I know at the end of the day it is just a football game to most people. But, to me it is a true throwback to my childhood. The many Sunday afternoons watching the Falcons play growing up were very special to me. Steve Bartkowski, William Andrews, Billy White Shoes Johnson, Alfred Jenkins, Jessie Tuggle, Neon Deion, Mike Kenn, Terrance Mathis, Lynn Cain, MV7, John Abraham, Buddy Curry, Andre Bad Moon Rison, Eric Metcalf, Mick Luckhurst, Wallace Francis, Alge Crumpler, Warrick Dunn, T.J. Duckett, Quizz, Chris Miller, Chris Chandler, O.J. Santiago, Patrick Kerney, Travis Hall, Chuck Smith, Matty Ice, Michael Jenkins, Roddy White, Julio Jones, Tony Gonzalez, Jamal Anderson (the RB, not the draft bust), Big Play Ray, Tevin Coleman, Devonta Freeman, Mohamed Sanu, Taylor Gabriel, Vic Beasley, Dwight Freeney, (not Jeff George - hated that guy and was glad when he was booted off the team), Tim Dwight, Scott Case, Sean Weatherspoon, Willy Mo, Michael Turner, Gerald Riggs, Bob Christian, Patrick DiMarco, Jason Snelling, Ovie Mughelli, Desmond Trufant and so so so many more that the list would get ridiculous. Yeah, all these guys and their teams made me cheer, get pissed off, sit on the edge of my seat and almost pull my hair out. When we lost the only Super Bowl we were ever in, I was pretty upset, but I was also happy that my Falcons had finally made it to the big game. Now, being happy to be there isn't enough for this team or their fans. This team is special. This team is complete. This team is a brotherhood. This team is unselfish and there are no primadonnas on this team. They play for each other and their interactions prove as such. In just a couple of days, they are going to show the world what the Falcon fans already see. They are going to show resolve. They are going to show toughness. They are going to show explosiveness. Our team that we have waited oh so long to see become champions will do just that. Sorry, New England, it's not about you and adding to your trophy collection. It's about the Falcons and the brotherhood taking their first. I truly believe it's gonna' happen and I can't wait. I'm ecstatic as I type this. GO FALCONS!!!!!!!
