Yes to Millsap, he will teach the locker room how to be professional but We should pick up a young backup PG.  We need another playmaker like Deni.

There's a lot of players injured too.  I feel that Vince Carter should have been put in earlier to provide a spark but its hard to judge because we always fall behind and then catch up.  Because we are streaky and frequently fall behind, its hard to determine when to make that critical wholesale change.  Its a young team and hopefully the team will mature next yr.

I just learned that I can move up to row A from row C for next yr, so I'm in a REALLY good mood(will stay positive)!  I'm not against Collins, despite how some feel.  I hope he can become a top 3 PF.  I'll GLADLY eat my words if he does so.
Jeff Teague is a good PG but he depends on having teammates who know's what to do.  He's not an aggressive playmaker like Trae.  He's ALOT more of a passive-agressive playmaker that when he makes a pass and a player is open, they either make a play or make a 2nd pass for a better shot.  However, with so many rooks on the team, they are often in the wrong alignment and he's not effective with rookies.  I've been vocal about it, in this draft, there's a player who's an aggressive playmaker that I would love to have.  Especially since its not a given that Teague will stay.

I hope we thrash them next yr .. and tonight!

    100% agree.  Thank you TS!!

I'm not harping on him.  Its just that TRAE is sooo bad on defense, you can't have so many liabilities on defense.  Collins is GREAT on offense.  He knows what to do, especially on Pick and Rolls.  His 3 pt percentages are great and I've seen him make tough shot after shot.

The problem is that I think that Cam Reddish will be the 2nd best player on the team.  I think that Hunter will be our 3 and D guy.  I think that Capella will shore up our rebounds and a slight low post threat.  That leaves the PF position.  If Trae has a PF who has defense, that would be more important than a offensive PF.  When you have Lebron, you can have a Kuzma, when you have Trae, you need more of a Draymond Green.

Lastly, I don't think people are dumping on Collins (and not me either) but you can't just watch and see that much potential wasted because of a lack of defense and PED's.  Just saying...
I used to get this mad about Josh Smith too, its not like I didn't like him but even the FANs started booing when he kept shooting threes.  HE had ALL-STAR potential but he never got aggressive driving the ball to the basket (even Horford said so).  So yea, after yrs of disappointment, I'm a "show me the money" FAN.  Ben Simmons and many others can't shore up their shortcomings but again, on a team when you have Trae at the point, you have to adapt.  I don't have a personal grudge against Collins.

Because as the CAP goes up, so does the salaries.  He's getting something like 29 mil right now.

I used to like Huerter but he gets burned ALOT defensively.  Brembry just sucks and Jones sucks too.

I did take the look test from the last game and obviously I'm incorrect about the height but against most PF's he is a liability.  That being said, not strong enough to defend, gets bodied by PF's consistently, doesn't get rebounds or box out consistently,  and doesn't have the motor you would expect for a very athletic guy on both sides of the court.

The "they are under 25" doesn't work.  You should see improvements EVERY year and I don't see any significant improvements for Collins and Huerter (Huerter lacks the tools).

Collins gets bullyballed alot too.  He's a SF/PF tweener without the height nor girth to really play defense.  Hunter is TALLER than Collins, better at defense and a better 3 point shooter.  Your right, we need to trade Collins or move him to the three and beef up his defense.  Trae's lack of defense will get better if we have another playmaker.  He has to back off to ensure he doesn't get fouls.  I believe we should go after Marcus Morris in the off-season.  He shows a lot of hustle and plays GREAT defense as well as hitting tons of 3's.
Looking at Boston last night, you NEED defense and at all positions they have it.  Huerter needs to come off the bench ... Period.  I don't think Capella will be a long term fix as he can't shoot.  I think that we need to have our future like this:
    Starters:
Young, Reddish, Hunter, Morris/Aminu (good PF with defense and hit's 3's at a high clip), Wiseman
    Backup:
Teague, Huerter, Wing player (might be Brembry, although he sucks),  Fernando, Dedmon.

Like I said, Ball.  Huerter is a backup as his lack of lateral quickness and foot speed (poor defender).  Reddish can be special and he can play the 2 or the 3 with excellent defense.  Who knows if Reddish will develop into a quality player, he's more of a project than a bon-a-fide known star?  DeAndre Hunter is the real deal.  I have season tickets and he looks just as tall Paul George and he plays.

So let's say we get Lamelo ball (AGAIN he's BARELY 19, was incorrect about the 18)  In comparison Cam Reddish was born on September 1, 1999 and Lamelo Aug 22, 2001. He's TWO YEARS YOUNGER than our recent draft pick and he's STILL Growing.  Here's my vision of the first yr starting lineup
    Young, Reddish, Hunter, Collins, Capela
    backups
Lamelo, Huerter, Brembry, Skal Labissiere, Bruno Fernando/Dedmon whoever does better.

    2nd yr

Young, Lamelo, Hunter/Reddish (whoever is better) Collins, Capela
Then after 3 or 4 min
Young, Reddish/Hunter (rotate to the lessor in for both SG and SF), Collins, Capella
    Then 4 mins later
Lamelo, Huerter, Brembry, Skal, Bruno Fernando/Dedmon whoever does better
Then you can rotate each quarter or final minutes how you see fit but the minutes can be staggered.  They do it with the Clippers ALOT with Lou Williams.
This will spell Trae AND Lamelo Can you imagine Trae, Lamelo, Reddish, Hunter, Huerter, Collins, Capella and possibly a few more?  Probably need another PF but Bruno might be able to fill that position.  I Personally LOVE Jaren Jackson Jr. and/or Aminu and would trade some pieces, none of the above though to get him.

My biggest worries is that MR is not properly reading the defenses and still throwing boneheaded picks.  I also think we needed an OC that could tailor the offense to what MR does best instead of the West Coast Offense.

I get it.  I've said this for YEARS.  You get the online and dline right FIRST.  Then you can evaluate everything else.  We NEED a real running game with a BIG back, not scatbacks and to get a running game we need a good OLINE.  Once you get the play action passing going, you can do very well.  I don't like Matt Ryan but you have to have an OLINE and a complimentary running game before you do anything else.

Hunter didn't get the ball much, so no rhythm.  The PG's kept the ball 90% of the time and sucked.  Spellman and Fernando didn't get the ball either and they looked solid.  it's obvious that we r going to have 2 get vets PG's.  Even when there was spacing, they still screwed the plays up.  Had to be more than 15 turnovers.  When they rolled under picks, it ruined the post play too.  They have two days of rest.  Get guys who show promise.
