draft status tonight. There are no meaningless wins; just wins. I’m actually really proud of the team for their performance the last couple of games.
  13. I don't believe that there is such a thing as a pointless win. The purpose of playing the game is to win, and I will ALWAYS prefer a win to a loss. Those of us who go to the games have more fun when the team is playing well. The fans deserve the best effort that the team can give, regardless of the record. If the purpose is to improve draft picks, we would be better off tanking from the beginning of every season for 4 years, then make a run at a Super Bowl with all of our accumulated, yet unused, talent.
  14. I got an email this week noting that I had attended every game this year and could pick up my “wings” (a special pin, I assume) at a desk outside of gate 1 at game today. This year, it feels like they should be giving out Purple Hearts LOL.
  15. Looks like Josh Harris now out for year for a hip injury. The hits just keep on coming...
  16. They will both happen at the same time when the Falcons win the SB with an undefeated season.
  17. After Turner retired, there was a great deal of talk on the Board about how he was gobbling burgers, fat, and in terrible shape. I saw him at the Benz last weekend, and I have to say that he is in great shape and looks ready to fill in for an injured Freeman. Great job, Burner!! We miss you.
  18. OP lost me at “I think Bucs will win the division”
  19. LOL, if you can’t handle an opening game road loss to the reigning SB champs then you might want to pick another way to spend your spare time!
  20. Wow. Just Wow.
  21. If you haven't found it yet, download the Falcons App. on your mobile device. Click on "Tickets" at the bottom of the screen, then "Purchase Parking", then "Purchase a Parking Package", then "2018 Atlanta Falcons Full Season", then "Buy Package". Enter your account number for your season tickets in the request line, and you will see which lots are available and that you are eligible for.
  22. I think your house analogy is good, except that it is like the seller of a house going back to a buyer 2 years later and asking for more money because the house appreciated in value. Julio could have taken a one-year deal (I guess) if he wanted and renegotiated each year for his current market value. He took a multi-year deal because that gave him some insurance (the guarantee), even though there was a risk to him that his value would increase. I don't have any problem with the ownership renegotiating with Julio if that is what they think is best for the organization, but I also have no problem with holding a hard line or trading if that is what they think is best.
  23. My guess is that ParkMobile read our board, determined that no one goes to the games, and was understandably overwhelmed by the huge number of requests .
  24. The 17.5% number actually includes tickets given to player families, Falcons staff and management, VIPs, etc. Relatively few are available for season ticket holders (now PSL owners) through the lottery.
