At this point, the only Coen Brothers film I haven’t seen is Intolerable Cruelty.
It’s been probably around 15 years or more since I saw Blood Simple, and I barely remember that one, so might be due for a re-watch.

Hate to burst your bubble, man... but yes, it was indeed intended as a joke. (Pretty sure I know what my intention was.)

I live in Durham, NC and have lived in North Carolina since the late 80's. I am surrounded by Panthers fans, most of my co-workers & best friends are Panthers fans. So I always like to poke fun at Cam or any other Panther-related players any chance I get.

Sorry you took it so seriously.

As for not looking into one play or game too much... I am like the only person on this message board that mocked AJ Terrell to us in the 1st. Ya know, when everyone in the world seemed to be whining about his performance against LSU rather than looking at his body of work? So yeah... kinda preaching to the choir with that noise.

As long as the 2nd year players continue to get better, I don't see why not. I think the drafting of Hennessy will help to stabilize LG if needed and as a backup for Mack if injury were to happen. Just as important as keeping MR2 upright is establishing a running game

I never can comprehend why people are so stupidly transfixed on what other people think about something they like/support... especially when we're talking about something totally harmless like a freaking sports team's uniform.

If someone else like them, cool. But it really doesn't matter.

Common denominator... it really doesn't matter what anyone else thinks one way or another, so just focus on your own ****.

    For their careers:
    1. Brady
    2. Brees
    3. Ryan
    4. Bridgewater

    For 2020:
    1. Ryan
He's done really well in the second year after a OC was hired, and for Koetter's second stint in Atlanta, this will be year two. The familiarity to the scheme, teammates, stadium, etc. gives Ryan an advantage over Brady's situation. If Gurley is healthy & Hurst lives up to his draft status, Ryan might have the best set of weapons in what seems to be a pretty stacked division in terms of offensive talent. That's a slight edge over Brees & Brady, and a significant edge over Bridgewater in Carolina. Ryan also still has more gas left in the tank at this point in his career than Brees or Brady.

    2. Brees
Seemed like he struggled getting the ball down the field last year. While still extremely well-poised in the pocket & accurate on short to mid range throws, his arm strength has noticeably taken a hit recently. He's still got a great offensive mind scheming things up, so that helps his case... but the fact that he's being taken off the field several plays per game in favor of Hill also says something about the value Brees has these days compared to years past where there's no way you'd ver take that guy out of the game.

    3. Brady
Brady looked like trash for a lot of last season playing for the team he's been with for almost two decades, with an OC he's had forever using a system that catered specifically to brady's comforts & abilities. While they said they're open to doing some things Brady likes, there won't be a complete overhaul of Arians scheme in Tampa. So, can a 42 year old Brady change cities, change schemes, change o-lines, and still be successful? I have my doubts.

    4. Bridgewater
Teddy's a more than capable backup/spot starter, but I just don't know if he's a long-term answer for anyone. The coaching there is a bit of a question mark at this level & the team seems to be in the midst of an overhaul, so I think lowering expectations for Teddy is best. He's got a chance to be pretty good, but I don't expect anything great.

    True.

But Ollison really didn't do anything special last year.

So if they seriously think that this kid can play a hybrid role & he looks better in those short yardage situations than Ollison did, it might not be too absurd to imagine Ollison getting cut in favor of keeping Daniel.

Just spitballing; here to gauge what would or wouldn't be considered too high of a price.

    Would you trade:

     Falcons 2021 1st & 3rd (Hooper comp pick?)
    Calvin Ridley

    for

    Jets' 2021 2nd
    Jamal Adams

I dunno, I mean clearly Adams is well worth a 1st. So then, what's the true value of the additional 3rd?

The best TD's ever done with a 3rd is...
Austin Hooper, a dude we just let walk rather than paying him to stick around.
Tevin Coleman, a dude who got hurt often, couldn't really hack it as a primary back, and was let walk rather than being retained for what wasn't a lot of money.
Thomas Decoud, a dude who had flashes of solid play, but quickly fizzled and was let go.
Harry Douglas, a dude who was solid but ultimately nothing more than an average role-player.

So would you give a 1st & one of those dudes for someone like Adams, considered to be among the best in the NFL at his position? I would.

Than consider TDs other 3rd rounders,

Would you give up the 1sr round pick and...
    Chevis Jackson?
    Chris Owens?
    Mike Johnson?
    Akeem Dent?
    Lamar Holmes?
    Dezmond Southward?
    Deadrin Senat?

I'd do that in a heartbeat.

So replace a young dude with health concerns who has barely played in 2 years with a dude who has had even bigger health concerns, is several years older, and hasn't really played in 3 years?

    Hard pass.

I like the idea of staggering the picks to consecutive years so it's not a massive hit to the draft assets in one season.

It’s too much, give a first and fourth(last option).  Keep Rico this year. I love to see what Rico could do if we have some one like Adams in deep middle. Let Rico play multiple positions in the young secondary.

I wouldn’t do a straight swap of Ridley with Jamal Adams. Ridley has 3 years left on a cheap deal, trying to sign some one like Ridley in FA will cost way more. WR get paid more than safeties.

I know, my man... just playing devil's advocate.

Berry said he did receive a few offers last year but chose to sit out. He could just be talking out his behind to give the impression there should still be a market for him if he's truly intending on making a comeback this year, but it really would not surprise me one bit if we had actually looked into signing him last season when Neal was hurt again & were turned down by Berry, thus having to turn to less exciting options.
