  1. Never been suspended or banned. Just fired.
  2. It was never my intention to ruffle anyone's feathers, I assure you.
  3. Thanks, Steve. And hey, we've discussed it in the past but I'd still like very much to get you up to Gainesville this season for a game or two. Gritz is always here on game day and it's always fun, win or lose. (Just a little more fun when we win!) I'm gonna have a new super HD projector and it's gonna be better than ever!
  4. I wanna tell you a story, Steve. When Mike Smith was hired, J-Mike (the guy before Jay Adams) did an interview with Smitty whereupon he asked him several questions. The questions were picked from submissions from these boards by J-Mike. He picked 5 questions to ask Smitty and one of them was mine. It was one of them Pod Cast things, I guess. "Coach Smith, Superfan wants to know that if you can get us our first ever back-to-back winning seasons, would you dig it if we carved an 80' tall likeness of you on the face of Stone Mountain?" Smitty blushed (turned beet red), and said "Oh my God! That would be a scary thing!" and laughed heartily. Soon thereafter, I was hired by the Falcons brass to cartoon for AF.com. The hiring had nothing to do with my question for Smitty. I had been doing cartoons for the boards for free and they liked them, so they offered me a contract and after some negotiating, I accepted. When we met for lunch in Flowery Branch to seal the deal, I expressed to the brass that if and when Smitty did get us the back-to-back winning seasons, I would like to illustrate him on Stone Mountain as per my question to him. The response was; "Would you like to give him a print in person, Mark?" Stupid question (of course I would!), and at the end of the '09 season I did the illustration. It was turned down by the brass because it had "racial implications" because "Stone Mountain was the birthplace of the Klan" and "We can't show the heads of our franchise in confederate uniforms!" I was blown away and J-Mike went to bat for me but they refused to publish it, although they did pay me for it regardless. In he eyes of the Falcons brass I was dealing with, it was a racist illustration. Go figure.
  5. I'll always think fondly of coach Smith for one particular thing...
  6. I thought he was the DC for the Raiders. No? Hmmm...
  7. There's nothing more fun than watching a great RB take over a game. It's the 4th quarter, the defense is gassed and the RB is feeling his oats, busting left, busting right and busting up the middle, moving the chains, breaking tackles and winning the game. I love it and hope to see more of it from the Falcons this season.
  8. I'd like to see us snag Gregory tonight and keep building a great D.
  9. I reckon it's time I take a little credit. I'm the one that talked Banker into making Tuggle a mod after Tugg told me he'd do it if given a chance. Banker readily agreed. He was overwhelmed since a few other fan mods had apparently quit, including Rev Hal. Tuggle in turn nominated Monoxide for additional help, especially with ABF, and it has all worked out well. I don't post a great deal anymore but I do lurk a bit and work behind the scenes when I can.
  10. Having watched the video in Artys Arryn's thread "Great Film Study on Randy Gregory", I'll just say that I'd smoke a bowl with Randy any day. Seriously, the guy likes to smoke pot. So what? I do too, and so do millions and millions of people right here in the USA, never mind the whole world. "But Supes, he's soon to be a professional athlete in the NFL! He can't be smoking the evil weed!" Hahaha! LMFAO!!! Many of them (NFL players), already do and have been for years and years. Dukes and Bell were talking about it on 92.9 The Game last week. Many of them would rather smoke pot than get strung out on pain meds, or they may simply just like the buzz. Football players are just people. Gregory is guilty of one thing, and that's flunking the test at the combine. He knew it was coming and flunked it anyway. So he's a dummy. But the test for pot shouldn't be there to begin with. Marijuana should be decriminalized nation-wide, as it has been in some states and Washington D.C. In fact, it should be completely legalized, sold and taxed just like booze because no matter how you may feel about it, it ain't ever going away. It's become an integral part of American culture and society and it's here to stay, you better believe it. Randy Gregory is a baller. Whatever he does to relax and kick back in his off time is his business and no one else's as long it doesn't hurt anyone. BRING HIM HOME, ATLANTA!!!

  12. Bush is a complimentary RB at best. He's had his moments in the NFL, but never panned out to be what he was supposed to be. When the Saints drafted Reggie back when, I was shaking in my shoes,...all for naught. Pass.
  13. What Gritz is saying is that he can't just up and sell the posters on his own. There would be all kinds of copyright and trademark infringements and nothing but trouble for Tim. The Falcons' front office was gonna buy the rights to the old one back in '09, but left him standing at the alter for no reason given. He could give them away and lose money because the printing and shipping would have to be at his cost and still there could be possible legal implications, i dunno. He could post a link where we could order our own posters directly from the printing company, but then that company would be profiting from an unlicensed NFL product, something the No Fun League would definitely frown upon. A charity organization tied to but independent of the Falcons would seem to be the only way to go at this point. It's a shame that Rev Hal's Falcon's Nation Charity Organization (FNCO) went belly up. Don't even see Rev in here anymore. I hope he's ok. But one problem with charity organizations is that they rarely spend money to make money, even for charity. They would have to incur the cost of printing up front so to have the posters in stock, something they may balk at, I dunno. They're all about donations and that's pretty much it. Someone would have to foot the cost of printing hundreds, possibly thousands of large sized wall posters and pay for shipping as well. In turn, they would be reimbursed for those cost at best, or get nothing in return at worst. And then there has to be monies (profit) for said charity to distribute. Eh,...it's a headache. The thing is, folks, that without some kind of permission and/or license, Tim's next masterpiece can never become what it should be,...a beautiful poster on the wall of most every man cave in the Falcon Nation, coast to coast. It just seems to me that there must be some licensed company that sells NFL related art, photographs and posters that could be approached to purchase the poster with rights to sell and distribute and Tim would get a percentage of the profit. Now that would be the best way to go! But then, every player portrayed on the poster would be entitled to a cut too, as well as coach Quinn and the NFL to boot! Back to the charity idea.... "Ain't nothing easy!" I say that to myself every morning when I get out of bed.
  14. I'm amazed at the folks that never saw the old one. It's not like it's never been posted in here before. Tim, you might consider the 13" x 19" aspect ratio. Know what I mean?
  15. I was at the same show. I was older and partaking in illegal substances and don't remember much about it. My friends say I had a good time.
  16. I have a full sized print Gritz gave me back when. I had it matted and framed and it's beautiful.
