  1. I'm too pre-occupied with something going on in the background to search this thread to find where it was posted, but do y'all remember the post where someone made a comment about oral *ex with no hands, and a response was "Yaaaaaaaasssssss" by a black woman with no hands in a wheelchair?  Well, ol' girl was a teacher in Kentucky.....................and she has been arrested for molesting little boys!!!

@lostone @Andrews_31 this documentary series on Ronald and Nancy Reagan on Showtime is infuriating. I was born during the tail end of Reagan and obviously didn’t experience it but the parallels to Trump are uncanny.

    Just awful, divisive people.

I saw the documentary, hard to watch, but I told you Reagan was AWFUL, much worse than Trump!

Happy Thanksgiving to you and yours 31

Same to you and yours.  Please don't invite tons of maskless people over to the lake house for Thanksgiving dinner with a hot tub chaser!:argh:  You should know by now Trump is a certified dummy, don't listen to him!  Also, after the election is certified for Biden (and it will be), you KNOW I'm going to roast you on the landslide prediction!😄

No problem, there are a lot of folks that went to smaller schools that had their allegiances in place from where they were from.

During the NCAA tournament’s it was Always a fun time talking $hit with folks from different places.

Oh and by the way, my freshman roommate was a huge UVA fan that year!

Understand.  Can't lie, I can't stand UGA football (due to their obnoxious asss Dawgs fans that couldn't find Athens on a map and sure as all **** never attended UGA (no problems with the school at all), and somewhat liked Tech (only because UGA would drag them so bad, I felt sorry for them))!

Some came through HR.  Some came through a vendor we use for new talent.  I am okay with weakish resumes as long as they can articulate their contributions and can demonstrate problem solving abilities.  I was once in their shoes, so I understand

Another thing.  Your job postings should be very specific so whatever program(s) your HR/vendors use, automatically weeds most out!  Remember, they can't help YOU if they lack the necessary skills.  I understand being nervous in interviews, buuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuut...............

This may sound dickish, but time is money, and if you are the hiring official, you don't have time to be weeding people out that shouldn't have made it to the next level of the process.  Everybody has a story!  Recalibrate your HR department or whatever vendor you use!  Remember, garbage in, garbage out!

Had to do some interviews the past week.  Had a kid tell me that he used goto my pc as an answer for how he used technology to solve a problem.  Digging into what people did at previous employers and what they contributed to those efforts was interesting.  You get a lot more than asking about language specific questions.  I just need to know these candidates can critically think and I can work them them

Who screens the resumes that cross your desk?

Was looking at you and @lostone's convo and I had no idea you were a Kappa. Not to be one of those people but I really was a heartbeat away from pledging that in college. Had done the formal application and was mentally preparing myself for line when the other guys I was supposed to pledge with decided to drop.

I tried to talk some of the brothers in the chapter into letting me be a one-man line because I wanted it that bad but they wouldn't budge. They had a new chapter the next year but I had too much going on at the time and I just didn't go for it. Probably shows my heart wasn't really in it.

But I grew up in the Stn Mtn-Lithonia area so I was surrounded by black greeks my whole life. My first gf became a Delta and I've had my fair share of AKAs. Always thought it was so cool how black people made something for themselves which is still (mostly) for us.

What's funny to me is that even though I wanted to be a Kappa, I find myself hanging out with dudes who are Ques more than any other frat.

Pledge grad/alumni chapter if you still want to do it.  Stone Mountain has a fairly active chapter, and there are other chapters in the area too (the only reason I mentioned Stone Mountain is because you stated you grew up there).

Don't hang out with those Ques!!  :argh::argh:  Nah, just messing with you! 😄  I have some really good friends that are Ques.  Of course, they talk **** about us, we talk **** about them, but it's all love!  Wasn't like that in college though.😐
