Good news bro, let’s all hope he can hold the fort down when the pads come on.  I say feed him Grady & a few other big bodies until he turns into a rock wall.

Don't have to be. The deep ball doesn't win games. Clock management does.

Anyone blaming Ryan has no idea how the receiver position works. A QB is taught to throw the ball towards a specific yard line and either on the left side of the numbers, down the hash, etc.
Whether a ball hits a receiver in stride is the responsibility of the receiver, not the qb. Let me say it again - whether a ball hits the receiver in stride is the responsibility of the RECEIVER not the QB. It’s a skill called “tracking” and the good receivers find the ball in the air, and adjust their routes in order to time the ball as it’s coming down. The receivers job is to track the ball and make the play happen. All the qb has to do is put the ball in a location that will allow for the WR to do his job (meaning not grossly over throw or under throw it).

Julio Jones, going all the way back to college, has NEVER been good at tracking a ball. Watch how well Ryan hit White or Jenkins, or Ridley or Zo, Hall, Turbo, all of these wideouts know how to track the ball and is why Ryan has never struggled to hit them (especially White, who excelled at tracking the ball).

In short, Ryan’s deep ball is better than most. In fact, where some criticize Matt, it’s actually a strength. Those high rainbow deep passes are actually better because it’s easier for WRs to track. He’s actually one of the easier deep ball throwers in the league to catch for WRs.

Kenny is everywhere - that's the truth.   If you see anything going on with the Falcons anywhere on the field - he's there.   I think he's cloned himself.

For the record, Mack was playing on a broken (fractured) leg.   We lost Schraeder and Tevin Coleman - and they were out of rhythm to boot because of the extended sideline time.  However, if the holding call had been properly offset with the missed facemask on Sanu that play - which was terribly obvious, we at least can try to pick up those few yards.   At that point, if the play was nullified we are at a 53 yard field goal - definitely in Matt Bryant's range - but with another opportunity to move the ball a few yards forward.

There were so many reasons that we lost that game - and it's difficult to pin it on one play call.

The silver lining in not drafting Justin Fields is the Falcons didn't draft Justin Fields.

I remember, a couple years ago. Someone asked the question. If a FB was the best player in the draft, like led his team in receptions and YAC, led the league in Short Yardage 1st downs, led the team in all around TDs, and was blocking like a OL and all from the FB position...just the proven all around BPD and then at the combine shows up at 6' 245lbs 35" vert, BR of 37, runs the 40 in 4.55 seconds but leads everyone else in broad jump, 3 cone, just everything. Would you let him slide past you because he's a FB?
Yeah, they would and someone would have a 1st round player in the 3rd or 4th. NFL logic. Pitts should have been the first overall. You don't have to like him, but it goes back to position prejudice and not knowing value from system to system. Pitts is NOT a traditional TE. He's Shannon Sharpe type talent. By next season, he is likely to be the most dangerous player on the team. This fanbase cries about wanting a Kelce or Kittle type, well you got one.

It can happen. If we can do something on defense and run the ball we're solid

A chance to come home, play for his favorite team, and play for a mind like Dean Pees. Nah, he'll pass if an offer is made I'm sure.

As a fan of 3 of the sports teams in Atlanta I think it’s a very exciting time for the city. In trae young, Ronald acuna jr and Kyle Pitts I see 3 potential superstars who will be bring great buzz and excitement to the city hopefully for the the next 10 years or so. Absolutely loved watching young for the hawks in the playoffs
