  1. Better late than never, folks. I'm Mark Tucker. Born and raised in Atlanta, I rolled out of the womb in 1952 screaming "GO FALCONS!", but had to wait a few years before we got a franchise. I currently live in Gainesville on beautiful lake Lanier and have been here about 20 years. I never married or fathered any children. I have a steady GF and I gave her a promise ring Sunday night. We'll see. It's easy for an old bachelor like me to get cold feet, but I do love her dearly. I always liked to draw and although I've never made a living with my art, I was the official cartoonist for AtlantaFalcons.com for a few years and remain the only poster in here to ever get paid to post, as far as I know. Those days are over, but I still do one here and there when I have time and a worthy idea. The money was nice, but I never really cared about that. I had gone for many years without so much as picking up a pencil and it was these boards that prompted me to start drawing again and combining two of my favorite things, cartooning and Falcons football. Originally, my cartoons were simple pen and ink jobs and then I met Gritz (Tim), who introduced me to the magic of Photoshop and rocked my world. Gritz became one of my BFFs, my brudda from another mudda, and I've had the privilege of meeting some other members through the years including Tandy, Cappy and Rev Hal. I hope in time to meet more. Here you see me posing with the original Hick'ry Stick, the same stick that has graced the hands and locker tops of Matt Ryan, Roddy White, Tony Gonzo, Corey Peters, Babs and a few others, I forget who. Since the end of the Hick'ry Stick Award, it hangs by my front door, ready to clobber any intruders or Saints fans, whichever comes first. That's about it for me. Like most of us, I optimistically await the season(s) to come under coach Quinn and the new regime. This old fan feels the energy and hears the promise from our new HC. It's gonna be a fun ride, hopefully all the way to the Promised Land! Yours truly, Supes~
  2. I was discussing the idea for this piece with my great friend Gritz and he said: "You need to have a bald dog!" I said; "I done thought of that!" Then he says; "You should have a bald Falco!" I sez; "I thought of that too!" He really is my brudda from another mudda.
  3. Yeah, it's a little bit sophisticated, enough so that it went right over LookAboutFalcon's head! Thanks, Jersey, and everyone else as well.
  4. Yep, Gritz has a "head start", and he really does look amazingly like our new coach. When he and Mrs. Gritz got here Sunday to watch the SB with me and my GF, I open the front door and exclaimed; "Coach Quinn! What a surprise!"
  5. (Click On Pic To Enlarge) The idea for this cartoon gave me another idea, folks. If and when coach Quinn gets us to a Super Bowl, we should all shave our heads in the week(s) leading up to the Big Dance as a showing of support. You too, ladies! If and when the time comes, I'll get it started with "The Shaved Head Thread", where we can all post pics of our chrome domes. Then, we could all meet at some specific corner or place for the Parade Down Peachtree after the game and show off our shiny noggins for the coach and team. Afterwards, we could take over some local pub and have ourselves a party! I'd shave my head for the possibility of a Lombardi! How 'bout you? And those of you that already sport a bare cranium, consider yourselves as having a "head start". Here's to hoping that Dan Quinn can lead us to the Promised Land for real, folks. And oh yeah, if you care to reply, please don't quote this post. It just ain't necessary,.....y'all!
  6. As Prime Time said; "The worst play-call in the history of the Super Bowl!" For all practical purposes, the Hawks had it in the bag and gave it away. Unbelievable! Oh well, we really didn't have a didn't in that fight.
  7. I'm hoping coach Quinn brings some of that "Seahawk Blend" with him to the ATL. We need to get smokin' hot and stoner cold.
  8. We have plenty of reasons to be excited about the hire. I'm working on a special cartoon to help celebrate the deal once it's official. I'll post it up Monday or Tuesday. Here's to hoping coach Quinn brings many exciting and successful seasons to his new team. Here's the keys, coach. Drive!
  9. Dan Quinn will be a Falcon, hopefully for many successful years to come. It's only natural that he will come to loathe the Saints because that's what Falcons do.
  10. Haha! That was a blast to watch for this old gray-beard! The narration and music is all 60's and I remember well many of the players. Thanks for sharing this stroll down memory lane.
  11. I hate to break this to ya, Paul, but the Falcons are an NFC team.
  12. I'll be pulling for Seattle all the way. I'd like coach Quinn to come here as our HC with 2 Super Bowl titles under his belt as their DC. We can wait on the hiring. It's a long off-season.
  13. I'm anticipating a new era in Falcons football as well and another year in TATF. The board is better than it's ever been and it's a daily ritual of mine to at least lurk a bit, if not to post. Most of us will never meet in person, but I feel like I've gotten to know many of the members through the years and I enjoy that. It is a family of passionate fans, no doubt, and a place where we can talk about the Falcons any time of year. It's fun, it's informative, and it's home.
