The limited jerseys fit more like a regular shirt. I like the fit of them a lot. But some people like the old school “baggy” jersey look. If that’s what you want, you should go up a size, possibly 2. This jersey is a large and fits me very well. A large size “game” jersey is like a dress on me though. I would probably get a medium of that type for myself. And I’m 6 feet, 190 pounds. Pics below. The numbers, name, logo, and Nike swooshes are stitched on. The “ATL” is screen printed though.

That's exactly what I was looking for, thank you so much! I tried on a Cowboys jersey at my local lids (was only limited style they had in my size - I told the associate I felt dirty even doing it) but since they didn't have a Falcons one I was curious about which portions were stitched and which weren't. I appreciate your help and sharing your info!

  2. You guys clearly have forgotten how awful 2013-2014 were. I loved Mike Smith. I thought he was going to be our Mike Tomlin - be a permanent fixture here and bring our franchise a Super Bowl. BUT, it became clear in those years that he had taken us as far as he could go.

Now, DQ obviously is going down the same road, and it looks like he made a great hire with Shanny and that almost got him a ring, but I don't want to go back to Mike Smith era at all. If DQ doesnt work out (and it's not looking good, but it's only one game) Uncle Arthur needs to look for someone young and innovative, not a retread.

  3. The font on the numbers isn’t terrible, BUT, the awful shadow feature is. Why not a full outline? Makes the jerseys look like a late 90s concept or something.

also, I see no valid reason for changing the facemask from black to chrome/silver if these are the uniforms. There is little to no silver featured so it looks extra out of place.

I am glad the clown sleeves are gone but that’s about the only positive I can find. this just about guarantees that I will not be buying a jersey any time soon.

This concept of mine is a blending of eras. It uses the red helmet and black jersey combination of the original 1960s teams. Light gray is used in place of white, reminiscent of the old sets with the gray pants and occasionally gray numbers. There are several combinations available as we saw the team use in the mid 2000s.

I used a single stripe design that thins out in the middle, similar to the wing- yet the shape is stillcontained within a traditional stripe shape. This evokes a bit of movement and speed without resorting to odd shapes and lines like we've seen from Nike lately. The stripe is consistent across all applications, similar to the Florida Gators.

Take a look at this site I made which allows you to choose your favorite combination:

    These look phenomenal

Shouldn't Julio and Ridley be able to beat single coverage?

I haven't been looking at film to see if Julio has been single covered but I'm thinking Ridley has.  Wasn't that what they drafted him for?  To be able to feast on the single coverage because of all the attention Julio is getting?

Yes they should, but they aren't. The route combos are predictable and the defenders are obviously aware of what is coming at them.

  6. He has to evaluate his route concepts. Too often receivers are stagnant when making a catch, which allows for the defense to either blanket them or quickly converge after a catch. The concepts do not get players open, it relies too heavily on crisp routes and even then results in small windows for Ryan to get the ball into before a defender is there. And let's be real, that is not Ryan's strong suit. I do not understand how so many teams will have plays with receivers running wide open, yet here we are back in 2014 where our guys are working twice as hard for half the results.

Also, the run game has to be fixed. If the defense knows we're just going to pass all day, then they can focus on pass coverage and disregard worrying about any threat of a run game. We seem to have abandoned the outside zone runs, which Freeman excelled in, and now we're back to those terribly designed inside runs where he's fortunate to squeeze through and pick up 3-4.

Bottom line is this - every scheme, concept, and play call works to perfection on paper. But if you cannot get your players to execute it on the field, or if the defense is not being manipulated as the play design would suggest, then it's time to re-evaluate.

the last 2 games he has been bad sorry man take your jersey off his first pass today should have been an int for a td he is in a funk

    Funk =

24/34 291 yds 1 TD 1 INT (tipped off Ridleys hands)

    38/52 330 yds 2 TD 0 INT

72% completions, 621 yds, 3 TDs 1 INT....what else would you like him to do? He threw a dime to Julio to tie the game only to have the defense bend over and take it from the cowboys on the ensuing drive (with some help from Quinn's time management)

I was in the stands the day the 0-13 Colts came in.

    Naturally, they left town 1-13.

I've told my friends repeatedly through the years, and it rings as true today as it ever has, but the FALCONS need to be renamed the Atlanta SLUMPBUSTERS. Too often a team will come in who has been completely deficient in some category - wins, passing TD's, rushing yds, etc, and will have a breakout game against the birds. Remember Samkon Gado? Nobody else does either, but bah gawd he had a record day against us. Remember that time Carolina ran the wildcat all game and Atl had no answer? Or that time Cleveland was reeling and fired their coach and started a rookie qb and oh no I'm going down a dark hole...

  9. I worked in a private training facility, and we had NFL guys come in. Basically in the league the S&C coaches have workouts for the players, but it’s not required they follow them. A lot of players will have workouts/plans from their college strength coach or a private coach that they follow, so the players could all be doing 53 different workouts on a given day. The quality of those workouts? Up to debate depending on situation. Now, 99% of players workout with no prodding from the team staff, because if they made it that far they know the importance of training and keeping your body in shape. But you do occassionally get 1-2% that think they don’t need it, and they dont last long.

  10. I dont know how you can be a fan of football and not appreciate that play Rodgers made last night. And honestly, not just the last play, but the whole second half. He was hobbled by a bad leg and came back from a huge deficit. He eluded pass rush from one of the elite rushers in the game and was able to hit his targets. That is not something just anyone can do.

I guess if you're an NFC north fan you probably wouldnt appreciate it.

For the low cost of $350...

Yes Nike is getting out of control with these prices! I found a Nike Elite Ryan jersey on eBay for $75 a few years back. Don’t think I could pull the trigger at full price.

  12. I think the birds drop this one. The offense still isn’t...right yet. And I still don’t trust the defense. Too often the defense will allow an answer after we score, and last week they couldnt stop Winston after 10 days to prepare. I don’t see them stopping Brees on a short week IN New Orleans, especially if Kamara is healthy. We were fortunate to knock him out early last time, I don’t think we’ll be as lucky this go round.

That’s pretty sick. My throwbacks are a white Sanders and a black Ryan. I superstitiously look at the Sanders one as a good luck charm. Wear it when I feel the team desperately needs a win. I’ve worn it once this year, against the Jets. I know, it’s silly

Last minute change and decided to wear my black Roddy from 2010 season. Let’s go birds!
